J&S A-Z Contracting

The two men, Shawn Woodcock and Justin Dolly, came to our house a few times to discuss what we wanted, how the work would be done and to take measurements of the kitchen. On June 7th, we wrote the check to them as a down payment to cover the cost of the materials. We met with them at Lowe's in Herkimer, NY on June 20th to meet with a design person. They said that it would take at least six weeks for the materials to arrive. Due to a planned trip out of town at the beginning of August, we asked them to put it off for a week. We expected them on Monday, August 14th, but no one showed. Shawn did not answer his phone. Justin responded to a text that Shawn was out of town due to a health issue with this daughter, and perhaps they would begin the following Monday, August 21st. They did not show on the 21st, and were unavailable by phone or text. They have our money and we have nothing but a piece of paper. If they would show up and do the work we contracted for within the next six weeks, we would be satisfied. If not, we want our money $18,500 down payment refunded.

They were very professional. The job was done a day before scheduled end date. The work was great. Everything that I wanted done was done. I didn't need to watch over them to make sure the work was complete. I would definitely trust them to do future work.

It went great. Not only the remodel itself, but my disabled husband was able to manoever quite easily with the new grab bars, both in the tub and in the bathroom. He was able to get in and out of the tub much more safely and easily than previously. Pretty great!

Great It was done on time as quoted. No surprises I would hire J &S again. I look forward to hiring Jason for some other projects in the near future.
