It was a very good experience. They was less expensive than the other tree providers. They came on time.

The contract was to cut down/remove tree and grind the stump. Karl informed me if I found residual stump they would return for no additional charge. I found excessive residual stump, they returned and charged me $500.00 extra not as promised not happy not honest

provider indicated upon removal of tree all stump residual found would be removed at no extra charge. upon return call to remove residual stump provider charged extensive cost indicating  manpower and usage of stump grinder required additional charge, very dishonest <br />

He is an expert, conscientious and a wonderful guy. His team is polite, competent and neat. He does a very professional job and his prices are fair.

Provider did not remove all limbs on the tree he trimmed as initially agreed upon. The limbs that were removed were no where near the taller part of the tree. The whole point of removing all the specified limbs were so we do not lose power.  Also, the other tree we wanted  cut down was left in large trunk sections in our driveway. We needed to call multiple times to have these pieces removed.  We then had to call multiple time to have the stump removed as initially agreed upon.  After they finally removed the stump by shredding it with heavy machinery which costs a large additional fee; we ended up with a huge pile of shredded wood in our driveway.  It still has not been removed and we have had to make multiple calls to the provider through each step of this process over a long period of time.  We have been promised it will be taken care of "TODAY".  However, today comes over and over and no work gets done.  In the process we have also had to move our vehicles repeatedly to our neighbors and now we just park on our front lawn day after day waiting for this job to be DONE.  The provider calls to collect  his fee but the agreement was that he will collect his fee when all work is done however we are beginning to wonder when that will be and this "work in progress" is not a good look for the front of our house! <br /> Also, as a side note, we have not seen the owner since the estimate on the work. We have only sporadically heard from him on the phone when he sees fit to return a call with an empty promise. <br /> We are so very disappointed and the job is not even done yet and the limbs were never cut near the power lines as we had agreed upon. <br />

Carl responded fairly quickly to our inquiry and scheduled a day to come out to provide an estimate.  The estimate was provided in a fairly informal manner (not formal written document), but he seemed genuine and had good ratings on Angie's list, so we decided to go with him because he was fully $1,000 less than the other company we had a quote from.  We did receive a written contract detailing the work after we told him it was a go and that was fine.  There were some issues with scheduling because of weather.  If you are a stickler for having something done on a particular day, this may not be the company for you.  But the job that was done was pretty darm perfect.  The crew cleaned up and you could not tell that they had been on the property, dismantled my fence, or cut down trees (other than the stumps that we did not ask to have removed) after they were gone.  I would hire Carl again in a heartbeat!  He does really nice, clean, professional work.  I would not hesitate to recommend him. <br />

Carl is a great guy. He went beyond the call of duty and left the property better than he found. I would  use them again in the future. <br />

Had two estimates from 2 tree companies on Angie's List. KC Tree was by far the better price (about half of the other company's quote). We had 4 mid size and 4 large trees taken down. We also had all of the stumps ground down. Work was done within a week of our estimate. Everything was put back where it was and the property cleaned up after. Definitely recommend.

It went very well. The owner warned me that they would take down the tree quickly which would leave dents in the ground as the tree hit the ground. He promised that they would not damage any shrubs and structures. We also had the option of cutting down the tree in a more controlled, slower and more costly fashion. We opted for the fast tree removal and were pleased that they did not leave any dents in the ground. The workers who came did not appear to speak much English, which made communication a little more difficult. Overall, this was a very good experience. <br />

Wonderful polite service.  Owner came out to do estimate quickly.  He was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain the procedures. They did not harm any of my flowers in my flower beds or my bushes.  They were even on the roof!  Excellent service! <br /> Jessica Bruno <br />

Carl the owner of KC Tree Service.. came out as soon as i called for the quote,he was the the first quote i got after getting two additional higher quotes from others companies. <br /> He gave a very detailed work plan on what his company were going to do....scheduled the utility companies to come out and mark the grounds for elecrtic water cable & gas etc. The crew he had were very friendly and they preformed the job with no problems, also they cleaned the area very well after the job was done.... <br /> My neighbors were impressed with how fast and smooth the job went and ask for business cards.... <br />

