We were looking to install a half circular driveway and did our research by looking at reviews from several companies. We found J Perry Paving had the most satisfied customers so we requested an estimate. They came to the property and gave us a quote. We were very satisfied with the amount and scheduled that day to have the work done. They showed up on time and were very professional. We have received so many compliments and when neighbors asked who did it and we told them they all said they knew someone who had work done by Joe and said they are the best. We agree with them. We plan on having the sealcoating done in the summer. Great job and very nice to work with.

Joe Perry may look like a seriously tough guy on first glance, but make no mistake, he's really just a big teddybear! He taught my 5 year-old how to drive a steamroller! We were saddened to learn that he doesn't offer babysitting services. On a more serious note, Joe and his crew impressed me by correcting a flaw that was identified in their work product in a professional and reasonable way. The final product is perfect, and I don't hesitate at all to recommend to Joe to friends and family.

Terrific. Pavers are very hard to get. Our first choice wasn't going to be available until 2021. Pat our salesperson helped us find an alternative that we liked even more. Pat also helped us redesign the driveway and the paver installation at the two entrances to our home. Our trust in his concepts was well deserved. The project turned out better than we had hoped for. Joe did a very good job managing the construction - clearly knows his business: and the workers were top notch, friendly, accommodating and patient with our demands and change requests. We are picky customers and they worked with us to get the end result we were looking for. They also did a good job cleaning up after the work was completed.

Patrick the estimator is very thorough. Colleen the receptionist is wonderful to work with. Joe (Father and Son) were a pleasure to work with on day of installation. Everyone was professional and did an excellent job. We are beyond pleased with our new designed asphalt driveway.

Installed new driveway and added decorative cobblestone to the front of home and sides of driveway. Crew was great; job took 1.5 days to complete. They were prompt, and worked hard throughout the day. We get so many compliments from the work J Perry Paving did and will definitely use again! <br />

I contacted J Perry in November 2014 to get an estimate.  Marshall, a very nice older man, came out and measured and gave got the estimate for the job which was $3852.  We decided to do the job in the spring.  I called in April, signed a contract with Joe Perry on April 20, and gave a 50 % deposit on the job, which is what they require.  I was surprised that they would not be available until early June, but because they had good ratings on Angie's List, I was willing to wait.   <br /> They were right on schedule when they estimated they would be able to do the job, and came on June 12.  Though I was not home, when they arrived, my adult son told me they showed up around 10:30 with a crew of 4-5 men.  It was a hot, sunny day, but they worked very hard with a variety of trucks and heavy machinery to dig out the old driveway and concrete apron, and put down the new layers of asphalt.   The work crew was very diligent and hard working and they were at my house until about 7:30 pm.  The driveway turned out great and I was very pleased with the work.  I was also very impressed with the finishing touches they did, grading the soil bordering the edge of the driveway by hand with a rake, and cleaning up thoroughly on the street, sweeping up dirt and asphalt debris and using blowers to blow the dust away.   <br /> When the job was all done, Joe Perry explained a few things about future seal coating, and took the final payment for the job, which I paid by personal check.   <br /> If I had to give a grade to the total job, it would be an A-.  There are only two minor things that in hindsight would have moved their grade to a solid A or A+.  One of the sprinkler heads in the grass right next to the driveway they installed was left a bit high, and had I not intervened would have probably been damaged or sheared off by a lawnmower.  I was able to lower the sprinkler head afterwards when I put some sod in next to the driveway, so that was not a big deal.  The other minor concern was that they had to take apart part of a low retaining wall next to the driveway to remove a section of the concrete apron with their machines.  When they put the wall back, it was a little crooked, and they left a scrape on the edge of the top finished stone.  They also did not re-glue the top stones with adhesive  to the cinder blocks.  I was able to adjust the stones so it looks better, but the top stones are still not glued down.  This is a minor issue, but I thought it worth mentioning to be thorough.    <br /> Overall, however, I was very happy with the quality of the job, and I would enthusiastically recommend J Perry to anyone who needs a new driveway or other similar paving jobs. <br />

<strong>A QUICK NOTE:<br /> Removing old cement and applying asphalt is VERY noisy, messy, and disruptive. There are lots of heavy equipent including 3-4 very large trucks that come to your property. I did not know the cost or time it would take. I started my search for the right contractor for this project. I spoke with 5 asphalt contracting companies and had onsite estimates with 3 of them. Some were from Angie's List and others were from another source. I found this process very frustrating with no shows, changes of schedules, and tardiness by the contractors. Some were just not professional on the phone. At some point, I was asking myself, "why are contractors so flaky?" <br /> I came across J. Perry Paving. I spoke to Colleen to set up an onsite estimate. My first experience was that she returned my calls! She was professional and informative. In scheduling the onsite estimate, we could not make our schedules work. So they sent someone during my absense, reviewed the driveway and left a written estimate in my mailbox. I followed up with Joe 2 <br /> weeks later who met me at the site. He arrived on time. He was professional, and informative. I gave them a deposit and scheduled the work. It was their peak season so they scheduled it 4 weeks away. But, I was surprised to here from Colleen that they would be able to move the date sooner. <br />

