The ice dispenser motor was constantly running and nothing would turn it off unless the power was cut off to the refrigerator. John came out and was able to diagnose the issue and have the replacement part overnighted. The next day he came and replaced it. I would hire him again in a heartbeat! Thank you John!

Perfectly! There was a 1 week delay because the the supply house was out of elements. We were kept informed and Mr James came out the day after the element arrived. Both John James and his staff are very professional. I will certainly use them again.

He came out on Saturday of Labor Day weekend with no extra charge for holiday weekend. He was very knowledgeable about the required parts. Ordered parts were promptly installed.

Came back out to reposition the way the compressor was installed to make it quieter by correcting a vibration. Came out right away and no charge. Very happy now!

The service man evaluated the issues and gave us an estimate for repairs. Since the repairs would cost $500, he advised it wouldn't be worth it. We asked for his recommendation for a new dishwasher and followed his suggestion. Very professional and prompt.

John was responsive, coming out the day we requested. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to get a part to replace and repair very quickly and cost effectively. Luckily for us, our refrigerator broke the same week. He put it on life support while we decided if we wanted to invest in the part to repair it or buy a new one. We decided to repair and look forward to his visit to fix it.

We called and a lady answered. We were told that service might be done on that day. Several hours later, the technician called us. He came about one hour later and started checking the appliances. The microwave, which suddenly stopped working, needed a new fuse. Within 20 minutes after the technician's arrival, it started working again, He next checked the dryer, which kept rotating when the door was open. He told us it needed a door switch replaced and gave us a quote. We agreed and it was repaired quickly. He gave us one year warranty for the switch, All together, we paid $247.81 (after $10 off coupon from Angie's list). The cost was reasonable, the service was quick; further, the technician was courteous. We are happy with John James Appliance Service and would use it again in the future.

Called them and explained the problem to the lady answering the phone. I told her the oven turned off multiple times at different temperatures and each time I'd go out to the breaker box and have to flip the switch to the oven back to "on" and then it'd work again for a few random minutes before turning off again. I told her this process kept happening over and over. She was very friendly and tried her best to get us on the schedule quickly. I think she tried too hard, and on the first day they weren't able to get to us at the time they said they would aim for, but that was completely ok. The next day, the tech came out and as soon as my wife explained the problem to him, in less than a minute he said it doesn't sound like the oven it sounds like the breaker. He said we needed to call an electrician to fix the problem. But I guess since he was already there, he spent 15 minutes turning on the oven and verifying it did indeed turn off multiple times, and that when you flipped the breaker back "on" it worked fine again until some other random point. He then proceeded to charge us the $85 visit fee, which in the company's defense, we were told about. However, when my wife pointed out to him that in talking to him for less than a minute he knew it wasn't an appliance issue, he continued to argue that he provided an inspection and verified it was not an issue with the appliance. He proceeded to argue with my wife for almost 10 minutes, about as long as he inspected the oven. I told her to just pay him, although we were deeply disappointed in their service and procedures. I have had multiple contractors and service providers from Angie's List come over, and several times the same kind of situation has happened where right away they know they cannot fix the problem, and NOT ONCE have they wasted our time and our money like John James appliance did. This whole situation could have been avoided if the original phone call was transferred to a tech or if she asked a tech if it sounded like an appliance issue. I know many times it is difficult to diagnose things over the phone, but in talking with the tech he realized the problem pretty quickly. The end of the story? Our trusted electrician came over, showed us where the breaker wire was loose, and replaced the breaker part for $65 TOTAL.

Fantastic, family establishment. From the minute I called them to the minute they left my house I received top notch customer service. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and was able to determine what the issue was. I will be using them any time I need appliance repair and also recommend them to anyone that is in need.

They sent someone out the same day I called. He replaced the part and got it working very quickly.

He tried the simple fix first, unplug the washer and wait 20 seconds. It worked for a week or so, and then we needed to purchase a new control panel. Since he was there, I had him diagnose the problem with the dryer and he suggested a new part. I have used John James Appliance repair before for my refrigerator and they are diligent about their service. I would absolutely recommend them.

He diagnosed the problem, told us that the cost of repairs would be more than the machine is worth, gave us recommendation of new washing machines to purchase. He came out on a Saturday night, worked very efficiently, and only charged us $85. He was really great, and we will always call on him when we need appliance repair.
