JW Associates Glass and Door

We arranged a time that he was going to arrive at. He arrived on time, and he took the measurements. He told me that he would have this done within four days. I called after the four days, and he said he would not be able to make it until next week. We made the appointment, and he asked if he could come earlier around 1. He showed up around 11. I had to leave, and left my Aunt at home to supervise the job. She does have some trouble with English. When he finished the job, he notified my Aunt that he left some space in order to ensure that the hinges would not rub up against the glass. She paid him and he left. I did work as a contractor previously, and I felt like the mirror was just measured incorrectly. There was 1/4 inch of black film and chipped paint on the white door where the gap was located. I called him immediately to see if he could replace it. He came back with solvent remover. I asked him if he could replace the glass itself, because the mirror on the other door extended further to cover the same area without any issues. He said that he would be able to replace it within one week. I called a week later, and he told me the mirror would be ready within a few days. I called back two weeks after the incident and he told me that he'd no longer be willing to replace the mirror. After some further communication, we worked out a deal where he would come with the solvent remover, and clean up the 1/4 in. of black film and patch up the paint in that area. I still have yet to have the issue fixed. I have probably had 300 trades that I've worked with over the years, and have only had trouble with about 2.
