Of course I had to find out in the spring of the wettest year on record that our 20 + year-old roof needed to be replaced, plywood sheathing included. I had 5 different companies come out to look at the job and felt like several companies were either trying to rake me over the coals or sell me things I did not need (gutters, attic fan, etc.) Once Steve swung by to take a look at the job and talk over what he thought I needed to have done, I felt like I had found an honest man/company that would not up-sell me things I did not need. He explained that a SmartVent roof system would probably work better for our house and that a maintenance intensive fan was not the best way to go. Because of all the rain, we were delayed in getting out new roof w/the SmartVent system but not much could be done about that. Only one issue arose during the process that Steve took care of with no questions asked. When the supplier dropped our load of plywood at the house during a downpour w/o covering it, the wood turned to mush and got all moldy. When I called Steve he said he would call his supplier and make sure a new load of plywood was dropped the day the crew showed up to do my roof. Right on schedule, the new load arrived and everything went smooth from there. I really hope I don’t encounter any more roof issues, but if I do, I would definitely give Steve my business. Overall, a very responsive and great company to work with.

We had a leak coming from somewhere on our roof and I had several other roofing companies come out to try to find out what was causing the leak and give estimates. The rep from Johnson Roofing said that the flashing from one of the two skylights was leaking and that replacing it would solve the problem. I let them do the job and sure enough, the leak stopped. They did a great job and I watched the two roofers do the work and was very impressed by their professionalism. They knew what they were doing and had the right tools they needed. One well-known roofing company I had called wanted a $450 deposit before they even came out, which I would never do. Would highly recommend Johnson Roofing and will call them again if the flashing on the other skylight ever starts leaking.

I just had to have some repair work done to my home. While the contractors were there, they had occasion to see the roof at close distance. The lead contractor brought the roof to my attention, remarking that whomever did the work did a “horrible job.” He stated that the plywood seems to have never been replaced, among other issues of concern. He sent me pictures, to help explain his concerns. Now, nearly a year after I had my roof replaced, I find out that the work that was done was pretty shoddy. If I had not needed to get the recent unrelated work done to my home, I would have never know about the poor job that was done with my roof. This is more disconcerting because I have been a loyal customer to this company. I contacted the company and am hoping and praying that they will come back out and redo the entire roof. Who knows what may have deteriorated and what was damaged due to their apparent negligence. Now, I question what kind of job they’ve done for me, previously. Very disappointed.

Steve Johnson was quite responsive to all of my questions and saved me literally thousands of dollars on my new roof. His crew was amazingly hard working and attentive to all details. After having met with two larger roofing companies, I am so pleased that I selected a small company with a great reputation, 25+ years of experience, and low staff turnover. Simply put, I got outstanding, personalized service from a company that treats its workers well and takes genuine pride in its work.

The crew replaced the shingles and also offered to trim part of the tree that hit the roof. They also cleaned out the section of gutter that is directly below the same tree... .with no extra charge.

We had used Johnson Roofing company back in 2011 after a tree fell on our upper roof during a hurricane.  They responded quickly, did a fabulous job at a great price.  I had noticed water dripping from 3 unusual areas in my carport and front porch and have been unable to identify the cause of the improper flow.  I called Johnson Roofing based on my experience in 2011 to come look at my issues and ask for a quote.  When they came out for the estimate, they immediately identified the cause of the improper waterflow.  They recommended and ensured they would be able to fix the problem during a re-roofing of the lower section of the house.  The evening before they were supposed to arrive I had to call the company to ask to reschedule for the following week because my wife and I were very sick and didn't really want to cope with a roofing job all day.  They said no problem and promptly rescheduled for the following Monday morning, when the arrived right on time.  After stripping the old shingles off the roof the identified all the causes of the water flow problems, siding nails went through the roofing flashing.  They fixed all of those areas and replaced any rotted plywood as promised.  They were done with everything, including cleanup with 5 hours of starting.

A group of neighbors needed new roofs, and Steve Johnson gave us a group discount.  We had a neighborhood meeting, which Steve attended.  He answered questions and had samples of the colors available for shingles. Each of us chose the color we wanted for shingles, which Steve ordered and then he scheduled installation. <br /> His workers were polite and professional and worked quickly.  They proceeded with one house after another over several weeks and it all went smoothly.  After all of them were installed, the gutters were scheduled for those of us who wanted them. <br /> I was very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them. <br />

<p> Steve & Rose were easy to work with, always called back in a timely manner and did a great job.  Roof replacement can be messy and leave lots of debris in the yard, but they did a great job cleaning up and I found ZERO debris, nails, shingles, etc in the yard after they finished.  On a separate note, we had one issue (not Steve's fault) that needed to be resolved and Steve refused to take payment from me until the issue was resolved to my satisfaction.  I asked several times if he would take at least a partial payment from me while we were waiting on resolution and his answer was "that's just not how I do business, once you are 100% taken care of, we can talk about payment then."  that type of customer service attitude is rare these days, I really appreciated how he handled this situation and his desire to make sure we were 100% satisfied.  </p>

I am very happy with the result of the project. Mr. Johnson is very professional, courteous, and easy to deal with.  The quoted price was very reasonable and he provided me with very good financing.  I was very surprised (pleasantly) that the solar tubes (skylights) installed are much bigger in diameter than I expected. The result was amazing, my house now is well lit. The roofing job was done nicely and the installers were very prompt, professional and job was meticulously done. I will definitely recommend him, in fact, he was highly recommended by one of my friends.

I received quotes from three roofing companies.  Two came in at three or four times the price of Steve's estimate.  Because I new the damage was not that extensive, I went with Steve, and I am glad I did.  He was very courteous, showed up as scheduled, and did an excellent job. Also, his estimate of $367 was also the final price for the work.  I highly recommend Johnson Roofing. <br />

Steve Johnson is a very honest, responsive, and extremely fair businessman.  We were very pleased with the work he did on our roof, I appreciated how he explained his process, and finally we just loved the workmanship of his crew.  He walked us through several different options with the costs and benefits of each, gave me a very fair price, had his crew come out on time, and cleaned up nicely. At no point did he try to sell me anything that was not absolutely needed nor did he pressure us with any incentive or "deal".  He actually encouraged me to keep the siding we have vs. upgrading.  I was prepared to have to replace my siding, but he was very honest with the costs, and the heating/cooling implications of going from aluminum to vinyl.  It's rare to find someone in his business not try to add-on to an existing job <br /> Even though we did have a slight communication problem with the scheduling of the work  Steve adapted his schedule to meet ours, and very graciously handled the situation.  His crew spoke English clearly, was very diligent and efficient, and also explained everything that they were supposed to be doing that day.  Their were no questions about the work.  They knew about the job and were prepared. <br /> Steve had done work in our neighborhood and all of his customers we knew were very happy with the work, the finish, and mostly, his honesty.  So I called, and even before he gave me a great price, I had made up my mind to hire him.  He just carries himself very well, and is very humble and pleasant.  I wish more businessmen handled themselves like Steve. <br /> The roof looks great.  The skylights are bright and clear, the gutters give the house a new look, and the additional metal wrap is going to save us money down the road as we will not need to worry about wood rot or painting the fascia anymore. <br /> Two thumbs up.  Strongly recommend.  <br /> Put him next to any of these other high-pressure knucklehead outfits (that try to strong arm you into a meeting with your spouse) and you will be pleasantly relieved.  He stands out from your typical roofing companies. <br />
