When she left her husband we worked it out with them to go when he was at Cedar Point to get her stuff out of the house. He was holding her stuff ransom. Unless she did what he wanted her to do then he wasn’t going to let her have her stuff, even though the court gave her this stuff. They were supposed to get together in the house and divide everything that was in the house that wasn’t on the list. He had a list of stuff he was to keep, a list of stuff she was to keep, and then the list of stuff they were to divide up. Unless she did what he wanted, he was going to be busy. We called them and checked with the prosecutor because the house is still in her name also and he said as long as her name is still on the house there is nothing to stop her from going in and getting her property. So while he took the kids to Cedar Point for his work picnic we went in and got her stuff, and JM Movers met us there. They moved from one street to the next and she wound up with more stuff than we anticipated. We didn't realize she had so much crap. So they had to make two trips. It's like so much for the first 4 hours and so much per hour after. So it wound up being the same price.

1) They inefficiently loaded the truck and left a portion of my belongings behind. I had to make 5-6 trips to move the rest of my things. Each trip was 2 hours round trip drive time. 2) The move took 13 hours. Ridiculously long! I used a different moving company 3 years prior with the same belongings and it only took 7 hours and they moved everything in one move. 3) They did not wrap any of my artwork or fragile pieces as they state they will do on their website. 4) They took quite a few cigarette breaks and left cigarette butts all over the yard. 5) They did not move my treadmill during the initial move because the crew was inexperienced with moving treadmills and they were afraid to move it. I had to reschedule to move it with Craig Boothe, the owner, on a different day and time that was convenient for him. 6) They broke the front screen door when moving the treadmill and left a deep gouge in the wall. They never offered to come out and fix it. They only mailed a $12 part which I had to repeatedly ask for for 2 months. 7) They dropped an over 100# headboard onto the bed frame causing 2 large gouges in the headboard and the frame. It cost over $200 worth of damage. After 3 months of vicious, attacking emails from Craig Boothe and a lot of run around and getting stood up for the repair, he refused to fix the headboard or compensate for the damage per the contract. He told me to take him to court. 8) When I took Craig to court he did not show up, in which I won by default. Craig Boothe never paid the court judgment. 9) During this entire stressful process, 6 months in total, Craig Boothe was mostly unresponsive, but when he was responsive he was abrasive and unprofessional. Not someone you would want to do business with.

They did a great job moving the hot tub. It took them a total of 30 minutes to get everything done and were very careful not to damage anything. They drove out in the rain and took the chance that it would stop just enough to get the hot tub moved to hold the date that they committed to. It did stop raining and they worked well to get the 7x7' hot tub moved off of a 4 foot deck. They were very courteous and easy to work with. I would definitely hire JM movers again in the future.

<p>J.M. MOVERS, picked up my items at storage locker, worked thru a rain storm, then picked up additional items at my house, moved me to my new house, worked 10 hours and never broke anything and did whatever I asked them. excellent men did an exceptional job for me. Will use again if I move. </p> <br />

The two guys were 10 minutes late. They carefully moved the contents of my apartment but I have a treadmill that the guys didn't know how to get out of the door so they needed to disassemble part of it. They said they do that all the time but they didn't know how to get it back together when they got it back to my house. This was very disappointing. If you aren't sure you can get it back together, you shouldn't take it apart. They didn't even try to get it out the door first before taking it apart. It is a very heavy treadmill which is why I help them move it but they are the professional movers so I trusted they knew what they were doing. That was a big mistake. Another comment I want to make is the back of their truck was filthy dirty on the floor and when they put my mattress in the truck they got my mattress dirty on the side that was on the floor. They need to sweep out their truck after each move to keep their truck clean. <br /> All in All the guys worked very h****** this hot and humid day and I couldn't have moved without their help. They were nice guys and they they did a decent job. I paid for 4 hours with the Angie's List Deal but I ended up going 3 hours over and had to pay an additional $85 per hour plus tax. The guys said I had to pay the balance in cash which I thought was unprofessional but I made sure the mover gave me a receipt. <br />

It was the smoothest move I've ever had - moved probably 12+ times in the last 20 years. <br /> I bought the Angie's List deal for 2 men, 17' truck, and 4 hours of moving services on Friday, July 18, hoping to move as soon as possible. They scheduled me for 2 days later, Sunday, July 20 between 1-2pm. They showed up a few minutes before 1:00. <br /> They were friendly and professional, and never batted an eye over the challenges, which included: <br /> - Tight stairwell at the move-out location, meaning the couch and mattress set had to be lowered outside over the balcony rail. They had all the appropriate straps/pads, and knew exactly how to get this done with no damage to the house or furniture. <br /> - Tough navigation of the truck at both locations. <br /> - Move-in location was 4 level townhome - they carried everything to the requested floor without a scratch. <br /> - They worked thoroughly and consistently until the job was done, with no breaks other than a few sips of the water and gatorade they brought. <br /> No complaints whatsoever - I would use this crew again and would highly recommend to anyone. <br /> Thank you! <br /> <br /> <br />

