I got two quotes from to locksmiths from Angie’s List. Joseph lowballed his quote at $12 per lock to rekeying. But changed the price when he arrived at my home to $39 per lock because he said my locks were a different kithey were a “different kind of lock”. Really! I chose to go through Angie’s List to avoid this type of bait & switch operation! I just had him do two locks for a total cost of $100 for two locks, instead of $60 for five locks ask quoted by Joseph. Wow!

Because it was sunday, and probably because it was during a football game, I had a heck of a time finding a locksmith. Most locksmiths were either unavailable or would take 2-3 hours before getting to me. Key Kong was available. They arrived before they estimated. The guy was incredibly professional and super fast.

I spoke to Chris in the morning and was able to set up an appointment for later that same day. (He arrived a little early, which was better for me.) I originally requested to have the locks changed. Upon inspection, he determined it would be less expensive to rekey the locks (about 6 of them). I also had him change three double keyed entry locks to the deadbolt locks. He went ahead and removed three latches for me and fixed the alignment on some of the doors for me. I didn't have the opportunity to price shop as I was only available that day, but the cost seems reasonable to me considering all the work done.

I called key kong locksmith to Re-key the locks on my home. The locksmith arrived promptly and was very knowledgeable and friendly . While he was doing the job , I found out that my son lost his car key, and luckily this locksmith provide automotive services as well so we hired him for that too. The price for both services was very good and I would definitely hire them again.
