John did another amazing job! Hands down. We have used John 3 separate times just in the last 4 months. In truth, I believe some of these projects may have been delayed except for the fact that we were so pleased with his service that we decided to move forward with completing as much as we could. John has painted our lake house, a commercial business and now a house we are preparing for sale. All of which were done professionally in every sense of the word. <br /> <br /> Each time I contacted John he returned every call promptly. He communicated very well with me and several other parties that were involved to ensure completion. ( People that assisted with locking and unlocking buildings/homes etc) As well, he went out of his way to drive over an hour and a half for one of the 3 jobs (one way) with no additional fees. He was able to start this most current job 2 days earlier than we anticipated which really assisted us with scheduling other contractors. The end result is the same each time. He is spot on accurate with his painting. Ii admit Im quite particular and I haven't been disappointed once. <br /> <br /> You absolutely won't be disappointed with his workmanship, reliability and costs. We are so thrilled to have found a great painter. We were skeptical at first since the gentleman we used in the past retired. We were not sure we would be able to find someone we could count on. However, to our surprise we are thrilled to have found this gem. Thanks John for another great job and for always going out of your way to make each experience smooth and seamless. "Please consider my response to the upper review i wrote involving this matter. i have not refused to refund mr. [Member Name Removed] deposit. i feel like the reason why hes accusing me of not returning he deposit is because i said i would be returning it in payments. ive already sent mr. [Member Name Removed] a payment on his deposit. he was already informed that i wouldnt be starting the job a little later then we discused and agreed to wait. i also was willing to discount the job $500 to make sure he would be happy . i feel like mr. [Member Name Removed] should of told the truth and he hasnt. thank you, john."

He was very friendly and efficient. He also protected the fish in the pond from the chemicals when working close to it. He offered to do other things (at no additional cost) such as blow the leaves from the roof, and even carrying in a very large bag of dog food. He was very courteous and polite. I would definitely hire him again. <br />

John was very easy to work with and communicated well. We wanted a particular cleaning products used and he used them. It was easy to schedule the work and they came/left when they said that they would. The decks were all painted with rollers and brushes. The underside of the decks were sprayed - all techniques were done with care and everything was cleaned up when they left. They protected everything that wasn't supposed to be painted. We were happy with the entire process and it looks beautiful. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. <br />

John did an excellent job. He took pictures of each room before he painted. He then removed curtain rods pictures and moved all the furniture as needed to paint. Once he was done he used all the pictures he had taken to put everything back exactly if not better than he found it. I didnt have to remove anything or put anything back. I was very impressed and the painting job was exceptional. John also picked up all the paint once I gave him the paint colors. We are definitely using him again. We are very pleased and happy to have found him. You wont be disappointed <br />

<p>We contacted John for an estimate on painting the house - he came on the same day. John was very friendly, professional and gave us a good estimate. We set the date for painting for early to mid-July. However, John called us on the 15th of June and said he could do the job that week. We had no problem with that; glad to get it done earlier.</p> <br /> He did an excellent job for us in a timely manner and we would definitely have him back for anything else we need and highly recommend him. <br />

John gave us an accurate written estimate and did the work in a timely and professional manner. His work is excellent...he takes pride in a job well done and definitely provides a well done job! He is pleasant to be around and seems to really enjoy his work. He completely transformed our home from a gloomy 1960's ranch to an up to date stylish ranch! We have used John before to do some interior painting for our business and his work was equally as well done. He is neat and cleans up when he finishes each day. I will definitely will use him again for all my painting needs. <br />

This was the second time we have used John's Custom House Painting for a painting project and the second time we were very pleased with John's work. He arrived at his stated time and did an excellent job painting our ceiling. The ceiling is 9 1/2 feet high and is covered in 1 foot square celotex instead of sheetrock which means lots of grooves and edges to paint. There was one large and a smaller water stain from leaks in the roofing. John was able to completely cover these and the ceiling looks great! John was very careful to cover the floor and furniture and did not get paint on anything. I appreciate his talent and professionalism. Would hire him again for more painting projects in the future. <br />

I found John's Custom House Painting on Angie's List and read his and other painting contractor's reviews. I called John and he was able to come that afternoon and provide a price quote with a detailed explanation of what he would do. I obtained another quote and tried to get another, but the third contact never showed. I chose John's Custom House Painting partly because of price, partly because of the reviews, and partly because of my first impression of John and his courteousness and professionalism. I could have not been more pleased with choosing him for painting our house. <br /> We live in an early 1930's farmhouse that is about 1300 square feet with 9 1/2 foot ceilings. I had intended on painting the house myself with the help of family and had scraped a fair portion of the lower part of the house. (It took me a year and a half to do just this much.) I cannot climb ladders anymore and decided to hire someone to complete the task. John was booked about a month out and with a few weather delays, he could not start when he was scheduled to. However, John communicated with me often and kept me posted on his progress. When John did start, he came and thoroughly pressure washed the house in a mold and mildewcide and let the house dry for a few days. It took him 3 days to scrape, prime and paint the entire exterior including a large front porch. He kept everything covered as appropriate for protection from overspray. He was very neat and cleaned up every day before leaving. <br /> We could not be more pleased with his work and the house looks great! Before John left, I asked him for a quote for painting a water stained ceiling and will definitely hire him for this job as well. <br />

<p>It was really nice to work with a contractor who immediately returned your phone calls and showed up when he said he would. John started the job on the date he indicated he would and finished pretty much on schedule except for a few weather related days. Cleaning was of particular concern to us because of the potential for overspray into the pool and surrounding landscaping. John was very careful and there were no issues at all. He did a quality job and the paint job looks terrific. He's a nice guy and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others</p> <br />

We did not plan to be at the lake for a month and agreed that there was no rush except that it be done by the end of July. That was done as agreed and the project finished early. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />He and his crew did a good job and were very detail oriented. There were no touch ups required. I did ask for a 3rd coat on the garage doors as they had direct evening sun, he gladly agreed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />He also did the screened porches and had access to the interior of the house. No mess left after each day and the results, when complete, were GREAT. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />One of the most noticeable things about John is the constant communication and very good responsiveness, even returned calls late at night (I called him from overseas at one point.) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The colors we chose were perfectly matched and the stain and paint was of the highest quality. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We would certainly use him again and he performed above the level he agreed to in all areas. <br />

It went very well, John and Don showed up right on time, they got right to work. They painted all of the ceiling and all the room but one. They were there 4 days. They always covered everthing and always cleaned up after. They are both really nice guy's to know. <br />

John was punctual, professional and completed the job when promised. He completely cleaned up after himself and actually wore and quot;booties' while painting to keep the floor clean. He has an engaging personality and did an excellent job completing the work that was set out in our contract at a fair price. When he came back to take pictures for his portfolio he noticed some places that, when dry, did not meet his standards. He is adding another coat to those walls at no labor expense. The paint job itself looks great and John takes pride in his work and was honest in his dealings with us. I would definitely recommend John to others. <br />

John met with us to discuss what we needed done and gave us an estimate at that time. We set a start date and he came promptly at the agreed upon time. He sprayed all the siding, trim and shutters with a Clorox mixture, then rinsed it all thoroughly. He scraped the old and loose paint where necessary. He finished the entire house in a few days. We were very pleased with the results. He was always pleasant and friendly while also being very professional. We are planning to have him come back soon to paint the interior of the house. <br />