The day didn't start out so well - they were scheduled to be at our condo at 1:00pm and didn't arrive until almost 4:00pm - but that was the only complaint of the day. The drivers did keep me in the loop of their progress and how late they would be, which was appreciated. They were professional and worked hard, only taking a couple of short water breaks. Some of the angles on the staircase were tight, and with heavy bedroom furniture I expected some damage to the walls - but when all was said and done, there were only a couple minor scratches. <br /> All in all, I would definitely use JM Movers in the future. <br /> <br />

Before signing the form stating job was completed I wrote that I was not satisfied due to damages. A few days after move I sent pictures of scratched furniture as instructed to do by Kristen. On March 3 I called and left a message for Kristen inquiring why I had not heard back from her, and when I would. It is now March 4 in the evening and still no return call. I would absolutely NOT recommend this company to anyone. I can understand and give allowance due to the accident, but the callousness and lack of responsiveness since the move is totally unacceptable. As I previously said the three movers were polite and worked hard and quickly, but after looking over all my things in the following day or two I feel their quickness was at my expense. I guess you get what you pay for.......I found them through an "Angie's Deal", and should have known it was too good to be true!

After driving our U-Haul though multiple snowstorms from Massachusetts to Ohio, we arrived too late for our scheduled movers. They were booked the next day so we had to find someone fast. I called JM on a Sunday night, and to my amazement they answered the phone and were able to send a crew the next morning. The 3 men worked tirelessly in the bitter cold. They were friendly, cheerful (even in the 4th hour), and efficient. They got the piano into the house without a problem. They were very careful with anything fragile, including our son's delicate music equipment. The price was reasonable, and payment via Paypal was easy. We were very satisfied.

It went well. They showed up on time and were polite and conscientious. They were very careful to protect both the floors and the walls. Worked the whole way through and did not take breaks. I have some stuff to move in the future that I will have them take a look and hopefully move, which in my mind is the best review I could give. <br />

It was completely awful. The first couple hours went okay. While they were loading the washer & dryer, they left my belongings on the snow covered driveway. Somewhere in the loading & unloading, the wood furniture got completely filthy. They kept things sitting in the snow. I had to get my upholstered furniture "Green Machined". They broke a vase, one of the workers left without notice with his wife but still charged me for the services. I bought them lunch thinking it might take about 10 minutes for their help, but they took almost an hour break. The next day, they called me and let me know there was some shoes left in the truck, and he said he would be coming back by to drop them off, but never did. I emailed Craig about the shoes 12 days ago, and after telling him I would be leaving a review with Angie's List and the BBB regarding the experience, I immediately got a response back. I had verified that I was going to pay with PayPal, but at the end of the job, they told me it was $855 and only accepted cash, and charged me tax as well. They would not leave until I paid them, after taking care of that, the total fee was higher than the quote. Craig was irate and unprofessional that the had to process it through PayPal, even though that was the initial agreement. I disputed the charge on PayPal, and immediately after he left me a voicemail, threatening to sue me and calling me nasty names. He still hasn't addressed my damaged property and have not offered restitution. They were completely careless and didn't mind my belongings. The reason I hired them is because I wanted a professional, but they didn't care. I have had a positive experience with them when I purchased a Big Deal, but this time was no good. FYI: If you use PayPal, they WILL charge you a processing fee.

First, the company was very responsive when I wanted to change my move date up by a week, making scheduling really easy. The movers arrived promptly. They warned us that our pressboard bookshelves might not travel well (which they didn't, one made it, the other did not - however, it was repaired pretty easily). They were very professional. The distance between my apartment and the street was pretty far, so it slowed down the process through no fault of theirs. They unloaded really quickly. I bought a special on Angie's list for 4 hours and they finished in 3.5, keeping us from going over budget. They were troopers about getting the furniture up the stairs. I was pleased with their services and would use them again. <br />

They were great! I had two movers they came right when they said they would be there. They completed the job within the time frame I had purchased, which was 4 hours. When they took apart my bed, they even put the nuts and bolts back in the bed, which will be convenient later. They used pads when moving.
