Ken's Brick Repair

We signed a contract and he came the next day and worked for an hour an a half, so we payed him the $700 agreed on. He then disappeared for a month. Did a little more work and got another $700. Once we got a hold of him again, he said he had no money and supplies and needed money for more. We paid him $100, and it appears he used these materials for other jobs, as they disappeared without much more work being done, and only two bags of the nine making it here, refusing to leave rest in our shed. He's even using excuses like doctor's appointments and family obligations, he's hurt, workers hurt, no money, needs to finish other jobs, needs to get paid from other jobs, saying he'll show up and then he doesn't. It's always "Not today, maybe tomorrow or next week." He also told me he couldn't do work until his insurance was reinstated, as he had let it lapse. He's left a mess in our yard for eight and a half months and keeps asking for more money. He's now out of money to ask for. We were told the job would take five to six days, and is now about eight and a half MONTHS since it was started.

Ace's response to my initial call was immediate, coming the next day to provide a quote and starting work the following day. The quality of the brickwork is excellent, and since 3 guys were working on it, the work was done very quickly. I gave them a "B" for punctuality because on one day they came later in the afternoon rather in the morning as I was expecting, and one day they didn't show up. However, since all the work was outside and I didn't need to wait at home for them, it really wasn't an issue for me. I would recommend them. Their price was excellent (another quote I received was double of Ace's).

Less than 24 hours from first call to job complete. Couldn't be happier with the price. These guys did a great job, provided their own materials and tools, knew exactly what they were doing, and cleaned up after they were done. Everything I expect from a contractor coming into my home. Finished work looks exactly like the rest of the house. Quoted price was spot on actual cost. Only issue was they showed up several hours after the appointment time.

Very responsive. Owner supervised two helpers and participated in project. Kept me well-informed.

Great work. These guys are really good. They matched the old brick perfectly. Would use them again and highly recommended.

Large crack appeared over the eave of the house, probably due to the natural settling. Had a structural engineer come out and he said it was not a foundation problem. Called one brick repair and it was going to be several days before they could get out and even give me an estimate. Called Ace and they were out that morning, gave me an estimate (which I considered to be a fair price), and had it done by that afternoon. Beautiful job. Can't even tell there has been a repair.

I called him and he came right out that day. He did the work the same day and was very quick. He had a reasonable price.
