Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
I was having trouble with my electrical panel and my solar company would not help me. I called JVec and they actually answered the phone. They came out the next day and were able to resolve the problem. They were knowledgable and did a good job of explaining what was wrong. I would hire them again.

Electrical Switches, Outlets & Fixtures Install or Repair
I am very happy with the replacement of my undercounter lighting in the kitchen. Jack the owner called me and came right out after our call to give me an estimate. He explained what the job entailed and listened to my choices for the lighting choices. He was very prompt with the estimate and answered all my questions. The work was completed after all the parts were in which took a few days. The electrician was very nice and did an excellent job. Took the time to explain and show me everything. He even cleaned up the counters after he completed the job. I totally recommend JVec for any electrical needs. I am going to use him again as I have another small job that needs to be completed. Keep up the great work.

Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
I contacted I contacted JVEC after I had a very bad experience with another contractor. I was told by the first contractor that my problem was very complicated requiring a complete rewiring of an entire circuit. That would require the work of two electricians for a full day at a cost of $3,100 plus a new electrical box for $6,000. This seemed ridiculous so I called JVEC. The electrician from JVEC arrived and agreed that it was a fairly complicated situation but he was able to fix the problem in about an hour at a cost of $189. - no new electrical box required. To me this is a great example of an honorable contractor and a contractor that is just trying to squeeze as many dollars out of a customer that they can. I highly recommend JVEC for their professionalism and ethics.

52-YEAR BUSINESS!!! Jack Vardiman is the TOP electrician to effectively fix/set up your essential electrical systems. Checked Angie's List and selected JVEC Inc. in Brea. Jaclyn provided outstanding customer service and immediately set up an appointment. Jack's knowledge is encyclopedic; his skill is utmost; and his actions are meticulous. He instantly recognized an older GE circuit panel and efficiently replaced the damaged breaker with the appropriate part. Furthermore, the repair fee was very reasonable.

I'm not sure how this man has stayed in business and got any reviews above 1?? I had 3 ceiling fans installed by this "company", one was not centered, so I asked Jack, the "owner", to fix the mistake. He was so unresponsive that this went on for several months. The fan was centered but the drywall was not repaired, (I was left with a hole in my ceiling covered by blue tape). The employee that made the mistake of not centering the fan said they don't repair drywall, and Jack, the owner, would not pay for the repair, (it was the responsibility of his employee to pay for the mistake). Now I have to pay for someone to fix the hole in my ceiling, or leave the ugly blue tape covering the hole. Wouldn't a good businessman take care of the issue and not pawn it off on his employee? Why would Angi be affiliated with a business like this?? I won't hire the drywall repair person from Angi, and if you read this review Jack, SHAME on you!! I feel sorry for your customers and employees!! BEWARE!

"Unfortunately you have not been honest regarding the time frame and my response. Your job was scheduled for completion on 5-30-24. Yes, one fan wasn't centered. We accepted all responsibility for that. The fact of the matter is we tried to schedule the correction on 5-31-24 (The very next day) You weren't available. You texted us on 6-13-24 asking for later in the month. Unfortunately we could not schedule at that time. On 7-23-24 you contacted us to complete the correction. We contacted you to request a mutual time when we could come back and move the fan. On 7-23-24 we offered to return on 8-1-24 to correct. You agreed to 8-1-24. The job was completed on 8-1-24 So you see....sometimes you weren't available and sometimes we weren't available but, at no time was it several months. I am keeping communication for evidence of what I have stated. Shame on you."

From my perspective things worked out super. Based on input from several electrical contractors addressing various shorts and tripped circuits since adding solar I was advised that my service box was too small and needed upgrading. Fortunately, I called JVEC for an upgrade estimate. The owner came out personally and diagnosed my problem as wiring not secured appropriately to breakers after explaining how that impacted my system. After securing my panel we parted with a hand shake, shared contact info and a promised consideration for any future electrical concerns. As for tripped breakers, so far so good…

It went well. The of the company, Jack, came out to provide the estimate. He answered all my questions about the project specifically as well as other electrical subjects not part of the project. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. On the day of the project, The workers advised when they were enroute to my house. Upon arrival, they confirmed the work to be and where it was to be done. They were friendly, courteous and professional.

Very well. Jvec crew went straight for the most probable site of the fault. Quickly traced the problem to be in the power line from pole to house. Able to immediately contact SCE and report what the diagnostics showed. The fault was confirmed and repaired that morning.

Everything went great, they quickly found the problem and diagnosed that the problem wasn't needing a whole new panel thank heavens. Saved me a lot of money! Would definitely recommend them and will most certainly be using them again! ?

He came in to do an assessment. He told me they can install a tesla wall charger on our 100a panel and make it work. After installation, we tried charging our tesla and it worked but after 10 mins it stopped charging so we called them back. They seem puzzled and were not sure why it stopped. They decided to install a new 50a breaker and thought the first one was faulty. Same error occured. Now they’re saying i have to set the charging to just 32-40a because its “safe for the battery”. It’s like fixing my car and then tells me i can only go 40mph on the freeway because its safer eventhough my car can go 65mph. I told him the wall charger is meant for 48a. Apparently he didn’t know tesla wall charger uses 48a coz he only calculated 32-40a. He even says tesla goes against state and national electric codes and apparently they haven’t been caught. Its pretty deceiving and just had our hopes up. Very very disappointed and frustrated!

"There are a few facts that you have omitted . You had several bids and all of them told you that you needed to upgrade your panel to 200 amps. this normally cost between $3,000 to $5,000 depending on several facts. When I was at your home I did a load calculation and informed you that you could add a 50 amp circuit for your vehicle. Which we did. The vehicle defaults to a 32 amp charge rate. This factory set. It also measures resistance and charges at a rate it feels it can. We have done hundreds of EV circuits for Tesla with no issues ever. I explained this to the customer and he understood. I informed him it that was better to charge the car at 32 amp because it saves the life of the battery. He was insistent We return and increase the circuit breaker and wire size. he wanted a #6 wire which will carry 70 amp. His existing panel will not calculate out for 70 Amp. Should he decide to have us do an 200 amp panel then we legally can increase the circuit for his Charger. In conclusion it appears that saving him thousands of dollars by not having to replace his panel made him unhappy."
