Not well. They charged an extra $1000 at the end of installation from the original price quoted and agreed upon. The job was to be 2 hours, ended up being well over 4 hours.

"Thank you for the feedback. It is a however a concern that you are unhappy with the charge as we are upfront with all our prices and all charges are discussed with the customer and signed as accepted by the customer before proceeding with any work. As for the time it took to complete, I'm don't understand how they could have given you a 2 hour time frame (I will take this up with the Technician). A surge protector installation together with a grounding system would definitely take more than 2 hours. I would be worried about our standard and quality of work if they have done that in 2 hours. As the owner I will contact you to discuss your concerns."

I recently called Kalahari Electrical for a quote on a project. "Jan" was actually willing to negotiate with me over the phone, and I was pleasantly surprised. The price he gave was where I needed to be, and allowed me to make a decision that I will Never regret. When Jan and "Gilead" showed up to do the work I was blown away by what I was seeing. Jan was up on my second story roof doing the work of at least two guys, and Gilead was coordinating all the support Jan needed on the ground. They were very comfortable guys to be around, and even welcomed my 'input' if I had any questions. The job done was absolutely INCREDIBLE, and I am very sincere when I say that .. I know, because I had attempted to do this same project myself, and only got as far as mounting the roof .. period. Then while they were finishing up, and I was applauding their work (almost literally !) both of them began a Clean Up procedure that exceeded anything I personally would have even considered. I had read about their 'clean up' in a few of the reviews, and I can absolutely testify that it. Jan after doing the install took a leave blower, and cleaned sawdust, shingle particles, and a few leaves leaving my roof spotless .. while Gilead picked up every piece of trash that had fallen to the ground ! These two guys are the authentic - Real Deal, and the reason I sound like I 'Drank the Kool-Aid' is because I can't get the taste of it out of my mouth. These Guys are over the top in total Customer Service, and will be the First guys I call in the future for any other projects I need help with. 'Thank You' Jan and Gilead . . you are now two Friends of mine who absolutely did that job as if you were "working on your own homes !". Terry

They came out the same day to fix an improperly wired plug. A previous electrician had quoted $100 more and said a hole would have to be cut in my wall. That electrician also left half of my house without power with contractors on scene needing power. Jan squeezed me in long after normal work hours and completed the job in an hour (including clean up). No hole in the wall. He was very knowledgeable and had no problem fixing the plugs. I would use him again in the future!

He provided an excellent service. He got it done in the exact time he stated. Joe fixed the issue. We called Georgia power, and knew all of what needed. We were in a very bad situation coming home to no power. They acted so quickly.

It's really great to find an honest craftsman. I asked Jan to look at rewiring an area of my home that would have required major work. I needed a second opinion after meeting with another electrical contractor who was pushing for a complete redo. Jan arrived on time and spent over an hour with me reviewing the work that was to be done. Off the bat, he didn't push an expensive redo. In fact, he suggested that I hold off on the work given a variety of factors. Incredible, given that many electricians would have pushed ahead and, importantly, would have tried to sell the job regardless. I really appreciate his honesty and professionalism. Too rare these days. I would definitely call him in the future. Many thanks.

From start to finish, Kalahari Electrical Services distinguished themselves by their professionalism and punctuality. I was especially impressed with Jan who was very informative and personable. He quickly identified electrical issues with my home and was able to resolve them promptly. He also installed a new stove top for my kitchen which looks great and functions perfectly. Overall, it went great and I am happy with service provided. I feel the charges are a bit on the high side for the work performed overall but I am willing to pay more on a job like this b/c I genuinely like and trust Joe C. To me, there are too many dishonest electrician's out there who are perhaps willing to charge less to earn business but for this type of project, there are other considerations in this case such as longer term safety concerns which I prioritize highly when selecting a vendor in addition to past track record, experience, and level of service. I would also add that he provided a fair discount up front but, the one little thing that slipped by me was that they still charge the $39 for the service call/estimate which i have seen many other service related companies remove once the work is underway..still not a major concern for me and I would definitely hire again.

Jan was very nice, came early to perform the repair, and showed me what had gone wrong and what he was doing to fix it at every step. I was very impressed and plan to hire them to do a more extensive upgrade for my home in the coming months.

It went really really good. They were on time, very jovial, professional. They make sure everything is covered up, and they cleaned up after they were done. It looked like they had never even been there. I already intend to use their services again to install some more lights, without hesitation!

We received a bad inspection report for our panel when we were trying to sell our home. Kalahari came in and went over the report. We looked over and signed a moderately priced quote. Then they set off to do the work to tidy up the panel a bit and swap out breakers. Once into it they decide they would rewire the whole thing. They did not charge extra and were still in and out fast. We have used several other companies but will not ever again.
