"[member name removed] Thank you for taking the time to review Kairos. Unfortunately, you are a customer business owner hope to avoid. I gave you an estimate, in writing, for a job you needed done. The estimate was broken down by labor and material price. You were under no obligation or pressure to have us do any work for you. Once I purchased the material you wanted the receipts. I have no obligation to show you the receipts but went over them with you anyway. You asked me to return $1.27 plumbing tape (and take off final bill) because we had some on hand we could use. This is when you started saying you would put everything in the Angie's list review if I didn't do it. I had no obligation to do this but when I agreed, you started taking more off the final bill, like it was up for debate!! I allowed this because you were telling me you would give us a bad review before we had even really started the work. The estimate also stated a recommendation for additional work but you didn't want to pay for it. I even purchased the part willing to install it for free but you insisted I return it along with the tape once you saw it on the receipt.(another $12.00 taken off final bill also) I wasn't charging extra for the valve because I had given you a material price, not knowing you were going to pick the receipt apart. When the additional valve also needed replaced, you bullied me into replacing it for free by stating you would give me a poor view if I didn't. You were upset when I told you we wouldn't move furniture from a downstairs area to an upstairs area for free. You stated, "But, I'm an old lady and need help." You then wanted me to ask the plumber to move it for you. You were very upset when I wasn't willing to ask him to do it for you. On the bid it stated there was a good chance the new fixtures you purchased, on sale somewhere, wouldn't match with the existing valve and a plumber would need to come replace the valve. The plumber is licensed and bonded and come out the same day (While we had the tub surround pulled out) to complete this job quickly for you. They didn't just "happen to have the valve" they had to go purchase the valve to match your fixtures. While they were there you tried to get them to do additional work for no cost also, which they refused. We had to ask you to please step out of the one man shower while the valve was getting replaced because you were within a foot of the workers while they were working, trying to watch everything being done. You complained about everything not allowing them to do their jobs undisturbed. You asked that we use used material because you didn't want to pay for new mortar or grout. The tile was very inexpensive (less then 1.00 sq ft) and had been sitting around somewhere for years. When you turned the water on to test the shower you turned to me and said "What did you do to this!" at which time I reached down and pulled the knob all the way up and the shower got water. I know you wanted a discount but because it was a job well done, I wasn't willing to allow you to bully me into a discount. [member name removed] threatened to give Kairos a bad review during the whole job. I asked an independent tile person if he could come by and look at the tile. You video taped it and we allowed it because there was nothing to hide. I kept asking you where you saw issues but you wouldn't point them out to me. I'm sorry you felt you had such a negative experience with Kairos. We strive to make all our customers happy but unfortunately even after everything we did extra for you, we fell short in your case."
"Hello, [member name removed] I'm sorry that you thought we had charged you a travel fee. The coupon you purchased was for 4 labor hours which covered 2 people for two hrs. After the 4 labor hours I informed you that we still needed to set the concrete and reinstall the gate which would take about an hour and half. It took us almost two hours but I only charged you for one. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I will be contacting my Angie's list rep to make sure the coupon are very clear about the purchase of man hours vs total hrs. Thank you, JoAnn"
"Thank you for taking the time to review Kairos Enterprises, Inc. I apologize for not making it clearer, but the need to watch my granddaughters was in response to a family emergency. Again, I am very sorry, and we at Kairos hope you find the reliable contractor you are looking for."
