I requested design advice for living/dinning/family room areas of my home. Seidner wrote a proposal for services that amounted to $2250 and requested a retainer of$525. When I received the first bill, I anticipated that she would deduct this from the retainer--she did not, and said it would be applied to the final invoice. We were unable to complete all of her recommendations because of costs associated with recommendation to remove and relocate a bookcase. Her total itemized services provided amounted to $1312.50; my last payment was made with last invoice on 6/8/12. I emailed at one point to inquire for my retainer--she ignored my inquiry. After the death of my husband, when it was clear no further future services would be requested on the residence, the retainer was definitively requested to be returned. Ms. Seidner replied with false threats that unbillable charges were outstanding. She has kept $1837.50 for $1312.50 in services provided. Her actions are unethical as well ask criminal.

I purchased the service on June 19, 2015, and provided Jill with all the information she required to perform the service on June 24, 2015. She took my information and one week later provided me with the current layout of my room with dimensions, asking me to confirm. I did so immediately and then heard nothing else from her. On July 30, over a month after I purchased the service, I contacted her asking if she had an estimate on her timing. She responded the next day, apologized and said she would have it mid the next week. I told her not to worry that I was going on vacation and wouldn't be back until August 17, so she could get me something by August 17. She agreed that she would have something to me by August 17. On August 24 -- a week after she said she would get me something -- I, again, checked in to see where things stood. No response. Three days later, on August 27, I tried again and, this time, she responded that she would respond "soon." On September 1, I still not heard from her and sent her an email indicating that I wanted a refund. <br /> On September 1, Jill sent me two options for a layout for my room. These were exactly what the name would imply -- a computer-sketch drawing of the dimensions of my room with how to arrange the furniture. I was asked to choose one of the two. No additional details or discussion were invited or offered. I chose one that same day and she responded that she had received. <br /> On September 9, having heard nothing from Jill since our last communication on September 1, I again sent her an email. She responded, apologized and said she would have the final plan to me by the end of the week (Sept. 4) or the next Monday (Sept. 7). <br /> On September 14, I received the final plan and it was not worth the $375 nor the nearly three months of waiting. It was what one would expect of someone who just needed to get my project off her desk as quickly as she could. The plan included two to three options for each of (1) fabric for reupholstering my couches, (2) a side chair, (3) a side table, (4) an area rug, (5) a desk and (6) a desk chair -- and, for the accessories, (7) a couple of pillows. There was nothing regarding artwork, lighting or paint swatches, nor was there any discussion or notes about how this fit in with my current decor. It was a complete waste of my time and money. <br />

It didn't go well. It's really because when I asked Angie's List to give me somebody for interior decorating, I expected that somebody would come over and talk to us about it. It played a different role. She just texted and said "Measure everything in your house and measure it back to me. I'll send you something virtual." It was not something we asked for. They don't want to measure my furniture and rooms. I wanted somebody to come and look at what we have in assessment. It's a $75 deal and I don't know what to do about that. I expected a real interior design person to come and check our house to tell us what she thinks would be good for us. It's not a typical interior decorator design service. I had to pay somebody else to do the job.

Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.   <br /> Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs. <br />

Excellent - I ended up hiring someone to help with shopping and finishing piece - waste of time and money. Jill's service was by far the most useful and best value in my decorating process. <br />

It went well. She lives in a different state so everything was done electronically. She was fairly responsive. However she said that she’d send fabric samples, and I never received them.

They did a good job. She had to submit like a photo but my daughter had them work on the central are of the loft. The deal was for one room. She got a lot of good ideal from her and it was worth it for her. They were professional and I did not hear anything negative.

I loved her service! I enjoyed the design. She was very pleasant, kind, talented, and professional! This was a long distance consultation service, which made this experience even more incredible!

Purchased coupon on August 11, 2011.  Because I was remodeling my kitchen myself after work and weekends, I didn't have time to deal with the creating the room drafts, plans, layouts or measurements she required.  I did contact Jill and explain the situation and she was very understanding.  She said because I contacted her, not to worry about the deadline.  I remained in contact with her over the next few years (that's how long it took me) and when I was ready around the start of 2014, she worked hard to provide her new design. <br /> A true professional and great person to work with.  The design was spot on and my wife and i were very impressed.  Thank you Jill. <br />

Jill provided two different floor plans for us, and was very flexible, as far as working the option of piano into the room.  She responded to several follow-up questions I had, and provided suggestions for where to locate resources.  Jill was very easy to work with, and very accommodating. However, I found the process of working with a "virtual designer" to be a bit challenging for me.  That was definitely no fault of Jill's, thought.  I would use her again, particularly if I needed help with planning a room layout. <br />

She was fine. We were working long distance and communication took place via phone and email. I would not ever hire someone long distance again for design work unless I see something on their website that is exactly what I like. She was very responsive though and she provided us with pictures of sample furniture and physical designs. I gave her a 'B' because she didn’t take a lot of time to customize the plan to our style. I expected her to adapt to our style, but instead she tried to make our living room fit her style. She seems to have a look that is her style and we actually asked her re-do the plan a few times before we got something usable. In the end, she is very good at what she does and she is very professional, but her design style doesn’t fit our way of living.

We discussed designs for our family room. She was easy to work with and everything was done through email. We sent Jill details about the room and photos. She understood things well, sent us back ideas and a few room plans. We didn’t use her ideas but they were valuable for us for other perspectives. The deal was exactly what we expected.

<p>Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

It was all right; we didn’t really get anything worthwhile out of it.  She was pleasant to work with, it is just what she advertised versus what we got was way out.  There was nothing really robust about it.  She was polite and pleasant to talk to and what not but her work wasn’t that great. 

We liked our interior design plan that we received , but it just took a long time to get the final plan.  She had told us in the beginning that she had gotten a big response to that deal. <br /> <br />
