J &J Framing did an outstanding job. The type of framing I had done was very unique.  I had purchased 5 antique walnut frames from different antique stores in Greensboro and Salisbury.  I collect antique plates and wanted them mounted on the inside of these frames without the glass.  I also wanted some silk fabric that I had purchased to be used as a backdrop for each plate.  They look stunning and the quality of Dave's work is outstanding.  My sister-in-law also had some framing done and she was equally pleased. I will definitely go back to J&J Framing again.  Double check the address because I don't think the address posted is correct.  The frame shop is on Hillsborough St. in Durham. <br />

We had a painting fall off the wall and all the glass shattered. I took it to J&J and he was able to find a match to the original frame and re-do the framing.  Not only did he do an incredible job, but at no cost he delivered it to my home so I did not have to try and get it in my car. <br /> He is an artist professional friendly and I wold use him again (and will) and recommend him without hesitation. <br />

They were experienced, professional, and friendly. The framed portrait was beautifully done and in the time they promised. I would definitely recommend them.

David Smith of J & J Framing was fabulous. He has a good eye, made some great suggestions. He had to come to the house twice - one to take several art pieces damaged in the move to fix the frames. He did a great job and very reasonably priced. He's a keeper - I'll use him in the future and recommend him to all.

Framed picture; noticed issue when we were to pick up which he addressed right away. Will definitely go back for more (and we did-he was very helpful on a subsequent framing project for my son and delivered it in time so my son could give to his dad for Christmas. Have a great selection of frames, mats and glass. He is also quite helpful in identifying options I hadn't considered for framing the items.

The owner of this business is top notch.   Very friendly, very efficient, and the work was perfect.  In fact, I have already used him a second time since the first 'Angie's list' deal. |Highly recommended.

This transaction was excellent from beginning to end.  I bought a special deal - $49.00 for $100.00 worth of framing.  David Smith's communication was excellent.  We communicated by telephone and e-mail.  He helped me pick out a frame for a poster and another picture.  He completed the job quicker than I expected.  The work is perfect - and I saved $51.00 by using the Angie's list voucher.  I will absolutely use his company again. <br />

Wonderful experience, from the beginning when I called and asked if they could do it and the answer was "Sure".  Other studios I had called "needed to see it" or "not sure", David never missed a beat. The store was neat, and it is apparent that framing is their job, unlike others that "also frame".   I had expected to find out the only options would be a mass produced box with generic hooks holding my sword.  David assured me that I was getting a custom made shadow box, and that the sword would appear to float under the glass.   <br />     The finished product FAR exceeded my expectations!  I don't know how he did it, but I can not see how my sword is mounted and it does appear to float.  It was not cheap, but neither was the craftsmanship, and it is something that will last for generations to come. <br />     During the time I was picking out what I wanted, David showed me a collection of other work they have done.  I think they have done it all.  From basket-ball jerseys to pistols, even a large tobacco leaf (not sure how he did that one either) they seem to be able to tackle anything you want.  One of the things that really impressed me was when I asked about museum glass (something I had heard about elsewhere) and he told me he could use it, but for what I was doing it wasn't necessary.  He didn't think my sword would fade in the sun and I didn't need to spend the extra money.  I appreciate that, because I certainly would have spent it had he recommended it.   <br />     He won me over with his motto of ofering three types of service "Good, Fast, or Cheap, you can pick ANY TWO".  He will get more of my buisness. <br /> <br />

It’s just the one time that we have used them and they did a good job.
