I have failed to understand the level of incompetence this company has shown! Truly failed. At this point I don’t think they are a real company because all I am seeing our numerous complaints online about them. Please be advised this company WILL steal your money and NOT do the job! In our case, they stole $17,500 and not once showed up to the house to perform the job even though we signed a contract. They also kept our house plans and won’t return them. It’s been almost a year since we’ve been trying to get our money and plans back and we’re just fed up. There has been no response from the company!! We have proof that no work was done at our place and proof of the check issued to KBR, their withdrawal of the money, as well.

Abysmal experience. Zero oversight. Over a year and counting for a SIX WEEK PROJECT. They and their subcontractors damaged (among smaller things): my existing oven, my existing refrigerator, my backyard turf, my new hardwood floors they installed, and my dishwasher. Cupboards are not aligned, drawers are not aligned, cabinet hardware put on crooked, exposed nails in numerous places, one cupboard damaged, undermount lighting flickering, broke through the linen closet, broke through the closet in my childs' room, failed to protect the bottom floor of the home under where the kitchen was and trash and debris covered the room under the kitchen, messes left for days, potfiller still not producing consumable water after over a year, etc... Do you think the project manager noticed any of this? NOPE. He was here, I believe 4 times total other than when he was collecting checks, trying to get me to upgrade or pushing me to sign off on things poorly or incompletely done. And not once on time (fortunately I was working from home). Be prepared to be your own project manager and you better check everything carefully. Take lots of pictures. At the outset, I did sign off on a design that seemed to look nice on the computer, but I was never warned that it was drastic overkill for my space. Like, exponentially the amount of storage that a kitchen 2x my size should have! Again, not once was it suggested to me that this may be too much! No checking of soffits was done, so I incurred $3500 thanks to their failure to check what was behind the soffits in the existing kitchen. They did however attempt to upsale, as the Project Manager and two others from the company office acted as though there was a big emergency the day or two after construction started and wanted me to redo the INSIDE of my ceiling for an additional $1000! I asked, is it a danger? No. Is it otherwise not to code? No. Then No - I have better things to spend money on other than a ceiling interior, especially when you simultaneously inform me you failed to check the soffits and need an extra $3500. Their one contribution to design was to try to get me to NOT do the niches on either side of my oven (which was my idea and I love having), I think because the amount they quoted me wasn't worth their time. Finally, since my kitchen had been redone approximately 1.5 years before this work was started (I bought a new-to-me-home), I asked if I could keep the existing white shaker cabinets and just purchase new ones where needed. They said yes, and that was the plan. However, they never informed me that the two whites were different colors, so now I have paid FIVE FIGURES for a kitchen where the cupboards don't match and are two shades of white. They put quartz on the inside of my windows so I cannot get shades in my new windows that close. Garbage left for days both inside and outside my home, no communication as to when noise levels would be such that I'd need to be out of the house, constant follow up required by ME, not them, to finish the job, which remains ongoing. Nightmare. Run.

KBR did a fine job in doing a total renovation of my main bathroom. Since my house was built in 1952, the bathroom was not large in size but was in need of a full renovation. Sim was very helpful in guiding me through the selection of materials for the walls, floor, vanity top and other fixtures. The work was done on time and in a professional manner. The technicians were very good about cleaning up after each day's work. I was very pleased with the finished job.

We hired KBR Kitchen and Bath to remodel our master and upstairs guest bath. I have never dealt with a more incompetent company - very poor project management. A job that was supposed to take 6-8 weeks took over 5 months. Typically we would get excuses for the delays - supply chain, vendor issues, etc. At the end of the day KBR just didn’t deliver and essentially lied to us throughout. There are still little issues now that the bathrooms are done (uneven vanity doors, cracked tiles, different heights of vanities, etc.). Plus their trucks say “we don’t use sub contractors” even though we know for at least one of our bathrooms, a sub contractor was used. All in all, beware if you hire KBR Kitchen and Bath - we recommend your really consider other options.

