Very pleased with the deck repair. Professional and courteous crew. Arrived on time. Completed the job in a timely manner. Cost was very reasonable. Currently repairing our bathroom ceiling. Unfortunately had a roof leak, now JT Construction is repairing the ceiling. Again, charges are reasonable. Would hire JT Construction for any future repairs or projects.

I contracted for a rear porch rebuild and JT and crew did an awesome job! I was grateful that JT was on site to answer any questions the city inspector had about the rebuild. I was also grateful for the clean-up each day. Thank you!

We decided to remove the old deck in our back yard and build a new larger one with a pergola. Jim did a great job from start to end. Before starting, he helped us deciding the material by providing quotes using cedar and composite. We decided to use cedar for both deck and pergola, and we love how it came out. Jim was very responsive during the design phase. So, we could finalize the design and start construction. At that point we had a tight schedule because of guests visiting during summer. Jim and his team worked hard and managed to be within schedule. The work was done very carefully, with great attention to details and we are very pleased by the outcome.

Your team is so talented and professional, every detail was covered. Also very respectful of our property, leaving our yard and driveway clean throughout the day and at the end of the work day. Slow and carefully in the midst of COVID. Workers were tidy and polite. Small issues. Hardware used to hang one cabinet was left poking through into the dining room. Lighting installed beneath cabinets failed after 9 months.

James Taccola came in with 2 assistants at 8:30am. Worked efficiently for several hours while giving me occasional updates and checking that everything was to my liking. Finished the job, cleaned up, showed me the finish, and I'm a happy homeowner at 2:30pm.

The job went well. The lines of communication were very good. They completed the job on schedule. The worker kept the working area clean. I was pleased with the finished product.

We had a handful of random issues around the house we needed to correct before putting in on the market. Jim and his crew were very easy to work with and worked hard to fit us into their schedule to get our house prepped for market! Their work was excellent and communication was a breeze. Would certainly hire again!

Excellent job repairing our deck! The job was to power wash, replace boards as needed, and paint. The power wash and replacement of boards was well done. Two coats of paint were applied well. Our unhappiness stems from the finished project's paint not looking at all like the paint chip. We get that the actual paint job won't be a perfect match to the chip, but this was way off and way too light. We noticed as they were going into the second coat and said that it didn't look right. Even after it dried, the color was very much too light. I wish they'd had enough knowledge (?) to advise us of this before they got the paint. They kind of shrugged off our complaint because "this is the shade you ordered." We paid in full for the work they did. Then went to Menard's and found a darker shade of the same paint line that we applied ourselves. The deck looks great now.

We had a full bathroom gutted to the studs and redone entirely. Best things I appreciated about the experience was 1) The proposal was incredibly detailed and procedural, which is something our other candidates did not provide, 2) Jim, John and Jose showed up every weekday, consistently and timely, and took the necessary and thoughtful steps to protect the rest of the house, 3) The work was performed carefully with good attention to detail, 4) While there were unexpected circumstances during the remodel that resulted in slightly more work and money than originally proposed, all of it was fairly priced and necessary for what we wanted, 5) Jim was receptive in discussing different options and really made an effort to figure out solutions that would be best for function and aesthetics. I also appreciated that Jim was conscious to proactively communicate timing and schedules. Overall, happy with the experience and the team's efforts and would use them again on future projects.

Very good. Jim gave us a quote and told us the extent of the work his crew would have to do. He also advised us up front that until they opened up the drywall, they could not be 100% sure there would not be more than the initial estimate. There was a little, but he did not try to gouge us and it was a fair price. His guys did a great job, and they left is as clean as they could. He also repaired some issues we found behind our wall that were not part of the initial problems. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing this type of work.

I have been in construction for nearly 50 years, so I have developed a keen eye for quality craftsmanship. Our project was no small project, so there was a genuine concern that the right company be hired to do our project. After reading J T General Contracting's reviews, I reached out to Jim for an estimate. Again, as I stated earlier, I have been involved in construction for nearly 50 years, so when a contractor shows up for an estimate when he stated that he would, that is a good first step. In talking with Jim about our project, it didn't take long for me to realize that he knows what he is talking about and how our project should be approach. After interviewing two other contractors, it was a no brainer to go with J T General Contractors. Our project just completed today, and I can state that from the demolition of our existing deck, to the layout and installation of piers, Posts, Joists, Trex Composite Deck (with stairs and raised platform for the Spa) and composite Railings, I could not find one flaw in his workmanship. Jim takes a great deal of pride in the work that he is installing and demands that from his employees as well. Secondly, Jim has excellent communication skills, not only in responding to phone calls or text messages, but explaining what he will be doing each step of the way. I would have no problem referring J T General Contracting to family and friends and will be using Jim for our future projects.

Jim and his crew did a FANTASTIC job of completely remodeling my two kitchens and bathrooms in my two flat building.These projects included beautiful new cabinets and counter tops ,lighting,electrical outlets,plumbing and flooring. These were complete remodels and they are beautiful and functional. The work was completed on time as scheduled at a fair price. Jim has done many other jobs for me throughout the years including all new windows and all of his work has been excellent grade A work. I would highly recommend him for all your remodeling needs.

Jim replied to all messages in a short time, and did an excellent job when we hired him. Finding the door we were looking for was very difficult. Jim contacted many vendors and showed us several options until he found a door very similar to what we were looking for. He did a very good job covering the area around the sitting room and cleaning after work was done. The result was excellent. We are very pleased and we will look for Jim for next remodeling.

Jim was friendly and very professional. First we didn’t have a clear idea of what to do with our old deck within limited budget. He advised us what needs to be done and what we can keep. We are so happy with our new deck upon his advise!

JT Contracting / Jim were incredibly thorough in explaining our options to replace wood porch steps. They had been constructed in a way that they were taking in too much water and as a result were rotting much sooner than they should have. The work was completed on time, their workers were thorough and professional -- and we're happy with the end result.

JT did a complete gut remodel of our bathroom. The work was done professionally and we are very satisfied with the completed project. It did take a while for them to get started, but once they did they worked continuously through the end of the project. Would definitely use them again!

Jim was very responsive and timely with bid. He was here with his crew and they were a pleasure to have working in our home. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the day and the end of the project. Floor, trim, and door looks great .

Our ceramic tile floor in the kitchen cracked due to a leaking dishwasher, and needed to be replaced. The old floor was set on a 1/2" plywood base. Jim Taccola and his crew removed the old tile, and using a saw, cut the plywood base into sections, then removed it. After removal, they painstakingly applied screws to the original plank wood floor to stabilize it. They then installed the cement backer board and the new porcelain tile. John O'brien, the tile setter, did an amazing job with intricate cuts on the tile. The entire job took one week to complete. The crew was punctual, efficient, very professional, and meticulously cleaned up every day. I usually get three quotes on any work I want to have done, and don't schedule more than one job until I see the final results of the first job. Based upon this experience, I'm confident that any job I hire JT General Contracting for will be finished with the same meticulous professionalism as my kitchen floor replacement.

We are exceedingly happy with the work done and will certainly call on Jim for future project needs.
