In December 2024, we hired Jeremy to remodel both of our bathrooms, a project we were initially excited about. While the written contract outlined the basics, Jeremy verbally promised a specific plan: remodel the upstairs bathroom first, then extend and remodel the downstairs bathroom while expanding our downstairs bedroom into an adjacent workroom—a creative idea he proposed himself. He also assured us the entire job would be completed in just two weeks. We were thrilled by the vision and timeline, though we made it clear we’d understand if such an ambitious project took longer. We paid $10,000 upfront (half the total cost) as a down payment, expecting a professional and reliable process. What followed was anything but. Jeremy sent a young, seemingly inexperienced crew (estimated ages 18-20) to gut our upstairs bathroom. He was never present himself, which felt odd for such a significant job. The crew’s inexperience quickly showed—they left dust and debris trails throughout our home, scattered broken bathtub and toilet pieces across our porch for weeks (until we insisted they remove them), and scratched our hardwood floors by dragging materials without care. Their early morning arrivals disrupted our schedule, and though Jeremy agreed to adjust their start time after a polite discussion, he later used this as an excuse for abandoning the project. Over the next two months, the job stalled. Days of no-shows turned into weeks, with empty promises of “see you tomorrow” and no calls or texts to explain absences. Frustrated, we called Jeremy in February 2025, asking him to personally oversee and finish the work. He agreed to start Monday, 2/24, but that morning—five minutes before his scheduled arrival—his wife texted, claiming he’d been hospitalized since Friday and that they’d contacted their attorney about a refund. When we questioned this sudden shift, Jeremy’s demeanor flipped. He resorted to name-calling, threatened blackmail, and said we’d “see him in court.” The upstairs bathroom remains gutted, the downstairs plans untouched, and our home worse off than before. We stayed civil and patient throughout, partly because Jeremy blamed past negative reviews on “rude” clients—something we took seriously and worked hard to avoid. We have extensive screenshots documenting his promises, excuses, and eventual hostility. His unprofessionalism, poor communication, and failure to deliver have left us out $10,000 with a damaged home and no resolution. Proceed with caution if considering his services.

Jeremy and his crew were fantastic from start to finish. He's great to work with. His crew was friendly, accommodating and cleaned up very thoroughly when done. His price beat everyone AND I got a higher quality shingle. My roof looks amazing and I'll definitely be using JOAT for my next home project.

Working with Jeremie was an absolute nightmare. And I have proof of this. Not only did they fail to complete the home project, but they abandoned it halfway through, (with very nasty text messages) leaving us with shoddy workmanship and a mess to clean up, for example, excrement left by one of his workers who left it in the toilet for weeks. They also damaged the garage door, and never had the intention to fix it. There was zero time management or supervision, leading to constant delays and excuses. The quality of their work was appalling, with obvious signs of incompetence at every turn. Jeremie was incredibly rude and unprofessional. For a veteran who is supposed to be Military family- friendly, it was beyond disappointing. Save yourself the headache and avoid Joat services at all costs. They failed to deliver on every promise they made.

This project was not one I planned on doing but it needed to be done and I wanted it done correctly. It was promised to be completed in one day - and it was! Work stated about 7:30 AM and was finished by 5:00 PM including a thorough cleanup of the work site. Priced well for a Class 4 quality shingles. Nice to know I don’t have to be concerned with any more hail storms!

For the most part it went well, but there was a glitch at the end. I believe JOAT did exceptional work and easily adjusted to unexpected changes in the repair demand. I would recommend JOAT for all plumbing concerns. They’re a reputable company with a good work ethic, knowledgeable and skilled, and deliver services at a fair cost.

At first I was only going to have Jeremy work on our in ground sprinkling system. As we talked, I found him friendly and very helpful with suggestions as to how to proceed. Soon we were talking about painting the interior of our newly purchased house. A job I wanted done quickly but was having a hard time finding a workman who I believe was reasonably priced. Jeremy was willing to do the work and had a "Can Do" spirit about him. Once started, my wife and I chose to pull carpeting, remove a wet bar and lay down laminate flooring. Jeremy was able and willing to do the work and remain flexible with our changing plans. He also helped with smaller jobs that needed to be done but had little to do with the job I hired him to do. Jeremy is hard working, conscientious, thorough and a friend. The work is still ongoing, but I know there will be future work and I will be sure to call upon him yet again.
