JJJ construction

Everyone we dealt with was very nice. The painters arrived on time and were hard workers. The quote was to power wash, prime (with a heavy duty Mad Dog primer) and apply two coats of paint, however, I believe only one coat of paint was applied. I brought this up with the owner and the workers insist they put on two coats of paint, but some of the original paint showed through in spots. This means they would have had to miss the same spots each time they applied a coat of paint. The trim and siding they replaced was done well. This work was done in September of 2015 and I was assured the paint would last at least a few years. They told me the Mad Dog primer would take care of any problem areas. Unfortunately, the paint is already peeling in some areas. I sent multiple emails to the company over the past two weeks and left a voice mail. I have yet to be contacted by anyone. This is very disappointing.

Avoid this company at all costs!

Great job and done in one day

There was more construction work that needed to be done before painting than originally thought.  The contractor worked his way around the house making the necessary repairs, starting in the front and ending in the back yard.  This way the painters could start on the front of the house.  All construction work was top-notch and definitelyy should have been done years ago.  The extent of the repairs was a little more than what was included in the original estimate, and resulted in a $400 up-charge, but once we saw the finished product, it was well worth the extra money.  There is something to be said for peace of mind.  The house has never looked this good.

Mr. Cardilli subcontracts his work out and oversaw the construction. He helped us figure out what to present to the insurance company so that the majority of the work done was eventually covered by our home owner's policy. He was in constant contact throughout the project. He helped us develop a plan that allowed us to remain in the house during construction except for the floor refinishing. This was an important factor for us.  <br /> He remained in constant contact with us about the process, what we needed to do and by when. He checked in on the job daily either by phone or site.  The construction crew he hired was excellent. They were very thorough in their daily clean up of the house including little conveniences like plugging in alarm clocks and setting them to setting up our beds in other rooms during construction.  The painting crew was good, but work needed to be checked for thorough paint coverage. We found paint on bed spreads, curtains, and floor.  They did not clean up as well as the carpenters. The flooring crew completed their job within the given time frame and the work was excellent. All work was completed within the expected time line.  <br /> This was the first time we have ever hired a contractor to do work for us. I will add a couple of things we learned in the process. If you want / need an itemized list of all work and materials used, put that expectation in the contract. Additionally request that any work beyond the agreed upon work is approved (cost) prior to starting the needed work. When the additional work is done, check the work and time required for labor to be sure it is accurate. <br /> Overall this experience was a good one. The subcontractors were polite and pleasant to our family. Mr. Cardilli was attentive and responsive to all our emails and calls. <br />

I had several contractors come by to give an estimate on the work. One never showed up, one came by several times with different subcontractors but never gave me an estimate, one gave an estimate leaving off a couple of things, and the price was outrageous. Jason came by, took notes, sent me an estimate within a week, which was detailed and accurate.  <br /> I agreed to the contract, and though it took a while for him to get started, when he did, the work moved along quickly. Everyone who came to the job was efficient, respectful, punctual.  <br /> The project came out great! I've had so many compliments from my neighbors. I asked Jason to give me an estimate on some interior painting, because I trust him, his work and his team. I will definitely be hiring JJJ again and would be comfortable recommending him to friends. <br />

Jay was great and very communicative through all stages of service.  Services had to be rescheduled a few times due to weather issues, but Jay was always up front about this, and let me know with advanced notice that we needed to be rescheduled.  The day of service was very easy, the workers were fast, professional, and unobtrusive.  And the final product was beautiful.  My decks look great and I would use this business again in the future. <br />

Upon calling Jay for an estimate  - he came out promptly to look at the job in hand.  He supplied a detailed estimate within a couple of days and we agreed upon this.  His crew began working within a couple of weeks of original suggested date due to bad weather they could not start earlier.  Once here, they were very hardworking, thorough and professional.  All of his crew were excellent painters and took their time to make it look really nice.  They cleaned up each day after they left and were respectful of the property.  <br /> I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and neighbors.  I will be using this company in the future to update our bathroom and replace handrails in the hallway.  <br /> Bethany, Jay's wife deals with the administration/financial side and is a delightful lady. <br /> This is a great company that believe in good workmanship.

