Window A/C Unit Installation
On 4/26 contractor was to remove existing thru the wall air conditioner and replace with new one. Existing air was removed. New unit was to either be replaced in existing wall unit sleeve, new sleeve inserted into existing sleeve or remove old sleeve and insert thru the wall with new sleeve. A sleeve protects the exterior of the air conditioner. Contractor used old sleeve to mount air conditioner and did not install rear louver vent panel which protects the air conditioner electrical components or protect unit from insect infestation such as bees or wasps. Contacted contractor to reinstall new unit using new sleeve in conjunction with old sleeve or remove old sleeve completely. Made appointment with contractor to come to my house and correct the issue, Never showed., Subsequent multiple phone call and text messages to contractor's cell number go to voice mail - mailbox full. The quoted price for this project was a flat fee of $200, however payment was for $250 which included payment for an unrelated minor side job that the contractor performed for me
