They were great!  Came to house, measured and gave us competitive quote.  We just gave them @ a weeks notice after electrical inspection and they sheet rocked and taped the entire basement in 1 day then skim coated and feathered over the next few days.  They were in and out of house within a few days. Walls were perfect...I highly recommend. <br />

We removed fibrous paneling from bedroom in very old house.  Discovered some of the room had plaster underneath, some had drywall, nothing really matched up neatly.  Additionally we enlarged closet.  JV came and installed drywall throughout, including ceiling, and made it all work together seamlessly.  In some cases laminating over old plaster, and in others attaching directly to studs or joists.  They were in and out quickly.  Mudding went smoothly.  They were as neat as drywallers can be, considering all the powdery dust. <br />

Juan was on time and quick with the estimate. The estimate was very competitive and the timing was good to get me on his schedule. They showed up on time. The big box stores couldn't deliver to my address because my driveway is particularly steep, but Juan went and picked up the drywall himself. They took about 5 days of work spread over about 2 weeks to complete the project. I was very happy with the overall schedule, cleanliness, and quality of the work. I'd use them again. <br />

It went excellent. I've used them many times before. They are a quality company. They do good work and they are affordable.  They've got a very affordable quality.

He is very reliable, careful and the results are outstanding. He comes with personal help and he is full of recommendations. I would highly recommend him. I am also going to have him remodel my bathroom in the future.

J-V Painting and Drywall was recommended to us by a friend who had work done by them as well. We contacted Juan and had him come out and give estimates on a few jobs we were looking to have completed.   Juan showed up on time and was very professional as we walked through the house and described all the work. He even took his shoes off at the front door which we did not ask him to do.  As we talked about each job he made recommendations to us that he thought would make the final outcome of each job better. A couple days after our meeting Juan emailed a detailed estimate to us with each job broken down as we requested.  We chose to have them install Crown Molding in our foyer, which was quite high, and remove the contractor grade 4x4 ceramic tiles in the basement bathroom and install 12x12 ceramic in its place. His team showed up on time and the first thing they did prior to beginning any work was to laydown large drop cloths all around the front door and areas to be worked in. The first job they completed was the Crown Molding. They installed, caulked, and painted it in two days. A feat which impressed me, considering a lot of the work was performed at least 18 ft off the floor, on ladders, and the walls had a lot of complex angles. After that job was done they cleaned up everything from their trash and debris to wiping any wall they may have scuffed in the process. The molding looks great. They immediately began work on the tile in the bathroom, again laying down tarps all around the area to be worked in. They had the tile out in a day and began laying the new tile we chose the next day. At the end of that day we were looking at it and did not like how one section was coming out. We talked to Juan that evening and the next day he looked at it and agreed with us. They took out that section and re-installed that area to our liking without any problem at all. Both jobs were completed in the time and cost he stated in the estimate, and both looked great.  <br />     During the time Juan was working on our projects Hurricane Sandy came through the area and we had two sections of our fence damaged. Juan asked if we would like him to repair it for us and offered to do the job immediately and for substantially less than an estimate we got from a local fencing company. I am very pleased and satisfied with the work Juan and his crew completed for us. All of his workers were very polite and professional. We would definitely recommend him to our friends and use him again for future projects we may have. <br />

Juan and his crew showed up promptly in the morning, and began work immediately. I was intending on finishing the insulation when I returned home from work, but they went ahead and finished it for me, which was a bonus for sure.  <br /> The crew continued to work on the installation and finishing of the drywall non-stop through lunch and into the evening, and when I checked their progress after they left for the day I was incredibly impressed. Outstanding work all around.  <br /> The next morning, the crew arrived and began working on finishing the job up. The finished product was absolutely outstanding and the two gentlemen that were here made sure we had a chance to look at the room prior to them leaving, and did an excellent job cleaning up the room. They even caulked around the window, which they did not have to do. Extremely professional work, and we will be using them in the future for sure, I cannot say enough good thing about Juan and his crew.  <br />

It was an excellent experience.  They worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job.  The entire process was finished within two days.

This company came in at the last minute and really got me out of a jam.  I know they were busy but they squeezed my job in and we were able to move my furniture back into my bedroom by midnight on 1/31/10.  I had to be at the hospital by 6:00 A.M. on 2/1/10 for spinal surgery.  It certainly felt good to come home to a nice, bright and cheery room.  Their worker was very hard working and you could tell he took pride in the work he was doing.  The only problem is they apparently are very busy and at times it's difficult to make the initial contact. <br />

Very high quality work, good attention to tidiness and cleanup, very professional and competent, good and flexible scheduling, good management, fair estimate. <br /> Did exactly what was requested, plus a little more.  Highly recommend them. <br />

I had just bought my house and had sagging ceilings due to lack of screws and high humidity. I also had horrible 80's wallpaper that I was attempting to remove that wasn't coming off b/c the previous owners had not painted the walls before they applied it. I found Juan on Angie's list and called him to come out to get an estimate. He gave me four referrals, and I called all of them. They gave rave reviews and said they have used him repeatedly for jobs because of his work quality, work ethic, and excellent price. <br /> I found this to completely true as they worked in my home for 3 weeks Monday through Saturday. His crew were skilled, hard workers, and beyond courteous with me. I was pregnant and had 2 young children at home and feared living with the construction, however, his crew were so professional as they moved they from each part of the house, making sure not to leave a mess and safety., that it turned out not to be a problem. <br /> The work that they did was so meticulous: sometimes redoing a ceiling b/c it wasn't level, getting between areas, and repainting a whole room b/c the army green looked so bad. Juan also has an excellent eye for colors and design; I have received numerous compliments on both the color and quality of the work (even from a painter friend). <br /> Both my husband and I have agreed that we will call JV again and have recommended him to friends.

JV Painting and Drywall did a great job with drywall and painting!!  I made a mistake and did not originally identify an area on the wall entering the area.  They were great about it and drywalled anyway, but I didn't have the paint to match.  So I recommend the customer thoroughly identify the areas to be drywalled and ensure they have the right paint before having the work done.

Excellent work. once the large hole in my ceiling was dry walled, it looked as good as new. Worker was professional and responsive to my requests, courteous. extra hour was needed, was charged $35.00.

I've used them twice.  They did a great job.  I'll definitely hire them again.  I would tell people that they do great work and their prices are great.

The paint job was completed very well in one day as promised.  The quality of the work was excellent and was performed in a very professional manner.
