Kenny Ephraim Roofing

I hope some people read this, so you don't have to go through what we went through with this company.... We had some shingles that had shifted on our roof. Several roofing companies left us fliers wanting our business to fix our roof. When we were approaching the time to move, we decided to get the roof looked at and fixed. We picked one of the companies from the fliers, trying to give a smaller business a chance. We chose Kenny Ephraim Roofing. I talked to Ken, who is a very pleasant guy to talk to. We wanted a few repairs done, our gutters cleaned, and some of the missing and shifted shingles replaced. His first price was $1,100. After I paused, he quickly stated that he'd take $900 if I could provide cash. I agreed, which I now know was a mistake. He did the work, we paid him, and he left. Well, two months later, we had the inspection on the house for the sale. The inspector noticed some missing shingles on the roof. So, of course, we called Ken to come take a look at it. He didn't return our call. I called a few more times. No response. Finally, I got him on the phone and he said he'd be over at a specific time. The time came and went and he didn't show up. So, in order to sell our house on time, we had to get another company to come fix the work that Ken and his company did. That cost us another $1,600. I spoke to Ken after and asked for a credit. His response was, "do you have anything in writing from me?". Essentially, I made a mistake. Going on price alone, we thought we had a good deal. But really, we didn't do our job in getting what he was going to do in writing. He saw our mistake, and he took advantage. The truth is, they barely did anything to our roof. They made it so you couldn't see the missing shingles from the ground, took our $900, and left. But our real mistake, was dealing with Ken to begin with. Lesson learned.

I first hired Kenny to come look at my roof and do some minor maintenance. Just purchased house and needed some shingles nailed down and general inspection of my roof. They did some minor fixes and told me I had about 5 more years until I needed another layer put on. While they were there we talked about some cracks in my concrete patio and railing edge. They quoted me & I thought about it and hired the next day. They came out performed the work as agreed upon. We inspected the work later that day and saw some cracking. Kenny came out the next day and did some touch ups. He told me if I saw anything call him up. We talked about some other concrete work I may do next year. I would hire again.

They were very professional in there abilities and attitude. I intend to hire them in the near future for siding and soffit work

Kenny, Alex, and Marcello arrived early to assess the damage to my garage roof. Kenny told me how long it would take them to do the job and how much it would cost. I agreed. They started work immediately and finished it in the estimated amount of time. They cleaned off the debris on the roof, discarded the damaged shingles and caps, and swept the debris from the alley in front of the garage. I was completely satisfied with the job and their professionalism.

The guys at KE roofing are top notch! I called them with a semi-emergency pertaining to some repairs that I needed done on my roof. I explained the time critical nature of my situation, and they were very responsive and willing to jump in. Not knowing exactly what my problem was, they came on site the next day to assess and decided it was work that could be done on the spot with what they had with them. They were VERY professional, respectful, and easy to work with. They finished their work (which was very high quality) in a matter of hours, and I have had no problems with the finished product. They will become my go-to guys for various external house projects (as they do more than just roofs). Thanks again KE!

Went well. They inspected and gave a report. They also did some repair on a cutter that needed caulk and adjustment. It hasn't rained since then so I can't say for sure if the repair worked yet but overall, I was happy with the service.

I was quite pleased with the requested work and the additional work performed that was needed. They even removed an old antenna free of charge. They were timely and need in making the necessary repairs. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others. The cost of $1,800 is only for the roof repair and gutter replacement (only one in the front that was damaged). The replacement blended in nicely with the existing gutters.

They inspected the roof, took photos and videos, and explained where my roof would need some isolated work. They also did not oversell as they told me that my roof still had at least five years of useful life. Went very well.

Kenny was great. I originally bought a coupon for just a roof inspection. Turns out I needed some repairs. Kenny was able to fit me in within a few days and get everything fixed. He took pictures and explained everything to me. Highly recommended.

Very Well. Kenny and his crew kept in touch over the weekend and despite the heavy rains, he reappointed to come out on a Sunday when the weather was clear. Kenny identified a number of problem areas in my roof shingling and used some leftover shingles I had to make the requisite repairs, he also reattached some sheetmetal fascia that the wind had blown off. Kenny was upfront and discussed all work to be performed with me before he started.

very professional, punctual, got things done quickly. The price though seemed very high for 1-1.5 hours of work for 3 men. No material was replaced, just patched. I was eager to get it done (very busy) so didn't collect estimates, but based on previous work the total cost seemed very high (had entire sections replaced before for less money).

Their appointment was for 9:30 am they arrived a 9:00. Good start. They introduce themselves had professional equipment and explained what they would do for the coupon price. I asked for a price on other work and I had a estimate within 15 minutes. We agreed on a price they got the materials they needed in less than a hour they started the work and finished. Will use again.

Kenny, Alex, and Marcello were wonderful. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. A job such as this involves some mess, but when they were done, I could hardly tell they had been there. They cleaned out every inch of my gutters, did nice work on the roof, and showed me pictures before and after of places I couldn't easily see from the ground. What a pleasure!
