Excellent job! The floor was old and I thought about removing it. Called them, John came out and said they could resand the floor and replace tiles. He understood it was also a radiant heat floor and came up with a solution and quote that was fair. Workers arrived on time, cleared room, sealed off room from rest of house and got to work. After sanding the floor looked amazing, and after staining and 2 coats of oil based polyurethane (right solution) it looked incredible. All COVID precautions taken, John came back to check in during the job and afterwards for walk through. This was a very good job at a reasonable price. I'm extremely happy with the results and will call them again in 50 years when I need to re-do the floor. In the meantime it should be fine until then :-)

Save yourself the frustration and heartbreak and don’t let the John K. Eareckson & company anywhere near your wood floors. First, they are a broker that uses subcontractors that neither have the skill set or knowledge to be refinishing wood floors. It’s piecework to them and seems they could care less about doing a quality job. Several issues were pointed out to the subcontractor during the sanding process which they ignored until later when their mistake was pointed out by the Eareckson Companies project manager, well after the job was done. I requested a walk through with the project manager (which didn’t take place until a week later) and after the results of the meeting they send back someone to repair their mistakes, unfortunately, they made a bad job worse. They literally ruined my floors, between the un-sanded areas to botch application of the finish in several places as well. I will also mention that they made a mess of my house as well, dust very where, very little clean-up, and the polyurethane on baseboards and walls. They even dumped there sanding in the park across the street, neighbors were none too happy. So do yourself a favor and forget about the John K. Eareckson & Co. You’ll be a lot happier. Brendan

Wayne never came to the site, laid too quickly by Hispanic crew, not enough space left at edges and doors so floor buckled, cheaper than other bids but horrible outcome in the end. Did NOT RESPOND to requests to fix.

This firm is most impressive do to the speed at which they complete their tasks. Wayne was very responsive and always available to discuss the project. The workmen sanded and test stained multiple strips of floor to ensure that I would be happy with the final stain color. Uniquely, they did not charge extra for the stain coat.

You get what you pay for. I went with Wayne because he was a lot cheaper than another bid I had. He was responsive to start, he came over to measure and put together an estimate. He then sent his "guys" (Tyre) over within a week and took 3-4 days to complete the job. However, upon returning to the home, I noticed at least 5 areas where Tyre clearly didn't apply the stain properly, 4 larger areas that were bubbling and multiple places where they got stain 3 feet up the wall. It is one thing to get a little dark stain along the baseboard, but they somehow got stain 5-6 feet up the wall, on the inside of the bathroom doors and not to mention all over the baseboard and door frames.
I called Wayne to come over and look at Tyre's work because I thought it was unprofessional. When Wayne arrived, he agreed and sent Tyre back to redo the job. Tyre came back - but this time he made an even bigger mess along the newly painted walls, inside and outside bathroom doors that they didn't even need to go inside. If anyone walked into this house they wouldn't believe how sloppy the workmanship was - they left a trail wherever they went in our home. I told Wayne this was unacceptable and he said he would get Tyre to call me and get back there for a third time. Tyre never called and Wayne basically ignored me from that point on. His early responsiveness was met by complete silence.
At the end of the day, Wayne wasn't cheaper at all because I had to pay someone to come in and clean up their sloppy work never mind the floors don't look like an "A" rated professional did them. I would not recommend Wayne - he did not conduct nor perform work in a quality manner. Nor did he try and resolve the problem at the end of the day. You are better off paying more initially for someone professional than having Wayne come in and do a "C" job and leave a mess all over the baseboard, walls, and cabinets that you have to fix.
This project went extremely smooth. Wayne gave us a favorable estimate and met all of his committed dates. The job was done in 2 steps. After the floor installation, Wayne gave us a week to relocate furinture/etc. for the floors that required re-finishing except for the heavy items which his crew helped us with. They spent time with us making sure that the existing floors would match the new floors installed. All new shoe moulding was also installed. The flooring crew were very experienced and very neat around the house. They took special care to seal off the rooms especially when sanding and cleaning the floors. Wayne visited us at least 2 times per day to make sure all our needs were being met. After completion of the work and allowing 2 days for the urethane to dry, he sent his crew back to help us move the heavy furiniture back into place. Extremely Satisified JOB WELL DONE!!!
They did a great job refinishing my floors. Price was reasonable. After Day One, they sent me a video via email of the progress, since I wasn't able to go inside the house. I was very impressed. It's been a couple of years now, but the floors still look great.
They did a spectacular job. They gave us a spectacular deal on the flooring. We got solid hardwood Brazilian probably close to 3,000 square feet. They did a spectacular installation job. They stayed there. We're having kitchen cabinets put in the next day. The flooring had to go in so they stayed until 11 o'clock at night to get the job done. It looked beautiful when it was finished.

