Wow, great communication, straight talk, thorough and knowledgeable. We consulted with Jeff (JS Construction) because we’re selling our home and had questions—"what-ifs"—about the handling of the floor in our bathroom, which has some water damage under the floor. We've been putting off dealing with it because it's difficult to get an honest answer as to the ways to deal with all the sight-unseen unknowns involved. But Jeff really knows his stuff and doesn't B.S. us the way some contractors do with bids that go beyond the necessary scope of the project, and don't take certain variables into account because they want the job at any cost. But Jeff gave his honest opinion, and very professionally laid out the options and ways to deal with the issue and potential outcomes, as well as "best case-to-worst case" scenarios and cost range. He helped us conclude that it would be best, and more practical, for the future owners to handle it on their own terms. That level of selflessness and honesty is hard to come by these days. Jeff responded promptly to my inquiry and quickly came out to see the area I needed repaired. He was honest enough to advise against initiating a project of unknown extent as I was about to put the house on the market. Jeff was also kind enough to submit an estimate although he knew it was unlikely I would go through with the work. I really appreciate Jeff’s transparency about the work’s possible consequences and the generosity he showed in offering his professional guidance.
