I have used Kephart Handyman Services for several years. They have installed exterior lighting, power vents on our roof, repaired/replaced exterior wood that was rotted, replaced damaged fascia and soffetts, and painted the exterior of our house. Barry's brother Bill installed a PlexiDor through-the-wall dog door; he and the rest of the crew appear to take pride in their work. They are all kind and respectful. I like and trust them all. Barry prepares the estimates and schedules the work. While the work was in progress Barry came by our house almost everyday to insure the timeliness and quality of the work. If I ask Barry a question that he doesn't know the answer to he doesn't blow smoke; instead he says he doesn't know but will find the answer and get back to me. I feel I can trust someone like that. Barry is a pleasure to deal with. I hope they stay in business for a long time. I recommend Kephart Handyman Services with out hesitation

I reached out to multiple contractors to evaluate and propose a solution for a complex structural problem related to my garage. Specifically, a main structural beam on my covered patio was not properly secured to the structure of the garage. Poor workmanship by a previous contractor had led to leaks in the roof above the beam resulting in rot of the wood framing underneath which eventually led to the failure of the connection between the beam and the framing members in the garage. The beam dropped several inches and damaged the siding and trim on the garage. I called Kephart Handyman after reading their reviews on Angie's List. Barry promptly replied to my inquiry and came to my home to evaluate the problem. After taking some pictures he came back to me quickly with a proposal. There was some uncertainty on what would actually need to be done depending on what his team found when they removed some of the damaged wood. In the end, Barry's team removed and replaced all of the damaged structural framing, roof decking and shingles and added a new support column for the beam. They wrapped the beam to match others on our patio. The quality of their workmanship was very good and the team cleaned up as they did their work. In the end, the job took five days instead of the quoted three days and involved unplanned removal and repair of drywall inside the garage. Barry stood by his estimate and did not charge extra for the added time it took to make the repairs. Overall, I was very satisfied with their work and their ability to find a solution to this complex repair. I would definitely hire Kephart Handyman again and would recommend them to others looking for a professional handyman service. David in Katy

First off, this company was great as to responsiveness and bidding the job. Then they were able to schedule the work to begin quickly and showed up as promised. Approached the work with professionalism and skill and completed all work to my satisfaction. I will call these people each and every time I need something done with my home or business.

The work done by Bill (other owner) and Angel on the initial contract was phenomenal in all aspects: highly professional and trustworthy, excellent quality of work, efficiency of highest standard, and the pricing of labor and materials reasonable beyond expectations! Throughout Hurricane Harvey, Barry reached out as my sister lived in a flooded area. For example, when the garage door was impacted, he arranged to have it fixed for her ASAP and at a very low cost! In addition Barry continues to regularly provide service to my sister even with such minor updates as changing a bulb. I do not want to even imagine my sister being without the Kephart Handyman Company and in turn highly recommend their services to anyone who wants "only the best" in their lives and home.

It went very well. They came over first to see what I wanted in the master bathroom. They went and purchased the toilet and returned and put in the new one and took away the old one. They were very friendly and explained everything to me. I was surprised how quickly it was replaced. They did not leave a mess -- cleaned up after themselves and took away all the boxes and old toilet. I felt very comfortable with the gentlemen in my house and will definitely hire them again for other remodeling projects around the house.

Kephart Handyman did extremely well! definitely surpassed my expectations of any handyman service! They did the work we hired them for, and then even completed a few extra projects around the property for me! They were quick, efficient, and extremely courteous. By far the best customer service I have gotten anywhere in an extremely long time! Barry and his brother Bill are amazing and I will be recommending them to anyone in need of a handyman, or cleaning services.

They arrived on time and got right to work. One left to purchase supplies needed and the other began taking apart some trim to get to the hardy plank. They did a great job. All seams were caulked and ready to paint. There was a corner broken out of a piece that was staying, but they put something behind it to seal the garage and caulked it also. The hardy plank was brittle. I intend to hire them again to paint.
