I waited weeks and weeks for them to come. They did what they were supposed to but I did need work on a shelf that is slanted and they were not able to get that part of the work as time ran out.

He is excellent. He is reliable. He has a crew of men that he has do the work and I touch base with him throughout the year and he keeps an eye on the house.

The provider was suppose to fix some basic plumbing along with a few other repairs.  From there the provider without do any further work continued to bill and add to cost.  Furthermore the plumbing repair that was done burst this recent clod spell for the winter 2013/2014, and had to be redone, this time by a professional.  I have since ask the provider to give me a full itemized cost of services to which I have received nothing.  I have paid the provide $2000 to which I have proof of.  Furthermore the provider has now placed a lien on the house in which I plan to fight though the lean is less than $1000, and after lawyers cost it will probably be easier to simply pay it off.   From herre my only recourse is to send a certified letter and then hopefully not have to take legal action as the costs continue to rise.  The repair work that was done was a changing of plumbing in the front bathroom from copper to PVC. <br />

It was on time and efficient and they cleaned up themselves well.

The initial two painters did not do a great job. The company owner came to the house as soon as I called regarding the progress and quality of the work. He then sent out other painters who did an excellent job and were efficient. I was very pleased with the other two projects and would use the company again.

The first appoint was missed. <br /> Second appt was prompt, workman friendly, seemed knowledgeable but seemed to take too long to get the job done. <br />

He sent someone out to fix some sliding doors in my hallway. When he got here, he took one down to look at it. He tried to go to Menard's to get replacements, but couldn’t find any. The worker went back to his boss, and they did more searching. After about 3 weeks, I called him, and he said that he could not find the replacements. On September 20, I gave him one last chance, but he had no solution.  I then asked for a refund of the $65, and he agreed to give me the refund.  It has now been 3 weeks, and I have not received the refund. I also spoke to him on October 1 and October 4, and he promised on each phone call that he would put the check in the mail.

One word. Awesome <br />

Excellent.  JK got right back to me, and was out the next day for an estimate.  The workers were nice, and they were able to problem- solve whatever obstacles presented themselves.  Much of the work was done while I was out of town, and they left everything clean and in good shape.  I returned to find work that exceeded my expectations. <br /> We are very pleased with the updated bathroom and will certainly use JK again.  Highly recommended for small and medium sized home improvement projects. <br />

The rep that came out was young, but very knowledgeable of general mechanical, electrical and home maintenance skills.  He knew exactly how to appropriately position and attach the ceiling rack to the ceiling joists in the garage (they were hidden because of the garage ceiling) so that it would be firmly mounted and hold it's specified weight. <br /> I had tried fixing the storm door from rubbing on the door jamb with no success.  He was able to fix this problem by driving screws into the edge of the storm door itself at the point of binding to pull it closer to it's internal wood frame. <br /> Reversing the position of the electrical switches was a simple task for him. <br /> He was very polite, pleasant and respectful the entire time at my house.  The $65.00 fee was an Angie's List special for two hours of work.  He finished in exactly two hours and did not waste any time. <br />

No estimates which were repeatedly promised to be done when the crawl space cover was also scheduled. <br /> I did not expect prices on the spot..just someone who could communicate what needed done- <br />2. Was promised by his assistant that he would tell the boss that I needed prices. <br />3. Boss had both phones, I am currently using only one.. <br />4. NO ONE EVER FOLLOWED UP ON PROMISED ESTIMATE/s <br />5. I got some illegible bill receipt from HOME DEPOT for VENTS--summer vents? <br />6. I never said that I wanted a multi-season crawl space cover. I mentioned that maybe a sliding screen could be added--when there was time. For now I wanted cold-weather, wind-cover. Jeez. <br /> 7. I never even saw these vents. Just screens I guess. The bill was Way past a piece of plywood (2 x 3) <br /> <br />Its almost August. I meant to share my bizarre experience..but I hate to give bad ratings. I kept waiting for the helper or the owner to get caught up..sad but true. <br />So I am just now telling the full truth. To warn others. <br />Even communication is a ZERO. <br />Nice sqare of plywood. With basic handles. <br />