 Work was done as expected.  Left the area clean.  Followed up with me that night to see if everything was to my satifaction. <br /> Very pleased. <br />

I can't overstate how pleased I am with KC Tree Service in the removal of two large trees from my property and large tree from my mother's. From the initial contact for the estimate, until the completion of the job, I was totally impressed. I had another company give an estimate (higher) and although highly rated on Angie's List, acted so disinterested, I had to leave a negative review. <br /> Carl communicates every step of the way - from his very reasonable price, calls to determine when they'll be there (apology call when they were running late). He even called afterwards to make sure that a dead wire that they had uncovered (which hadn't shown up in their research) hadn't adversely affected anything in my home (it hadn't).  <br /> The work was done professionally at both my house and my mother's; the workers were efficient and took great pains to clean everything up after they had finished. In fact, it was hard to believe that we had had trees, once they left - and this was in front of both of our homes, so this was very important. <br /> In summation, KC Tree Service was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again as well as to recommend them. <br />

KC Tree Services had several employees on the premises to remove numerous tree limbs and a large tree that fell in our backyard.  They were very careful during the removal process by carrying each limb to the front of the house so that they didn't damage our lawn.  They cut the larger fallen tree into pieces and used a hand truck to remove those pieces.  The employees were courteous, professional and very thorough with all the removal and the clean up efforts. Not to mention their pricing was very reasonable.  I would absolutely use this company again for future tree service. <br />

We were very pleased with both the price and the quality of the work performed by Carl's Kern's crew, which is top-notch. They performed the contracted work quickly and professionally while exhibiting a positive and pleasant attitude throughout the day. I was a little concerned when they removed part of our fence to allow their bucket truck to access our yard but Carl promised I would never know the fence was removed or the truck was there. Happily, that proved to be 100% true. Most importantly, not only was every limb picked up and fed through their chipper, so was every piece of bark and even the misc. brush, etc. Our trees are on their way back to good health, look great and our yard looks better than before Carl's crew arrived. <br /> I've already highly recommended KC Tree Service LLC to neighbors who asked who did our work and suggest that Angie's List members in their service area give them a call. The company arrived on time. The workers started right away and worked efficiently until the job was done. All clean up was satisfactory. KC Tree Service had the best price out of three estimates. Everything involved with the job was explained up front and the work was carried out exactly as expected. Overall, a very positive experience. <br />

We live in a small town in Gloucester County, NJ. My daughter and a family friend both used KC Tree Service, LLC of Sewell, NJ to remove  large trees from their yards. So I followed up on their recommendation and I'm glad I did. Carl, the owner was very responsive in coming out to provide an estimate. When I accepted the bid, we scheduled an appoint for KC Tree Service to start the job on 02/13/12. Carl said it was a two day job. We had two very large oak trees taken down. One hung over our neighbor's home so the work space was tight. Both trees were removed with no incidents within the time frame Carl gave us. His crew did a wonderful job cleaning up afterwards. You would never know they were in the yard! I initial had concerns about my yard because I like to keep it neat and well groomed. KC Tree Service laid special pads in the yard so the heavy trucks woud not leave any tire marks or grooves and they didn't. I couldn't be happier with the job!Fast, friendly professional service. This is about the third time we have used their services. They have cut down at least 40 trees.. In this area of New Jersey, we have bad bacteria leaf scorch that is affecting all the oaks. As a result of the bacteria all of the oak trees are dying and must be cut down. They are reasonably priced. They are meticulous in their work, and punctual. I only have positive things to say. As soon as neighbors come into the neighborhood they get his card, as they have to have their trees cut down too. They had to remove fencing in order to get into the back yard, and when the job was completed they put the fence back up. I would use their services again in the future.

His price was very reasonable.  He did a good job, you cant even tell the tree was ever there.
