Tomas M from JW did a great job. Needed replacement for part of the frame of front door. He did a fantastic job in matching the replacement panel to the rest of door. He also painted the entire frame and replaced some additional wood that we damaged at top of frame and caulked it all. Also had a basement door frame sanded and repainted. He was very good at keeping me informed of the process.

The workers were outstanding and the work was very high quality. The price was reasonable and matched the amount they quoted me. The workers were absolutely fabulous and very professional. I would definitely hire them again

Top finish should've been completed better on the new installed closet doors. The customer service is excellent.

JW Home Improvement did a great job fixing my door. Alberto fixed the door and it looks like a new door.

I just warn other people about their scam like business tactic. They added up overhead charge (8% of labor cost) and whatever material they used to finish the job. So an upfront estimate they give you is only labor cost. Be careful before you hire.

Made appointment for them to come over for an estimate (which they charge for) between 9-12 today. They are a no show. I wasted the whole morning on them. DO NOT recommend.

Thomas M was an excellent technician and did great work fixing all the basement windows around the house. These windows are difficult to find a replacement but he was able to repair and repaint them. The other technician was Pablo He worked on caulking all the windows around the house and he did some filling work on the garage sliding doors You did a good job, but Pablo left his trash around and didn’t pick up after himself so Thomas M and I did that on the third day. It took three days total, but it was two men for two days and one man for a 3/4 of a day actually. Although I’ll probably get charged for a full day, since it went past noon. The labor portion is the most expensive and a little higher than I initially anticipated. So, I was hoping for a quicker turnaround, but overall quality work was completed. I would highly recommend Thomas M as a technician to do future work. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly and does a great job. I would hire again but include more details in the contract language.

We’ve been working with JW Home improvement for several years and are always delighted their work. Pedro and Luis did work for us for two days last week and it was terrific. It included soft-washing the house and painting/staining of exterior wood work. It looks great.

Exceptional Service from JW Home Improvement – A Review Worth Writing Let me start by saying I hate writing reviews, but after the service I just received, I felt absolutely compelled to share my experience. A few days ago, that dreaded moment happened. Our garbage disposal finally gave out. With four daughters, a wife, plenty of spoons, and after years of loyal service, it had officially met its match. I had tried finding quality and trustworthy people and did what anyone would do—asked family and friends. That’s when I remembered JW Home Improvement doing my parents’ deck. They had nothing but great things to say about the experience, so I gave JW a call. After a few frustrating calls with unreliable handymen, I called JW Home Improvement and spoke with James Hinton, who promptly scheduled Jesse and Josh to come assess the situation. Thank God I did. Jesse Wertjes and Josh Metz came out, assessed the situation, and gave me three different options at varying price points. That level of transparency and choice immediately built my trust. With a full family in the house, I opted for the Cadillac of disposals, one that can apparently grind chicken bones, which feels like a necessary feature at this point. From there, Angela Redd, the project coordinator, called to schedule the installation. When our appointment day arrived, so did a snowstorm. Impressively, Angela let me know the tech was still willing to make the call. I chose to reschedule because I didn’t want anyone driving in those conditions, but the dedication spoke volumes. On the rescheduled day, Weldon Harris, the office manager, personally called me in the morning to update me that the technician, Fernando, was running a little behind due to another job taking longer. I didn’t mind at all because the communication was spot on, which to me is one of the most important aspects of good service. When Fernando arrived, he introduced himself and immediately got to work. Everything was smooth until we realized the manufacturer had provided the wrong power cord. Instead of cutting corners, Fernando ran out to Home Depot to get a heavier-duty replacement. That kind of attention to detail blew me away. And the service didn’t stop there. Janice Chuck in billing made the payment process seamless, taking care of everything right away. Later, Luis Molina even followed up to ensure the entire process had gone smoothly and asked if I’d be willing to leave a review. Absolutely. This was my first time using JW Home Improvement, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’m already scheduling an estimate with them for a bathroom remodel and kitchen cabinet revamp. If this is how well they handle a garbage disposal install, I can only imagine how smooth my remodels will go. JW Home Improvement isn’t the cheapest company I spoke to, and I didn’t pick the cheapest option, but I got exactly what I paid for. Top-tier service, communication, and quality workmanship. Based on the previous work that JW Home Improvement had performed at my Germantown house, I thought it would be a great idea to have them do more work. This time I asked them to install a shower insert & pan in the master bath. The work was poorly performed allowing the pan to have areas that sink when walked on or standing on. More troubling is that the installation was performed twice, with the second time worse than the first. And how about the initial dollar estimate: well this was almost $2K more than the quote. Initially I was excited they accepted the job. But this turned out to be like a bad dream. As a result, I will not be calling them for any more work nor favorably recommending them to anyone.

Everyone involved was professional and polite. Setting up the estimate and scheduling the work went smoothly. JW Home Improvement stayed in touch throughout the process. I received appointment reminders, all receipts, and a follow-up call before the final payment. I am very pleased with the work.

Hired to repair or replace exterior door. There was daylight coming in below the door. The person who gave the estimate assured us they could repair. The people who showed up were not properly informed. They completed work, but it didn't solve problem. The company is almost impossible to get ahold of. They have never returned a call. We spent hours to finally get someone to come out. That person recommended we replace the whole door/frame after we already paid over 1K for repair. After months of leaving messages and calling we finally gave up.

Excellent! Quick, responsive and offered solutions! I was able to hire them on very short notice.

We were quite pleased with the initial consultation visit with Jesse Wertjes (and daughter) during which we discussed and planned for a series of interior and exterior changes, fixes and upgrades. Their administrative team communicated in a timely manner with regards to scheduling and billing processes. Our project team (David Ayala and crew) were always very punctual and affable and worked very hard despite the soaring temperatures and humidity during the three day period.

Everything was done cleanly and efficiently. My precise instructions were perfectly followed. I am very pleased with the result.

It went very well. The technician, Thomas Matamore, not only fixed our kitchen cabinets and drawers but let us know how to better maintain them.

We have used JW Home Improvements several times. The most recent time, was a pesky leak in the master bathroom. After getting an estimate from Josh Metz, I was felt that I was ready for anything. The crew from JW, Cesar and Jimmy came to the house, assessed the situation and got to work. The crew determined that they could make all the repairs in half the time. That had a really benefit to the budget. The whole time Darrick, the project coordinator, stayed on top of the progress and ensured that I was in the loop. By the time the JW was finished, there was no evidence that there had ever been leak! Everything looked great!!! Whenever we have home repair, cleaning or remodeling, JW is our first call.

Great from start to finish… Josh got us an estimate quickly; Weldon coordinated efficiently; and Thomas’ work was terrific!

This was the fourth time, at least, that I hired JW to do work that was beyond my abilities. The technicians got the job done, arrived when expected, and cleaned-up as they went along. Wonderful! Thank you Teddy and Melvin.

JW has the best technicians that get the work done. Pedro Yac was the technician who completed the work. He was thorough and completed each of the jobs with perfection. He was very professional, pleasant and a hard worker. Jesse Werkjes, when giving the estimate, was helpful in suggesting a couple of things that I would not have through of which was much appreciated.

We were very pleased with the quality of work delivered on our project to repair our indoor stair railing. Over a period of two decades our cat had used the railing posts as a scratching post. We were concerned that the repair might not be esthetically pleasing without a full replacement. We were delighted that a pleasing and economical solution was delivered for this project in the promised timeframe. The assigned worker communicated well, offered options and delivered beyond our expectations.