J. Perry did a fantastic job! We hired them to basically give our entire yard a makeover. We just bought the home, and our yard was strewn with construction debris (glass, nails, screws, etc.). Much of the yard was dirt, and it wasn't level. J. Perry ripped everything up and laid new grass seed. They also installed a few sprinklers and set up a timer for us so that the yard is watered twice a day. The yard already looks fantastic, and we expect to see grass growing in the next few weeks. They did a wonderful job laying mulch around our the tree and bush in our front yard as well. <br /> Before J. Perry replaced our driveway, we only had space for one car. The entire side of our home wasn't graded properly, so we'd get huge pools of water there. The driveway now runs along the side of our home and is properly graded away from the house! We can easily fix 6 cars in it. <br /> We hired J. Perry for several reasons. First, I felt that Joe Perry was very knowledgeable. He suggested that we install the two window wells and push water away from the home. During the installation, I'm pretty sure they were out there with levels to make things so precise! They raked and re-raked the stones before laying the asphalt. Second, we wanted a driveway with some creative flair to it. J. Perry was able to install pavers at the end of our driveway to give nice curb appeal. Third, they were able to do the landscaping as well as the driveway - we only had to hire one company not two. <br /> From the moment they showed up to the moment they finished the job, the men on this project were incredible. They worked so hard and were concentrating so much! One of them told me that he is very passionate about his job and wants it to be right. I could tell that they really wanted to make our home a work of art. I was also impressed by the conclusion of the project. They cleaned up every inch of debris. They even put all of their empty water bottles and garbage in our bins. It looked spotless. <br /> Do yourself a favor and hire J. Perry. They know how to do the job right, and your money will be well spent. <br /> <br /> <br />

There was a lot of jackhammering of the old driveway which was very thick in spots. All work was done in one day and they cleaned up after themselves. I'm really happy with the results. J Perry did a great job.

J Perry Paving was the second quote we received and the one we ultimately went with. We are happy with the price, manner in which they worked to install the driveway, and end result. <br /> Minor issues were a drain that went under the driveway that was apparently broken. We didn’t find out about this until after the driveway was installed and the drain was plugged, so that was unfortunate. <br /> I would also add that getting in touch with them after the quote was challenging. If you don’t mind following up more than necessary, then the rest is easy. We had to keep checking in when we would not hear back on the date they promised a follow up call. <br /> As mentioned, we did have them back to seal the driveway and that work was also performed in a professional / quick manner, although the follow up issues were the same. <br />

The men came on time and wasted no time preparing the site for the new material. The job was clean and carefully done. <br />

Went with a mid priced quote, liked the people in J.Perry Paving. They came promptly and ripped out the old driveway quick. Miscommunication between the guy who quoted me and the guy doing the job caused me to spend a little more money expanding the driveway. But happy with the final product. Only took 1 day and my driveway looks wonderful! Cut into the street very well. No problems over this (very mild) winter.

JPerry Paving promised me a new driveway that I would love, and they delivered on their promise. The quote from Joe Perry was a few hundred dollars high, but we negotiated a deal that worked for me. Joe originally estimated 3 to 4 days to complete the project as the driveway needed to be completely replaced and it is very long and wide (it's a small street). Prior to the start of the project, Joe decided to double the team and machinery at no additional cost and completed the project in less than two days. All of the old material was carted away, 110 tons of gravel and two layers of asphalt, more than 90 tons, were laid. One year later, the driveway still looks terrific! A family member of mine recently mentioned how smooth the ride is on my driveway and complimented the work. I would recommend Joe and his team to anyone looking for driveway work - simply stated they are excellent!

This is a father-son operation. My initial call was answered promptly. Within a couple of days of my initial call, Joe (the son)came to my home and gave me a proposal for the work. They then came and did the work three days later. I was happy with the job they did, and I felt that their price was reasonable. It took most of one day to do the work, and the job involved using a Bobcat to move a lot of earth around and bringing in a truckload of crushed stone. My one criticism was their unpolished, unprofessional style when it came to interacting with the customer (me). They did hand-written contracts, were failures to call as promised, and had a scruffy appearance.