Chose KBR because of the similarity between our condo renovation and projects they had done in the past. Presented design ideas to their designer, Sim, and found him to be very receptive and accommodating. He was able to provide excellent ideas and presented them in 3D so my wife could comprehend the concepts (versus straight line/construction drawings). He was very patient with requested changes and provided wonderful alternatives to match our design preferences. Construction team, led by construction manager Firuz and dedicated on-site construction lead technician Isaac, was outstanding. Having construction experience myself with multiple renovation projects, this crew was best ever. Never had one who shared such attention to detail and professionalism as did the KBR team. Every day, they cleaned up and left the job site immaculate. Showed respect for our space as if it were their own. Completed project on-time and within budget as promised. Highly recommend the KBR team and would rehire them in a minute!

KBR Kitchen & Bath (Bethesda, MD) did a superb job on all aspects of our bathroom remodeling, including the design by Sim, the project management by Firuz, and the workmanship by technicians Lou, Kevin and Alex. All involved were a pleasure to work with: professional, invariably courteous and excellent at communicating with us during all phases of the project. KBR does not use subcontractors and this is partly why they are able to keep such precise control over the entire process and were able to complete the bathroom within budget and ahead of schedule with the resulting bathroom being exactly what we wanted. We would definitely use KBR again in the future and can recommend them without hesitation.

I selected KRB Kitchen & Bath to renovate three bathrooms in my townhouse. Two bathrooms (including the Master Bath) were completely gutted, and the third bathroom was a 3/4 renovation. The designer Burak was excellent with helping me decide how each bathroom would be remodeled. I met with him in KBR's Fairfax showroom and we walked through the design and picked all the finishes and other materials. I had a pretty clear sense of what I wanted and Burak easily guided me in making the right decisions. The job was set to begin right when Virginia was facing closures and restrictions due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The KBR crew worked throughout this period ensuring that appropriate safety measures were taken. The project was lead by Omer, who kept me up to date on the status of the project as I had moved out of the house while the work was being done. Omer did a great job of managing all aspects of the project. I was able to move back into the house in three weeks and the project was completely finished after four weeks. This was several weeks ahead of the original contract plan. I highly recommend KBR.

KBR Kitchen and Bath (Fairfax) did an incredible job remodeling our upstairs bathrooms! We initially reached out to several companies for quotes, but we selected KBR because the designer (Silviya) made such a great impression when she came to our home to take measurements and to collect our requirements for the project. She asked great questions, gave helpful advice, and she helped us select the right design and materials to ensure that we ended up with bathrooms that we love. Throughout the project, the Project Manager, Omer, kept us informed of the process and schedule, answered our questions, and he ensured that communication between us, the subcontractors, and the crew doing the work was seamless. The crew was at our house from 8-5 every day, they put down drop cloths to cover the floor from the front door to the bathroom, and they cleaned up well before leaving each day. The team was led by Urias whose attention to detail, eye for design, and experience resulted in bathrooms that exceeded our expectations in every way. We were so impressed by Urias’ work that we added additional electrical work in the kitchen and basement onto our contract. I had heard so many horror stories about remodeling projects that drastically exceeded the budget and schedule, so I was expecting some surprises. The only surprise was how great the final product was…both bathrooms exceeded our expectations in every way!

Great! Had a great selection of tile, cabinetry, etc. to choose from in their showroom. The guys in my home were polite and hard working. Done in 3 weeks, just as stated in our contract. This is the 2nd bathroom renovation KBR has done for us. Would hire again!

We just finished remodeling our two master baths. One was a complete remodel down to the studs, reconfiguring, and rebuilding. The other was more modest where the original footprint remained intact. We were not sure exactly what we wanted, and we worked with KBR Designer Silviya to design a bathroom that we now love. She was more than patient as she guided us through the seemingly endless options including basic design and selection of materials. She was extremely knowledgeable and had great ideas that we incorporated into our projects. Once we settled on what wanted, Project Manager Huseyin and his crew took over the construction. Like Silviya, the crew was exceptionally talented and completed the project with a minimum of disturbance. Everyone at KBR was very professional, easy to work with, and flexible. Remodeling can be extraordinarily stressful and disruptive, but KBR easily overcame the obstacles and produced wonderful results. We would highly recommend them.