BATHROOM FLOOR LOOKS GOOD. I WANTED A CERTAIN TYPE OF FAUCET INSTALLED IN TUB/SHOWER, COULD NOT BE DONE UNLESS A WHOLE WALL WAS TORN OUT TO RECONFIGURE THE STUDS (WOULD GET TOO EXPENSIVE), THE SHOWER HEAD STILL MOVES FROM BEHIND THE WALL, BUT THE WALL ,ONCE AGAIN, WOULD HAVE TO BE TAKEN OUT TO FIX IT SO I WILL NEED TO CAULK IT TO STOP THE MOVEMENT. THE MOULDING AND TRIM WERE EXCELLENT. THE PAINTING WAS ALRIGHT, I WISH SOMETHING COULD HAVE BEEN DONE ABOUT A CERTAIN SECTION OF THE WALL THAT NEEDS PANELED, BUT TIME RAN OUT AND IT WAS SKIPPED FOR NOW, WILL PROBABLY HAVE IT TILED OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT BY THESE GUYS IN THE FUTURE. VERY PROMPT, RESOLVED ANY PROBLEMS I HAD. RESPONSIVENESS- I AM AN EMAIL SORT OF PERSON, SOMETIMES THE EMAIL REPLIES COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE SUCCINCT AND NOT VAGUE, HAD TO EMAIL A COUPLE OF TIMES TO GET ONE REPLY. <br />

Sterve arrived on time and immediately went to work.  I estimated the job would take only a couple of hours however, I was quite wrong!  Removing the glass tiles was a very tedious job but Steve never got impatient or upset.  He remained professional and completed the job in approximately three and a half hours, working non-stop the entire time! <br /> <br />

My problem was not with the gentlement that came to do the repairs. He did a good job. <br /> However, when I made the arrangements over the phone and explained to the owner what I needed he said he would buy the subfloor board that I needed and bring it.I would reimburse him for the materials.  He did not check out the job ahead of time nor did he inform his worker on what he was supposed to do. <br /> When the worker got there, he said he was told he would just be laying some tile. He didn't know he had to remove the carpeting. He did not bring the subfloor board which was discussed at the time of arranging. This meant he had to make a trip to Menards, about 3 miles away to get the material. When he got back, he didn't realize he couldn't nail it down because it was on top of concrete. I had explained this to the owner. I have a trilevel house. So that meant another trip to the hardware store to get the glue. This caused my $65 coupon to become a $255.73 project. When I got the bill I called the owner and told him he was at fault for not informing his worker on what we had discussed. He knocked out $40. off the bill. <br /> If this guy came prepared, as the owner and I had discussed, the job could have been done within the 2 hours. <br /> Iwill not recommend JK home repairs for nothing! Stay away! It was a lousy experience. <br /> <br />

THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND CAME OUT AS   PROMISED, BUT I DON'T THINK THE SERVICE MEN WERE ACTUALLY KNOWLEGABLE ABOUT WHAT I WANTED DONE. <br />

He did a fairly good job and worked rather quickly. Since he ran about 5 minutes over, he did leave a few staples in the floor and pieces of the carpet pad. All in all, I was satisfied with the work. I just wish the communication had been better. <br /> I chose No to the answer if I would use this company again in the future. The reason is that they charged $65/hour labor, which I believe is unreasonable. There are other contractors out there who don't charge near that amount and do just as good work. <br /> <br />

after  getting all the parts we gave him a call and he gave us a date one week from the day we called. <br /> On the installation day he and his plumber arrived promptly .  After making sure his worker fully understood all to be done, Joe left. <br /> His plumber, Ron, was very professional , knowledgeable , quick and pleasant to have around.  <br /> Due to the original piping in our home being a bit difficult to adapt to the new fixtures, Ron had to return the next morning.  Again he was prompt and Joe came by a bit later also to make sure everything was going smoothly. The job was done in a day and a half to our great satisfaction. <br /> The next day Joe stopped by to make sure everything was still working properly and we were totally satisfied with the work performed  <br /> We plan on having JK perform more jobs for us in the future as the service was great and the pricing was great also. <br /> I would heartily recommend JK to anyone needing any kind of work on their home. <br />

We love our new bathroom!  The tunnel skylight has been a huge hit in a small bathroom with no windows.  Joe, the  owner, of JK Repair, recommended it to us.  We had never heard of one.  Most of our friends are absolutely amazed at the light it gives and are thinking of areas in their homes that can use one.  Our small bathroom looks roomy and spacious. The tile work and painting are A+.  It was truly a transformation.  Thanks Rob, Randy and Joe for the great work! <br />

The work was completed quickly and very well.  I don't think there is anything that can stump the repairman. He was able to track down a part for the kitchen sink even though several stores told him it had to be ordered.  Also, the areas he worked in were just as clean when he left as they were when he arrived.  <br /> The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable.  I especially like that his bills are very detailed and include copies of the sales receipts for all items purchased. <br />   <br /> I will definitely put their number on speed dial. <br />

I took advantage of a special on Angie's site for 2 hours of work for $65. The gentlemen tha came and switched the hardware on my sinks were pleasant, courteous, professional, and competent. Highly recommend. <br />
