Mike was already there before our agreed time, and he already walked the property for the outside inspection. He did a very diligent one floor at the time and walked my and my broker through everything he found. Many aspects were addressed which were insightful. His entire inspection took 3.5h for a 2-bedroom single family house. Mike is old school with paper notes and no iPad or so, but he takes pictures, and I received a comprehensive 8-page report + valuable resources within 24h. Great experience all around!!

Michael Atwell knows his stuff! He carefully examined the inside and outside of my condo. He knowledgeably and patiently explained various strengths and weaknesses of the property. His report is smartly organized by issues that merit immediate attention and those that cap be mapped over several years, to help the reader thinking about how to pace the work of home improvement.

While I do not often write I just had to in this case. I had called Michael Atwell on a Friday for a needed Monday inspection. Michael had come highly recommended to me. Michael showed on time at 10am on the Monday and probably spent upwards of 5 hours delving into and taking the time to explain every item he found, what the fix was, and where other improvements could be beneficial. All this on a BRAND NEW HOUSE!! Mr. Atwell is highly knowledgeable but more important he can bring it to the level that you are at individually. He came me the needed lengthy punch list the next day as I needed to get the contract finalized with the builder, and then quickly followed with the full report. His fee was entirely reasonable as well. In short he brought a level of professionalism and detail to the table that made me and my wife entirely comfortable> Highlight recommend and would use again!!!

Having gone through the home-buying process three times, I've worked with multiple inspectors, and after my trusted family friend retired, I was anxious about finding someone I could rely on. Michael Atwell exceeded all my expectations. Mike provided my wife and me with the information we needed to make informed decisions. He was easy to work with and thorough in his inspection, but what stood out was his approach. He didn't come with an ego or a "know-it-all" attitude. Mike goes above and beyond for your home inspection. He doesn't cut any corners and makes sure you understand everything as you walk through the inspection with him. He makes sure all your questions are answered as best he can and doesn't try to scare you but just tells it like it is. I am very grateful for Mike's service. I added the extra radon test as well for $75.
