J P Interiors is a high quality interior and exterior painting and finishing contractor that specializes in residential and commercial interiors. We began in 1995 serving downtown Brooklyn's historic brownstone communities. Growing from a one man painting crew to training and managing small to medium sized painting crews was one of the many challenges we have met over the years. One of our strengths and values is providing design and color advice in addition to running a highly organized and professional painting service. John is amazing! I have been working with him for years and he and his team always do a professional quality job. JP Interiors just painted our entire apartment uncluding a full wall of bookcases. He has done a beautuful job and offers great color advice. He is super responsive and flexible. I highly recommend JP Interiors. He is a delight to work with.

John Parker from JP Interiors purposely uses deceiving contractual tactics. If you find yourself obliged to use his service, make sure that he very explicitly writes in his contract a detailed description of every square inches that you expect to be painted, including amount of coats. You may also want your attorney to review that contract to uncover possible loopholes. If you don’t do it, you’ll end up like me with just 70% of the agreed job done.

"A plainly written proposal was provided months in advance for requested scope of work. It outlined clearly the whole apartment was NOT being painted. At the start of the job this was gone over again in person. When he asked why the doors weren’t painted at the end of the job, he said quote ..“cause I guess they weren’t included in the contract”. To which I responded , yes that’s correct. He then paid me 100 percent for the 100 percent complete work plus an extra 100 dollars for 3 closets which were were not included in our agreement but he added on at the last minute. The day after he paid me he complained to his wife who complained to the realtor. I then called his wife to listen to the complaints of the doors not being painted (she’s a lawyer by the way). She apologized for her husband’s rude behavior and that he was under a lot of stress at work and with the move. She also indicated that he may not have understood me as English was his second language. Maybe it was that and the masks? But I offered her and him a week ago a few hours of free touch up painting service anytime they needed it. I apologized for any misunderstanding or lack of clarity despite my best efforts, and she thanked me and said it wouldn’t be necessary that this was only a rental and the doors looked fine. I checked back with the realtor that recommended me and she said that I went above and beyond. I take a lot of pride in my work and seriousness with how people feel they are treated. It has always been our goal to provide an honest and transparent approach to a basic service business in this community for all these years. I hope they come back to us and see fit to use our services again. We hate to see people not smiling at the end of our jobs."

The work done was excellent. JPInteriors brought two very highly skilled workmen (I would call them craftsmen, really), who were very thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient in completing the work. John took the extra step and time to match the paint finish, as I only had the paint number from my previous renovation. I would highly recommend JPInteriors for any kind of delicate interior paint/re-plastering/drywall job.

The work was done very well. They also reinstalled a curtain rod which had been on the wall. They even came back on the day garbage was collected to bring the bags to the curb.

Excellent job. You cant see that there was ever anything wrong. The sheet rock had been cracked and messed up by the water. They have done work for me before.

I hired JP for some last minute painting of our bathroom. He promptly called me directly to talk through the project and pricing and was able to give me some guidance on how best to approach the project. He and his team were courteous, prompt, and did a great job with less than 48 hours between initial phone call and the work being complete. I for sure would hire them again!

John and his employees did a great job repairing damage from leaks to our ceiling and re-painting. In fact, they did such a good job, we hired them to fix damage from a second leak. John was responsive, even though our jobs were small, affordable, and good quality. We would definitely recommend using JP Interiors!

It went perfectly. They were both fastidious, hard working and very competent. I like color, so while all the trim was white, the hallway ceiling was one color, the wall between the picture rail and the chair rail was a second, and between the chair rail and the baseboard was a third. Everything was primed, sanded and the walls were finished with a 4" brush. They also painted the ugly tan frames of the window sash white. The cutting-in is all perfect, everything is perfect.

It went really well. John and his team are fastidious and very professional. No detail is too small. John takes pride in the work he does and treats each job with great care. We had a large project that expanded even more during the work, and John worked with me to meet deadlines and deliver the best quality job. I felt comfortable with his team in my house- they were prompt and cleaned up each day in a very tidy way. I will definitely be calling John again for future projects.

John and his team were great. He came and did an accurate evaluation, and then his crew was fast, efficient and flexible in getting the work done. They fit us in during evenings and weekends, and quickly fixed one minor miscommunication. They didn't disrupt our neighbors and left no mess when they were finished.

The work was accomplished carefully and professionally. Door surfaces with molding and enamel paint were sanded first -- at painter's initiative. The men worked all day and cleaned up daily. They showed up daily until the job was finished. My job was a bit complicated because of the different paints and colors. There was no problem and everything was done correctly. I would hire again. They are not the cheapest but it was well worth the cost. After all, you do get what you pay for.

John Parker is the consummate professional, and is such a delight to work with. He clearly loves design and appreciates the power of paint to transform a room. We were working with Farrow & Ball paints, which he has a lot of experience with, so he helped guide us on finishes as well as ceiling colors. John has an excellent team -- very detail oriented, fastidious, incredibly considerate and respectful of your space. He's on site every day and responds immediately to any inquiry. John also made a point to check in a few weeks after the project to make sure we were happy with it and he includes a 12-month touch up in his pricing; it's this kind of thoughtfulness that sets him apart from anyone else we've worked with.

John loves paint, and will happily talk with you about what makes one paint great and another inferior. He and his team did an exceptional job on a very tight timeline. John was extremely thorough in assessing the project, its potential challenges, and what details were important to us. We were living in our apt during the project, and John's team was very considerate about keeping the space tidy and doing everything possible to keep the plaster dust to a minimum. John came by regularly to check the work and was prompt and clear with all communications. We are thrilled with the painting -- they did a beautiful job. And to give you a sense of John's attention to detail, he went out of his way to find brass screws to match our window hardware. We will definitely work with JP Interiors again.
