Kennedy Construction is, by far, the finest Company I've dealt with in quite some time. From the initial quote, through final inspection, the process of replacing my roof was painless. Bob Stephens, (Estimator), was knowledgeable, pleasant, and displayed a sincere desire to provide quality service. Robert Cotton, (Production Supervisor) was very professional, and took the time I felt was necessary to listen to my concerns. His Crew, (courteous and tidy), did exemplary work, surpassing my expectations. In all, I was VERY pleased, and would not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

It took a little longer for them to come here but we have been having a lot of rain so I understand why it took longer.

The 2 men that come to repair the roof were very, nice and knowledgeable. They told use every thing that needed to be done and even showed us pictures. I was impressed with everything they did. They took care of our leak, did a great job and were on there way.

I received 2 estimates for a roof leak. Bob Stephens og KCG came out to provide the estimate. He did not get on the roof or go into the attic & quoted $1,500 to repair the roof leak. The 1st contractor did go into the attic & onto the roof & quoted $3,000. I wanted to go with the more expensive quote but the home warranty would not cover it. After dealing with the warranty company I decided to go with KCG but the quote expired & I scheduled Bob to come back out. The scheduled time was 2-4p. At 4:05p I called to see when I could expect Bob. The receptionist stated that Bob was delayed at his previous stop & would call me in an hour to let me know when he would arrive. I said to cancel the whole repair. Bob immediately called & stated that KCG would honor the previous quote. I accepted the $1,500 quote & submitted this to the warranty company which was approved. After the repair was complete I checked the attic during a storm & the roof was leaking in the exact same spot prior to the repair. I called KCG & they stated that there are additional leaks that need repaired for additional cost. I complained that these additional leaks should have been included in the original quote (which I assume is what the other contractor’s quote included & is why the quote was higher). I explained that the warranty company is very difficult & now I have to submit a claim for the same leak. KCG stated that they will help deal with the warranty company. So I scheduled someone to come out to provide a second quote to submit to the warranty company. The scheduled time was 9-11a. At 10:30a I called KCG to get an update on when I can expect the technician since I previously had an issue with timeliness. The receptionist said she would call the tech & call me back with an update. At 11:05a I did not hear back so I called KCG again. I was informed that the technician called out sick & that I need to reschedule the appointment. I complained that if I did not call about an update I would never have known that the tech was not coming & this is the 2nd time this has happened. KCG said that they cannot control when people get sick & that the roofing industry is busy & that people can’t always be on time.

On March 4th 2019 we agreed to have Kennedy Construction Groups replace our existing roof and repair any rotten wood, and we signed an agreement estimating the cost to be $12,665.00. We also agreed to in house financing and agreed to extend the authorization to $15000.00 in case of cost overrun. On March 14, my wife was asked to authorize an additional $800.00 for 50ft of fascia and fascia board which she signed. I don’t understand why this was not included in the estimate. Once the job was complete, my wife noticed several problems which were minor and were corrected including a rotten soffit which supported an external light. In repairing the light, the electrical wire was cut. Kennedy refused to repair the wire or provide and electrician to repair the wire and light. Once the replacement was done I inspected the replacement showing a soffit with 3 holes for the one light. I advised Kennedy this is unacceptable, and another attempt was made. However, in this attempt, the soffit was correct but raised the shingles on the edge of the roof pointing up at about a 35 degree angle. My wife noticed the problem and brought it to my attention. I contacted Kennedy and was assured a crew would be disbursed the next Monday and I should be home at 9am. Now the date is April, 8th . I was called at 9 and advised it may be 11, then a few hours later, and finally they would not be coming at all, but would come next week. Kennedy’s representative said they would come again the following Monday, April 15th. The representative showed up that day but insisted I sign an agreement to pay $1535.00 for fixing the problems they created along with 2 other soffits. Otherwise, the work would not be done. I still have one soffit repaired with pieces of wood stuck together with silicon. I dare not ask for proper repair. Adding insult to injury, during the day of the repair, the all Spanish speaking crew (I speak Spanish) let me know they were not being paid for their time because of the errors. Not only is Kennedy Construction Group incompetent, but they are corrupt in their practices, and I suspect their hiring practices.

