The stamped concrete patio Joseph Concrete created is riddled with issues, including numerous faint and altogether missing stamped impressions, structural cracking, widespread surface cracking, numerous dings and marks, many patches of very visible trowel marks, several very obvious footprint impressions, and other issues. Additionally, much of the patio is sloped in the wrong direction, resulting in standing water at the base of steps leading down to the patio and several significant drop-offs and humps. With all of these issues, the patio will have to be removed and redone. When the issues were brought to Joseph's attention, he initially offered to refund the money we'd paid so far (with no offer to remove the defective patio or reimburse the cost of removal). A little later, he informed us his wife would be coming to look at the work. After briefly glancing at the work, his wife told us she'd have a person who could fix the problems come out. The day before this person was due to come out, we emailed Joseph asking for an arrival time, with no response. There was also no response to a subsequent email and a phone message. No one ever showed up. In the interim, the check we'd given them after the forms were set was cashed. We hadn’t stopped payment on this check once the issues occurred because we thought Joseph Concrete was making a good faith effort to resolve the issues. Turns out we were suckers who gave them the time needed to cash the check without making any attempt to make things right. We received no response to a subsequent email and certified letter, both again informing Joseph Concrete of the specific defects and asking for a refund, and we subsequently filed a lawsuit in King County Superior Court, which is still ongoing. The insurance co. who issued Joseph Concrete's contractor bond found enough merit in our claim that they've paid us the full amount of the bond, but to-date Joseph Concrete has not reimbursed us for the amount in excess the bond amount.

I could not be more pleased with Joseph and the work he performed. I needed an existing patio to be replaced due to tree roots which impacted drainage towards the house foundation. After 5 bids, I decided to go with Joseph due to his competitive bid and demonstrated expertise. He and his team were stellar, solid communication, friendly, and took the time to explain to me the leveling/answering all my questions. In 3 short days the project was completed and it looks great. I would highly recommend Joseph to anyone looking for concrete work.

Joseph and his crew were delightful and professional to work with. I wanted a stamped concrete driveway and Joseph took time to throughly explained to me the color and seal options. They came in leveled and graded my drive hauled away some dirt and broken concrete set the forms and finished the site prep all in one day They returned a day later poured and finished my 73 foot long 15 foot wide driveway on one day. They returned a day later to clean up, remove forms and apply the sealer. Upon their departure they left behind nothing but a beautiful Roman slate textured driveway! In the end I could not be happier! My driveway looks great and literally sparkles as if it was natural slate! Just as Joseph promised! You won't be disappointed!

The job we hired for went very well. I reviewed some of their previous work online and called for a quote. Joseph met with me for a walkthrough and we negotiated a fair deal for the work identified. After I signed a contract, they began work immediately. Their office kept me informed of their progress and always let me know days in advance of the next phases of our job. When the work was complete, I wrote the final check and Joseph and I walked through the job. The work was completed exactly how we wanted and I highly recommend Joseph’s concrete specialist.

I needed an old driveway demolished and a new one (5") poured on a sloping property. He installed drains and was able to contour the surface for optimal parking angle. The whole project took three days as Joseph had promised. So far I'm pretty happy with the project.

After we arrived at the plans, they did need some revision along the way which Joseph took care of. At every point that there was a question, he did not just "wing it" but came and found me to get the answer he needed. The people working for him cleaned up nicely afterwards and left no mess that I needed to clean myself. It was a very good experience.

Joseph is a great guy, hard worker and takes pride in his work. We pulled out all of the grass in our backyard and laid concrete down to extend our existing patio. Joseph showed up on time everyday, did what we agreed to do. No complaints and i would recommend him.
