J & M Roofing

I am extremely disappointed with this company and their lack of communication with their customers and lack of organization with paperwork/permits during the process. Everything seemed great and the staff were friendly when trying to receive the sale, but once the sale was received things spiraled from there. They did not check with the town to receive a permit for my neighbors portion (hip) even though they were aware that they were installing the roof of my duplex, my hip, and the neighbors hip per mandate from my HOA. They started the work without my neighbor’s permit, ripping off all of my shingles already. They have now stopped work and stated they could not continue until their is a permit for the second duplex and are leaving my roof undone. My HOA stated they gave the information to them. The roofing company said they’d call me that evening with updates. (I did not receive a call) It has been two days the roof has been left this way, and with a lack of communication and apologetic nature. I have heard no updates as to the new timeline and asked for the owners direct line. This type of communication and organization is unprofessional and the steps that were missed are unacceptable. I was promised the work would take no longer than 2 days and it has certainly exceeded that. Please save yourself from the headache I have dealt with during this already hard time of year.

I was very pleased from the first moment I met their representative, Shy. All my questions were answered promptly. They were patient with the payment process which had to go back and forth through insurance and mortgage companies. All work went as planned and right on the time schedule they had given me. Could not have asked for a more smooth process.

Jackie and Dave were great to work with throughout the process. Leading up to getting the new roof installed, we had a crazy storm rip through. I reached out to Jackie and she rallied the troops (while she was on vacation!!) and got someone from her team to rush over and caulk a compromised spot on the roof, which kept us dry until the new roof was put on. I can’t say enough great things about the whole team!

Excellent workmanship. Jackie and Dave were there if I had any questions. Very professional and prompt. Had our roof replaced in 2 days. Our Insurance company even recommended them . They said they were a honest and good company to work with. I only had to pay my deductible.

Great work above and beyond expectations

Went very well. He showed up on time to do a quote with the shingles he needed already in the truck. The price was good and he was able to do the job right then, so he got it. The job was done properly and in the time he said it would take. Everything looks good as new!!

This is a well-deserved, very positive review. We highly recommend this company. My wife and I decided to act preemptively and replace our roof because we didn’t want it to start leaking. I did a search on Angies List and came up with several promising candidates. We solicited bids and interviewed those most promising. J&M roofing submitted the lowest bid, but that wasn’t the only reason we selected them. Kevin (Marketing Director) and “Shy” (General Manager) made the most impressive presentation so we awarded them the contract. Work began on schedule and we were most impressed with the work team. They worked very hard, in terrible conditions (hottest week of the year) for 12 and 13 hour days. They completed the project (about 4,000 sqft) in 3 days, just as Kevin had predicted. They cleaned up after themselves real well. They were al very friendly and responsive to any requests. The GM came out twice to check on the progress and to do a final inspection of the roof himself. He found two shingles that he felt needed to be replaced and someone came quickly to do this. There were several other inspections to make sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. The final result is a beautiful new roof, We couldn’t be more satisfied. Quality control is definitely high on their list of priorities.

I've had J&M Roofing out for two different repair jobs and have been completely satisfied each time. in both cases Matt Gadue was quick to show up (within 24 hours) to assess and estimate the job. The estimates were fair and the time frame to repair was quick. No job overruns and the work exceeded my expectations in each case. I've worked with a lot of contractors over the years, and Matt is truly top notch. Not only does he do great work, but he makes sure you understand what he is doing and that you feel like his best/only customer. Thanks for all the work on my house!

Met all expectations

The work itself seemed to go well but admin seemed to have problems with documents, i.e., Certificate of Completion, so financial matters could be resolved in an expedient manner. That part was a nightmare!

Although the crew showed up and worked hard, the office admin staff was difficult to work with when it came to the business side of things and they dragged things out quite a bit. All in all, a lesson learned.

Extremely impressed with the professionalism and honesty of this company. they arrived on time, brought their own equipment. They got on the roof and took pictures to show me what they found. A few minutes after the inspection started the manager arrived to talk with me and oversee the inspection. They did a thorough job which took almost an hour. At the end they showed me the photos and their recommendations. Punch line to the story: They did not recommend a new roof at this time. It still has at least 5 years of life left. And they did not charge me for the inspection. Believe me they will get my business in 5 years!!

I had hail damage done to my roof and hired J&M Roofing. My insurance covered the roof and the money was sent to J&M. During the repair of the work, J&M never told me how much it would be and said not to worry about it because the insurance company would take care of it. I told them regardless of what happens my insurance and mortgage is going to go up and I'd like to know the costs. He would continually say not to worry about it. By the time the work was done, I received a check in the mail from my insurance company that had my name and the J&M's name on it. This check was for the difference of the value of the roof after the work had been taken out. I sent the check to J&M without signing it and they cashed it and they cashed it anyway and said that I still owed them a deductible, which was already paid. I told J&M that I already paid the deductible and that the money was mine. J&M have kept the check and cashed it and still asking for an additional $1000 for deductible. In the receipt for the work, it said that they glazed windows and did electrical work which never occurred. They submitted this to my insurance company however and were paid for it.

They called me in advance to let me know the roof installation schedule - from the dumpster, the materials, when the crew was going to start, when the inspections were happening then clean up and dumpster pick up. The experience with J&M went smooth and was painless. The final outcome was that I have the best looking, secure, safe roof on thew block!

The roofers cleaned and left our property free from debris after it was completed.  From sales to final inspection, all J & M representatives were courteous, prompt, and professional.  I recommended J & M Roofing to several of our neighbors.

My house flooded due to the negligence of this company.... The owner, Mike Koehler,  <br /> will not return my phone calls, help me to correct the damage, or even finish a small punch list.  Tiffany, their sales representative, was always pleasant and very sympathetic, but she did not have the power or resources to help me.  I would not wish this nightmare on anyone.  Mercury Insurance, whom insured J and M, suggested that I file a claim with my homeowners insurance company..  The saddest part of this story is that this could have all been prevented and avoided... I made multiple calls warning this company of the upcoming storm and I was told the home was protected and not to worry.  <br /> Estimates for repair are currently over $40,000.00  <br /> My insurance company, St Johns Insurance, is helping me get this mess cleaned up.  I would highly recommend St Johns Insurance..they have been great.  <br />

It went very well. I wae surprised how fast and the quailty of the work.They were a little slow taking the dumpster out of here but that wasn't J@M fault.