I really wanted to like this company. I liked the owners; I liked that they were local, and I liked that they were a small, family-owned company. I did not like that the owners left for vacation the week that the majority of the work was to be done. I did not like that many of the wooden shingles were sanded, resulting in what looks like a poor paint job in many spots. I did not like that no one called to tell me about an upstairs windowsill that fell apart during prep. I had to call to ask about that, which prompted the employee (who admitted that he had considered the job done) to call the owner. I do like that the sill was repaired shortly thereafter--in fact, I like the carpentry work in general. I like that some of the shingles were replaced so that the paint job that I see every time I enter the house looks better. I don't like that many other parts of the house don't look so good. I also really, really, really don't like that the owners never showed up to look over the job with me. An appointment for such was scheduled, but no one showed. The checks I wrote were promptly cashed, though. I wish I had hung on to the last one until someone came to assess the job, but, alas, I did not. Bottom line: I will not use this company again, nor will I recommend them to others. (And I really wanted  to be able to do that!) <br />

The whole process went extremely well.  Both Jay's, as well as their crew, were extremely friendly.  I felt well informed of the process from the day they come to assess the job to the day the last brush stroke was made.  Even when I had questions during the process, they were timely on getting back to me.  I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. <br />

JJJ and there guys were amazing! From my first call to set up an appointment for an estimate through the very last touch up they were helpful, courteous, insightful, and professional. They treated me like family! We started off with a dismal, dark paneled, living room and a dilapidated sun porch that they redesigned into an absolutely gorgeous new bedroom suite! It was a pretty extensive project that included removing a set of sliding glass doors as well as quite a few windows before installing a new header beam.  They also installed a beautiful new hardwood floor, new windows, and doors! Then they were so helpful when it came to choosing colors and the finished paint job was incredible. I can't wait to have them remodel my antiquated avocado green bathroom in Spring 2015! <br />

Jason was great! I decided at the last minute to paint the exterior of my home in late fall in preperation to put it on the market in the spring. Jason got right back to me, offered one of the lowest prices and was able to start the day after we signed the contract. I was able to reach him via email and cell anytime and the work was superb. The original quote was 4900 but then we had some rotted shingles he replaced for 400. My husband, who is very picky, was very happy with the results. I now need some interior construction work and am having him come again to look. will be my first call from now on!! <br />

Overall, they did a wonderful job. The only thing that I wish was a little better was the trim around the front door. Never got to sand and finish off the trim around the front door. Other than that, they were always on time. They made suggestions for the stain on the side and back shingles and it came out beautiful. They were extremely pleasant and very neat. They did a wonderful job sanding and prepping the house for the paint, so a year later, it has held up very well, even with all the sun we get on the front of the  house. I would absolutely use them again and  I would definitely recommend them to others. <br />

Weather caused delay.  Some disagreement in terms of contract.  My <br /> intent was for all exterior painted surfaces to be repainted.  Contract <br /> said "trim".  We worked out the issue with some increase to cover some <br /> older windows.  Lesson learned, make sure contract matches your <br /> intentions. <br />

I was pleased with the overall work product.  The prices were reasonable.  Bethany was responsive.  It was a little tough to get a hold of them in the beginning, but that sorted itself out.  I would and have recommended them to others. <br />

Full interior paint

As with any exterior work, weather caused a few delays.  When we had a firm start date, they arrived on time and were very professional and respectful. They explained the planned schedule of what they would be doing when, and hey followed it. At times I can be a tough customer due to my expectations of quality. I am willing to pay to get it. I had them do some extra sanding and filling in some dimples and gouges to get a better final appearance to the house. <br /> I have to say that they met every expectation I had and even exceeded a few..  I had told them that they should replace any rotted wood they find, but they still wanted to get my OK each time they found more rot. I appreciated this as there was a substantial amount of rot on the fascia boards behind the gutters and some on the trim.  I was aware of about 50% of what they found. The job they did replacing the wood was exceptional and they did it all within the planned schedule. They were also very accommodating to our schedule to have them not be working on the bedroom sides of the house prior to 9:00am. They would work on other parts of the house prior to 9:00 and the bedroom portion after that. <br /> I can not say enough positive about them and their work. Very professional, considerate, excellent communication, and quality work. <br /> I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We hired JJJ Painting because of the great reviews and I really liked Jason and his wife Bethany when i spoke with them. Even during an extremely busy painting time, they completed the job a day early and with amazing detail. My husband and i would go to the house each night to see the progress and i would take note if i saw something not perfect. By the next day when i was there it was already perfect. I never once had to point out something (and i am a perfectionist). The whole house turned out beautiful and i loved that Bethany gave me ideas for colors when i was stuck. We are so happy with their work!