Excellence, perfection, and quality best describes KBR Kitchen and Bath of Bethesda, Maryland. After meeting with four top (A) rated companies from Angie’s List for kitchen estimates, KBR was the only company to provide an actual (kitchen design –in 3D format), while other companies submitted worded descriptions devoid of any creatively or imagination. KBR sent kitchen designer Catherine Harvey to my home, who immediately offered functional design ideals, sketches, material guidance, and budgetary advice to support the best design. Mrs. Harvey’s knowledge of construction and materials was beyond impressive, to include her artistic design execution. As a result, Mrs. Harvey submitted a 4-page kitchen design estimate complete with a 3D design illustration, pricing, and additional sketches. The type of professional estimate you would expect after watching DYI television or the Home and Garden channel (awesome). I immediately hired KBR of Bethesda to renovate my kitchen. After accepting the estimate, I met with Mrs. Harvey at KBR Bethesda headquarters to pick out my materials and to sign the finial contract for construction. Mrs. Harvey presented four designs of top quality material within my budget (see photos) with additional material options. Next, I selected my design and then read over the contract for construction. The contract was very well written, which covered start and completion dates, a detailed construction outline, materials, and flexible dates for unforeseen emergencies. What is more, Mrs. Harvey explained my next meeting would be with project manager Adam Salniturk, who would conduct a walkthrough of the kitchen and introduce me to the construction tech. Project manager Adam Salniturk conducted a comprehensive walkthrough of my kitchen and the construction process, while introducing me to my construction tech Carlos Chicas. Mr. Chicas provided construction updates each day explaining his work and progress. As a result, the kitchen project finished ahead of schedule by 1 and a half weeks (outstanding job). KBR of Bethesda surrounds themselves with a very eclectic group of talented people. People that take pride in their work and care about customer needs. Mrs. Harvey proved to be an exceptional designer, Mr. Salniturk was a firsthand manager, and Mr. Chicas exceptionally talented in every area of construction; each demonstrated great teamwork, pride and coordination. Talent like this is hard to find in today’s home improvement climate. If you want to do good business, I highly recommend KBR Kitchen and Bath of Bethesda. (I’m hiring them back to renovate my master bathroom next year)

Our experience with KBR was excellent. We started the renovation process by contacting multiple companies for quotes and designs. KBR was very prompt in response. KBR was always courteous and available at the agreed meeting times. Fatih, our designer, worked with us over multiple visits to help us design the new kitchen and pick out the cabinets, countertops, and hardware. Over a couple of weeks and several meetings, we were able to finalize the layout, cabinetry, countertops and outlets. The final design was set in a walkthrough at our townhouse with Fatih, Adam, the project manager, and Francisco, the technician. The on-site contractors were very courteous and tried extremely hard to keep our house reasonably clean. KBR lined the floors in the kitchen to protect our existing hardwood floor and lined the carpeted stairs from our ground floor to the second floor kitchen. The quality of the final renovation was excellent. As we discovered issues, Fatih, Adam and Francisco were readily available and helpful in resolving these issues. In the end, each issue was resolved to our satisfaction. The project was complete ahead of schedule. Despite the unanticipated issues, KBR was timely, efficient and professional. Furthermore, KBR paid attention to every last detail, including the final repaint of the entire kitchen. We are very happy with the finished product and we highly recommend KBR for those looking to renovate their kitchens.

KBR Bethesda estimated and contracted for the project to take 12 weeks. It took them OVER A YEAR. Project included a warranty for the first year. KBR has NOT honored the warranty. KBR was careless in their design; ordering, and installation. Since space is limited, here are highlights: carelessly used two different colored grouts in bathroom; broke crystals on light; chipped marble floor tile and did not replace; installed extra height cabinets when we requested standard height cabinets. In designing did not allow for slanted ceilings or shower water hitting a window; or a glass shower door hitting a toilet; had to replace doors, had to reinstall part of tile and grout due to poor work; did not match grout when they had just grouted it. Painted part of ceiling with flat and part satin finish paint on ceiling; did not cut marble straight for shower seat; remains not straight. When laying flooring did not pay attention to patterns and lumped all together. Brought in poorly cut vanity countertop twice; it didn't fit the vanity or line up with plumbing either time. There's more but the reader should get the idea. The project was managed so poorly by KBR management they had no idea whether or not workers showed up; when project ran into problems due to KBR issues they had no way to resolve them or put in new workers. The workers they did use were generally unskilled. Some may have had experience but were not properly trained -- they just slapped things together. (Note KBR does not use actual plumbers to install pipes or any plumbing) -- Also note KBR did not use a dumpster but instead dumped trash on the lawn and lied about having regularly scheduled pick ups. Neighbors reported trash to Montgomery County it was so bad. We reported them to Better Business Bureau but surprise, surprise, KBR ignores and does not respond to BBB reports so you won't see anything negative about them there. Good luck to anyone taking a chance on them -- In retrospect we would had included penalties on the contract to try to keep them on schedules and recommend holding money from final payment -- maybe that would have helped repair warranty problems. Also KBR manager when reached by phone is pleasant and agrees to anything but then does not act. Remember -- they took over A YEAR for a twelve week project/contract. And in case the reader is wondering, we always paid them on time and provided access to the property.