We wanted the same (replacement) faucet for the sink in the kitchen, but that company had gone out of business. So Mr. Eareckson found an identical faucet...but that one was overly expensive, so he kept searching and found a perfect match at a much lower price. He then installed it. While the search took some time, once located and procured, the replacement faucet was in place pronto, and the price was very reasonable.
Wanted to rip out wall to wall carpeting and fix up the hardwood floors on stairs and second floor of a row house. the original pine floors were in horrible shape, so refinishing them turned out not to be an option. Wayne was super helpful in working with me on the solution I wanted, which was to find reclaimed flooring to lay in and finish in place. We used Oak. His team did a great job. They sent me regular photos and even a video of the progress. They were great at quick problem solving, letting me know right away if there was an issue so we could figure out how to resolve it. The stairs were in worse shape than expected too, so we had to lay over new boards. they put in a really thin plywood on the risers so as to maintain as much depth on rather shallow stairs. They laid the flooring into the closets and installed nailers for nice finished look. They got the work done in three days, even with the various complications, which worked well with my move in date. They left the place reasonably clean for having sanded, although that stuff get everywhere. Wayne came by to make sure I was happy with the results a few days later and they quickly found a fix for some exposed edges. I could not be happier with the results.
They were really quick and efficient. There was some sloppiness and we had to have them come back to redo some stuff. They got stain from the hardwood on the white shoe molding and he expected us to paint that ourselves and that was frustrating. We when we asked him about it, he responded that we should have got new shoe molding and that's why they recommend shoe molding. We had to argue with him to get him to replace it. It was pretty frustrating. This was after the floors were done. The floors looked really good and in the end everything worked out well. It wasn't as smooth as we would have liked. The price was pretty good. Since they messed up it was kind of frustrating. They were responsive and got back to us quick. He wasn't professional at all to begin with; just the way he went around his business he didn't seem like a very professional business it seemed like he just showed up and happened to set up appointments. I understand people make mistakes but they should not argue. He just kind of argued with us until he lost. I don't believe it was the owner but he was their main contact. When we called the direct number it went to his cell phone.

First let me say that I am a do-it-yourselfer and wanted to do this job myself. When I started getting bids they were so high that I was convinced I was going to do it myself. After talking to a woman at work she recommended Eareckson from her past dealings. His price and her satisfaction swayed me to get an estimate. Other people were also so booked that they couldn't see me for weeks/months.
Wayne Manger and his workers were prompt, showed up on time when promised, and did a wonderful job. My floors look better than new. I got a price that was HALF of the other guys that came out for estimates. They put plastic up so there was no mess drifting into any other rooms and I was surprised as to how clean of a job it was. Everyone said that our house would have sawdust everywhere but that was not the case at all. I highly recommend This company and will call them without hesitation again in the future. Truly satisfied!

They did the work over the Thanksgiving holiday while we were out of town. My sister gave them access and locked up after them.
They did a great job, first patching the holes and also matching and replacing some boards. They did a really good job of cleaning up after themsilves and containing the dust. Came home to beautiful, perfect floors. Just recommended them to my sister who needs work in her living room/hall. Will definately use them again, when needed.

It was a horrible experiance. Through poor supervision an employee salvaged wood from the wrong room on the wrong floor. The patching was mediocre at best and used tons of wood filler. The floors were sanded poorly. The owner offered to repair the damage to the room they accidentally removed the wood from but based on the quality of work they did I respectfully did not accept and asked for money back. The owner hung up on me. Now he won't return phone calls, emails, or certified letters. I'm about to take him to court for destroying the floor of my dining room. I was very civil throughout the matter and Wayne Manger the owner very unprofessional.

Fast and professional. We removed the old flooring ourselves down to the sub floor. They installed the entire area in one day including all of the shoe molding. Very neat job, especially around door jams.
