JIM'S DRIVEWAY SEALING

Before starting this project we met with and received proposals from 10 contractors. From the start Jim was the most responsive and knowledgeable contactor that we met. Jim spent hours with us going over our plan and sent us the most detailed proposal that covered all of our needs and concerns. Jims knowledge and professionalism are unsurpassed. His team was always prompt, professional, and hard working. Jim and his team were able to balance the needs of the project with the needs of our staff with no disruption to our employees and business. We are very happy with the finished product. I was not present when the sealing was done but it was done by the time I got home on the day I was told it would be done. The job was clean with no extraneous sealer on the lawn.

They're pretty good.? They were good.? I think they could have did a thicker coat.? They were quick and reliable.

Jim's Driveway Sealing did a great job. Estimate was provided about a day or two after inquiring about getting driveway resealed. They contacted me the day before prior to arriving and the work was done on time and looked great.

Price was reasonable and contract looked okay so I went with them. They seemed to do a decent job of course I will only know how it holds up as time goes by. I wanted to be home when they did the job but they were available on a day which I wasn't able to be there and I would have to wait days or even weeks for another day so I went ahead and scheduled it ( lesson learned always be there when having something like this done.) My biggest issue was with them not paving a small section on the driveway entrance that was about 10'x10' and thinking it was fine to leave like that. When I contacted them they said they would look into it I sent pictures and said how would you feel if you paid all this money and feel like the job was incomplete and didn't look right, It actually made no sense to leave that little section not done. Besides aesthetics the edge of the asphalt connecting to the main road would be run over every time possibly causing problems in the future. I was then told that this small section wasn't part of the agreement and that I would have to pay an extra 500 to get it done. I tried to see if they would go down and they told me no. I've dealt with a lot of contractors and never found anyone to be this unreasonable. I asked if they thought the driveway looked complete as it was and even if made any sense for that area not to have been done the first time around and they agreed with me but wouldn't go down on the price. I felt I had no choice so I went ahead and did it, They came and finished the job in less than an hour. After the job was completed I asked their office for an invoice showing I had paid them in full , they responded telling me that they don't give out invoices and contract they had sent me for me to sign was sufficient ( the contract was signed by me but not by the other party involved so therefore not a binding contract, so it really isn't sufficient.) I don't understand why they would deny me something so simple, sounds pretty shady .... Like I said I hope the work they did was good enough and will hold up but only time will tell. As far as customer service for them to make me pay for something that should've been done the first time around is ridiculous. I would not hire them again or recommend them to anyone I know, As soon as they finished I took that company sign they had posted in front of my property and threw it out. After all the times dealing with contractors this is the first bad review I have ever wrote and as a business owner I would never deal with a situation the way they did, at the end of the day you end up loosing way more than the $500 extra they charged me. I'm guessing they have enough work and just don't care enough about their customers, referrals etc. I'm posting pictures so you can see I am not being unreasonable.

It went great! Have a long fairly steep driveway. Had to reschedule a couple of times due to an illness in the family. Marie in the office was fantastic and Luis and his crew...what could I say? They were pleasant, hard working and as professional as they come!!

Could not have been more pleased.  Had the driveway originally done back in July.  There were a couple of spots that may have been missed by the crew or the sealcoat may not have dried properly.  Not only did they come back a re-do, they re-did the whole driveway so everything matched no questions asked.  These guys are fantastic.  Fair price, good customer service, especially from Marie!!  Thank you Jim's!!! <br />

I've had others reseal my driveway over the years but I have to say that this was the finest outcome I've ever had - both in thoroughness, neatness and appearance - and neighbors have given me compliments on how well it looks. I'm also impressed that they did the job (1200 square foot driveway) in about 20 minutes - when I've had two-man crews take several hours to do the job with the results looking not nearly as good. I will be very interested to see how it holds up this winter after multiple snowstorms and multiple scrapings with my snowblower. <br /> The only thing I didn't like was how much time it took waiting for the job to be done. I contacted them in mid-April and they said they do no driveways before Memorial Day as warm weather shortens the wait time to re-use the driveway. They also said they needed 2-3 days of no rain in the forecast. I suspect the latter was largely the problem as it seemed like it was either raining or forecast to rain in any 3-day time period. Nevertheless, out of frustration, I finally e-mailed them in early July to remind them that I was waiting, and only then did the job get done shortly after that. They did apologize for the delay, but no explanation given. <br />

We got estimates from three different companies. We decided to use Jim's Driveway because the price seemed in line with what we expected and we also liked the fact that they wait two weeks between prepping the driveway with item#4 and paving to give the item#4 a chance to settle and get packed down. They actually showed up on time for each step. Douglas and his crew worked like a well-oiled machine to get the job done. Each crew member had a job to do and they worked so well together from start to finish. It was very impressive. When they left, our yard and street were clean and spotless. The driveway looks beautiful! I highly recommend them. <br />

I wrote an earlier poor review because the company did not provide the estimates I wanted for the work to be done.  A few days after that review appeared, they called and responded very quickly with the estimate I needed.  I was impressed that they wanted to clear up the error and worked hard to do so.  <br /> <br /> I had used them in the past and had been happy with the work. The finished product this time was excellently done also.  I would recommend them to anyone.
