All aspects of my dealings with John Jones Electric were best in class - my initial call to make an appointment was returned within a few minutes, John and JT (father and son) showed up at the appointed time to review the required work and supplied an estimate, and then returned the following day to complete all the tasks. I was particularly impressed by the installation of the security lights - top notch materials, and care taken to conceal the conduit as much as possible. Both men were very polite and professional, and answered all questions I had while they were working. The only quibble I had was the price - after subtracting estimated material costs, I calculate I paid close to $200/hour for the labor, so for a day's work, I paid what takes me as a senior professional more than a week to earn.

We understand that some customers are not aware of the costs to operate a professional service company. Just to clarify, the price you paid was not labor plus material. We do not charge by the hour. The upfront price our licensed electricians give the customer stays the same whether it takes 1 day or 4 days to complete the job. With 33 years in business, some jobs are performed quicker and smoother than others. Our flat rate pricing includes our costs of doing business - (vehicles, fuel, wages, taxes, tools, material, office expenses, education, licensing, Insurance - general liability, auto, workers comp, and health). We appreciate your business and John Jones Electric will always strive to give our customers professional, quality work with great customer service."

A crew of two came in and, quickly and efficiently repaired the broken overhead switch. They even put on shoe covers so they wouldn't track anything across the kitchen floor.

It was all fixed in one visit. Required a circuit breaker replacement, shut off box replacement, GFI switch in attic.

They were prompt, competent, and careful to explain to me what needed to be done, what they were doing and any additional problems found. and patiently answered all my questions. Were pleasant to have around even though working hard all day in the summer heat. I use them for all my electrical issues.

This is the second time I have used John Jones electric. I love that Peggy answers the phone every time I call. I love that she returns my calls promptly. I love the quality of service that John Jones Electric provides along with the price. Both times I have used them the final cost of the services was lower than the original estimate. They do the work that needs to be done and don't add on unnecessary work to increase the bill. It really builds trust on my part. My daughter just bought an older home that needs electrical work. I told her to call John Jones Electric. That says something. I highly recommend.

<p>The installation is excellent. Of course it had to be weather/water proof, important with electricity! the final installation looks great and the new LED floodlights make cooking in the dark fun and quality at the same time.</p> <p>Most important is that both John and TJ are wonderful people. Careful when the enter the house, courteous at every point. You would never be concerned with them in or around your home. I am sure they both learned from Peggy (wife and mother) who takes the calls and makes sure the "boys" respond accordingly.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Overall, a great experience and we will use them and recommend them whenever there si something electrical needed.</p> <br />

<p>When I called to schedule, my call was handled quickly and the appointment was scheduled to accommodate my needs. The appointment was set for between 10am-Noon. I was contacted at 9:45am that they were on their way to the house.</p> <p>They arrived promptly, diagnosed and offered me a fair price for the work. They completed the job to my satisfaction. Both gentlemen were very professional and courteous. I enjoyed speaking with them and they taught me what I needed to do in the future to make adjustments if I wanted to.</p> <p>I am very happy to have found this service through Angie's list. I had called an "electrician" off of Craigslist who recommended cutting into the sheet rock to diagnose my problem. I refused and had John Jones Electric come out instead. John and TJ were able to isolate my issue(s) in about an hour or so and had me back up and running. They could have given me the runaround since the problem would've been difficult to diagnose or tried to upsell me, but they didn't do that. I will absolutely call them again if I have electrical issues. <br />

Mr. Jones & his son were courteous and professional and did an excellent job. The only reason that I did not give them an "A" on price is that I did not comparison shop and therefore do not know if their price was competitive or not. I would use them again without hesitation. <br />
