"I’m sorry to hear about your experience, but we value your feedback. We aim to provide clear communication and high-quality work on every project. In this particular case, the homeowner told us that we needed to remove a floating floor. However, it was glued-down engineered wood, which made the removal process more demanding. It was a 2nd-floor hallway with six doorways significantly higher than the LVP we would install. We explained to the homeowner that we needed to level the floor. This added complexity and cost to the project. Each room entrance had a different height, so we had to adjust the leveling and create slight ramps to the doorways. This was a difficult job, and despite the homeowner initially agreeing to the added costs of the demo and leveling, the situation became even more challenging due to his hostile behavior towards me and the workers. For instance, he accused us of leaving the job early, but in reality, we couldn’t proceed with the work on certain days because we had to either pour cement, which couldn't be done at the end of a workday, or wait for the cement to dry. I mostly relied on my project manager, who handled the installation, for onsite communication. A family pet passed away during the project, so I couldn’t always answer the homeowner’s calls immediately. However, I followed up with a text explaining the situation. Furthermore, I responded to the homeowner's communications within an hour. The review stated that we charged $40,000 for the project, which was likely a typo; the correct amount should have been $4,000. We take all customer concerns seriously and strive to make things right. I contacted the homeowner to offer to honor the warranty and replace the top stair nose molding, which came loose during the required 48 hours of drying time. Unfortunately, we could not schedule the repair promptly, and we accept responsibility. While we recognize that we could have communicated better, we believe the review is unfair."