Starting with the saleman Bob Stephens this was a great experience for me. Bob was attentive to my questions and needs, explained the Owens Corning Roofing system completely, and how it is one of the Top roofing systems in the country. Bob is the consumate professional and knowledgable about roofing. the Project Managers, Chip and Robert were great to work with. Robert was onsite everyday and answered all my many questions. Miguel the foreman on the job, was always ready to answer my questions and did his job like he was working on his own home. I highly recommend Kennedy. their pricing is competitive and they completed the job when they said they would. they are the experts in roofing and I have had to deal with many roofing companies owning my own Real Estate company. These folks are the BEST!.

We first hired this group to repair a leak on our lanai flat roof. It had been poorly repaired 5 years ago by another company. Kennedy installed an incline board, they removed an old skylight and then repaired the drywall on the inside. We had them also check a 30 year old skylight in the living room and decided to get a new hurricane resistant one and that was excellently installed. When we had them check the upstairs roof to see if that is where a black mold issue was in one bedroom, they were honest and said that that was not the problem and so we contracted others to fix that non-roof issue.

We signed a contract, had a specified date to begin work (9/4/18). Late on the Friday afternoon 8/31/18, I received a call from Kennedy that the price had increased @20%! I told them I could not pay that much and was asked to wait until Tues, 9/4/18, for a call from them to discuss this further. During that call, I said I was willing to negotiate and was told that instead that I would have to pay the entire increase. I refused. I was then told I would receive a call later that day to discuss return of my deposit. I have had one further contact with owner who said he would "Still like to work with me". I have not heard again from him for 2 wks. The contract requires the contractor to return my deposit within 14 days. I have not had any communication from them, no work has commenced and my deposit has not been returned. I have sent them a certified letter, a fax of the letter and an email with the letter. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in their lack of professionalism. I feel I am being held up by them. I cannot hire another contractor until they pull their permit and they owe me my deposit.

Worst experience ever. Poor estimate caused 50% increase in cost on day 1. Failed inspection, zero responsiveness. I had to call them when it failed. The crew left trash in yard, broke side yard gate and an antique chair in yard. No apologies. Management claims they will remedy the situation, but I will never have confidence in this roof.

They are very professional. They replaced the flat roof because of a roof leak. They came out when promised and did a fantastic job. The roof is still leaking- but they came out to investigate several times. They didn't stop until they found out what the problem was. The husband and wife duo found it. Thank you so much. It was NOT on the flat roof-entirely. It's on the metal part of our roof. But they didn't stop until they found out what it was. So on to another UNRELATED issue. I would recommend this company for their professionalism, great work, good communication and ethical values. Thank you Kennedy Construction. The date of service and cost are approximate.

They came out and explained everything and we upgraded items for wind mitigation. They did not take adequate pictures for my wind mitigation for my roof for the insurance company so I had to pay for someone to come out and take pictures. They did not get all the nails picked up and I stepped on one. They left a lean on the house during construction and when I went to refinance my house there was paper work I needed that was not ready. The office manager was snippy with me when I did call the office about the documents.

The quality of the tear off and installation of the new roof was well done. However when they applied the wrong cement color, the company kept denying there was an issue. As a whole, the company was difficult to deal with and communications were even worse. After a week of complaining and getting the tile manufacture involved, the cement was finally painted to match the tile. What further irritated us was the fact no one from the company bothered to come to the house to inspect the paint job nor did they call to ask if everything was completed to our satisfaction. Based on the issues we had when a problem arose, I would not use or recommend them to anyone else.
Had issues getting a hold of the company. When I initially called, I asked if they could do a next day repair (I literally had a hole in my roof after a lightning strike), and was told "Sure, no problem". Well, my "Next Day Repair" ended up being "We'll get someone out there in a week to put up a temporary tarp, and then we'll take 3 more weeks before we actually come out to do the repair".
When I contacted them on the phone to try and speed the process along, I was told that the supervisor for my job was in a meeting, and should be out "soon", and that he'd call me back. I called 3 hours later, and they were still in the meeting, and I was told "from the sounds of it, it is not pretty".
When they did actually show up to fix the roof, they hadn't ordered the plywood necessary to repair my roof, so the installer had to go to home depot to get some. However, the finished product seems to be a quality job, and they cleaned up well.
