UPDATE: Amazing how this wonderful review has turned to wishing I never left it or could give them 0 stars. The initial sale was amazing (should’ve known it wouldn’t last). We spent 30k on a brand new unit. 1.5 year later and we find ourselves on day 8 without an AC, now being told it may be another week “and if we don’t hear back from them by Friday, for US to call them again”. Do not be tricked by their initial caring demeanor. It obviously doesn’t seem to last. I have health issues, we have 2 senior dogs and are in Texas. It’s been pushing 90 degrees in our home and they can’t provide a solution to a ‘Cadillac of units’ that THEY recommended and we fell for. I am at a loss. Jon Wayne is the company that installed the unit, now they’re saying the unit ‘is grounded’ and ‘is like a heart that stopped beating’. Crazy that it’s supposed to be a top of the line unit that they compare to a Cadillac for the AC world, yet it stopped functioning after a year. Do yourself a favor and get other options and opinions before trusting them on something as important as cool air in your home. I can’t believe we are dealing with this. Now we’re 30k in, an additional 1k for their ‘warranty’ and still without a working AC. WOW.

We had a wonderful experience, as usual with Jon Wayne’s service. Several days ago a technician, Chris, came out and diagnosed a problem and had to order a part and just returned and replaced the inoperable part. Chris made an adjustment initially so we could still us our water heater until the new part was installed. We have been using Jon Wayne for 10 years and never been displeased with their service.

I purchased a dual zone mini split system in August of 2021. The system was not cooling as expected so we thought the system was insufficient. The next summer in August the system still did not cool well and eventually shut off and would not come on. We called for service. They said it was a refrigerant leak. They said the leak was repaired and was covered by thewarranty. The units were not used in 2023 because we did not live there for the summer. In April of 2024, the system was tested under a home inspection because we decided to sell the home. The unit still leaks refrigerant and has not worked as intended since the initial installation. Jon Wayne refuses to determine the cause of leak or make a repair without charging a substantial ($1500) leak detection. My issue is I have over $13000 invested between the unit, install labor and protection plan and Jon Wayne installed a faulty unit or has poor workmanship and I have not had a properly functioning system since the outset. I would like the repair to be made without further expense incurred considering it has not been operating properly since the install, and the unit has maybe 6 months of use because it does not work properly. I would like a refund, a repair, or a replacement. At each request the quoted charges have gone up and they blame their inability to repair because they need to isolate leak. Its leaked from the beginning and they lied about the repair. Now they just want me continue to pay them more money just to get it to work claiming the repair is not free. Joey, the Maintenance Tech, and his apprentice arrived on time and were very professional and personable. They provided a summary of the services that were to be performed and got to work. Throughout, I was updated with their progress and their findings. This annual plumbing and HVAC assessment was completed without issue and was thorough.

All well done as usual…have used them for almost 10 years—always satisfied.

Going with Jon Wayne Service Company 5 years ago has been the best money we’ve ever spent. Literally never have to worry about our HVAC system and once a year if anything is “out of tolerance “ it gets replaced under warranty. You can definitely go cheaper with another company but the peace of mind is worth the extra money.

I was totally satisfied and impressed with the Annual Maintenance tune-up of our HVAC system. Their technician, Mr. Javier Vasquez exemplified the highest standard in customer service and professionalism. He made us aware his main task was to complete the annual HVAC system service, but offered, up front, to let us take him around to other areas of our home and show him any other concerns we might have, i.e., electrical, plumbing, etc. We took him around and he made notes of our concerns, explaining that he would notate those on the invoice so that we and they had record of it, and, when we were ready, we could call them for needed services, at our convenience. And, to top it off, Mr. Vasquez took time to help me reboot my Smart Home Ap. My hat's off to Mr. Javier Vasquez and to the Jon Wayne Team.

Charged my elderly,invalid parents nearly 20000 for a new central unit which a 9000down payment was given. The old unit needed replaced, also Jon Wayne. They hadn't come in almost 2 years for routine service check which was previously yearl,, sometimes twice a year. Very expensive unit put in which iss one third the size of the one being replaced. Not even a month old and has broken. Would not cool for last few days then stopped. Service man said multiple different reasons and they would have to order a coil and some other things. What company does not stock the parts for the new systems they are selling. Then had the nerve to ay we might want to get a hotel/motel or buy some window units in thee meantime. He then brought a crappy beat up widow unit for the living room, probably because he knew we were pretty p***** off. It is cooler outside than inside even with the provided tiny beat up window unit. Both of my parents and my wife could die in these conditions. 100% terrible service

Geraldo ( Jerry) was super knowledgeable and dedicated. He stuck to the job and ensured all was in order in his calibration of the A/C. It is techs like Jerry that give the Jon Wayne Company a good reputation. Don Rackler, sir, please shake Jerry’s hand and thank him personally, and if from his continued excellence, give him a bonus. Terrible.

So professional and knowledgeable. They replaced my AC 2 years ago and since I have a maintenance plan with them my service calls are free and they replace my filter and uv bulb yearly.

David was very professional and did not pressure us. Asked if he could give us information on his inspection of our electrical wiring, which we really appreciated he was doing as we have never had any other electrician offer to do an inspection. Our home was built in 1969 so we knew we might need a few things updated but learned of the dangers of aluminum wiring if yearly maintenance isn’t kept up- which had not been done since moving in 1979! We promptly got an appointment for the same week. So thankful for David and team.

Service went well. But when tech slammed my attic door closed the hinge broke and drywall cracked and pieces fell on the floor. Then the tech looked right at me and said he didn’t do that.

Chris and Ben were very professional and did an outstanding job on teaching me how to clean my filters- I had no idea how to - but my mini AC in master bedroom was not functioning very good and was dripping water - they pulled the filters out and I was shocked on how dirty! These two guys were very knowledgeable- I appreciate the service and also the training for me- I asked to please show me! Thank you

Guadalupe Nunez-Gaona went above and beyond the knowledge of my a/c system he is very thorough and educated me on all the defects in the system. I can always count on him to be honest I recommend him anytime. Jon Wayne services is the best in south Texas!
