About us

Junk Away is a family owned and operated business that started on Florida's Emerald Coast in 2008. Jim and Carleton--a father-son pair--came up with the concept years before, however, while Carleton was still in high school. Where could we find someone to haul away unused and unneeded stuff? Where do you take that old grill that is burnt out? What about those old mattresses? And, above all, the old hot tub sitting in the backyard that hasn't been used in years? Thus, Junk Away was born. A friendly Junk Away team member will assess your home or business and provide you with a free estimate for your junk removal. The estimate is based on the volume and/or type of items you need removed. Once you agree to the estimate, we will load up your junk and haul it away. We may even be able to remove your junk the very same day!

It went very well.  Two young guys that were very polite and professional halted off everything I asked them to do.  It took them about 20 minutes to load up quite a lot of heaving building materials, etc. plus a large filing cabinet.  I would not hesitate to call this company again to haul off any kind of junk, etc.  I even received a follow up call from the owner to make sure I was pleased with the job!!!  Excellent customer service. <br />

Jim's guys showed up and hauled away a bunch of mattresses and other stuff left over from a major renovation.  Much easier than trying to get rid of it myself.  In the future I will set him up ahead of time to haul away the leftovers from projects. <br />

Jim was very responsive.  He answered the phone when I called, gave me a decent quote based on what I told him we had, and very good about coordinating a time to come over via phone (voice and texting).  He was on a job on Friday, but said he would be there Monday. He and his crew showed up at the exact time he said they would, and took everything!  Most importantly, they cleaned up under the trailer (where we had most of the junk stored), and he stayed to the quoted price he gave.  I am very happy with his professionalism, timeliness, and friendliness.  Will definitely recommend him to anyone that asks! <br />

<p>The owner Jim was GREAT! I called on a Friday, he was there 9am on Saturday morning( before I actually hired him) with truck and trailer ready to work. His crew got rained out the second day and he called back very promptly with times and dates on when they could get back to me and they did everything they said they would. Jim's attitude was the best. He is a "CAN DO" guy. LOVE that!! Great attitude, very responsive, very ambitious. His workers are very professional.</p> <p>I'm going to find some more junk for them to haul away.</p> <br />

I called Junk Away because I needed some items removed from my house after doing spring cleaning. They were really easy to schedule with and came to my house the very next day. They hauled all of my stuff away and cleaned up afterwards! They were on time and reasonably priced. They were nice guys and provided great service. I will definitely be calling them again and would recommend them to anyone. <br />