First, let me start by saying that we are extremely pleased with the end result of the kitchen renovation. My designer, Catherine, created a great space to my specifications which was not easy as we were more aware of what we did not like versus what we liked. The project manager, Adem, was professional and kept to the time table. Luis, the head contractor was also very good and his crews were excellent. We were particularly impressed on how tidy they left the work space every day and the quality of their work. Our one small complaint is the lack of communication we experienced. Catherine often promised getting back to us within a day and we did not hear from her for weeks. The progress of the work could have been explained more clearly to us (this was our first renovation ever so did not know what to expect at all): a weekly email would alleviate a lot of the questions we asked. The renovation of a kitchen is no easy project as it is so disruptive to the day-to-day running of a home but we feel that KBR Kitchen accomplished the renovation in a timely manner and we just love how it looks. We highly recommend them.

The completed work is awesome, and I am very pleased with the excellent service I received from KBR from the moment I walked into their showroom (without an appointment) to the final inspection. Belle, one of the designers, assisted me throughout the project and accommodated each and every one of my requests. She was always available when needed and answered my emails--and phone calls-- promptly. The only work I had to do was select the merchandise--everything else was handled by KBR.

Sim came out and listened to what we needed within our budget of $25000, with us separately purchasing our own appliances from Sears. He was very pleasant and came in slightly under budget with a design showing that he clearly understood what we were looking for. Adam was the project manager, easy to communicate with, and was very attentive and on top of all the details. Kenner and his team would arrive with certain goals and projects for the day and would get them done very quickly. Everyone was very nice and a pleasure to work with. When we wanted the soffit redone in a different way, they changed it and it looked great. We added a change order for some minor electrical work. There were no surprise price increases at the end. Almost all of the kitchen remodel was done ahead of schedule with one day of final touches being delayed past the deadline due to a delay in shipping a final piece and some scheduling issues. They produced a beautiful kitchen and I am very happy with the quality of their work.

The project went very smoothly, Adam Sanliturk was a great project manager, and the designer, Gokhan Sim, walked us through everything. The crew showed up consistently and worked quickly and efficiently. The only hiccups in scheduling seemed to be with the island, which I believe was constructed by another company. But everything turned out very well, we're very happy with the result. With the exception of finishing the island, the entire project lasted less than 2 weeks, with minimal inconvenience. Great job!

We hired KBR Bethesda to completely do-over our guest bathroom and make updates to our master bath. We were very happy with the process of working with KBR from Sim’s initial visit to our home through completion of the work and thrilled with the results. In the guest bath, KBR removed the 27 year-old soffit fluorescent lighting; installed new vanity lighting; an additional outlet, replaced the vanities, vanity counter, tub and floor tile, tub, toilet. The vanities , counters and tiles they have to choose from are high quality and offer a good range of choices. In the master, they replaced the same soffit lighting; replaced the vanities and counter; installed new outlets (including one inside the tower cabinet between the two sinks); removed a medicine cabinet and repaired the wall. They replaced all the plumbing fixtures, vent fans in both baths and painted both rooms. Douglas and Carlos, our two primary workers, arrived early each morning and worked tirelessly all day, cleaning up at the end of each day. They made sure to consult with us on discretionary things, such as the placement of grab and towel bars. We cannot recommend KBR highly enough. Their price was fair and the quality of their work excellent.
