They were not good and I think they have closed their doors. I would never use them again under any circumstances. I referred him to a friend that had a bigger job and they also had an issue with that.

They were very professional and timely. They did a very good job and they are very good with communication. I would highly recommend them. Stuart was a pro.

Overall we were very pleased. The only issue was some miscommunication as to when the entire project would be communicated. <br />

I worked directly with Stuart Cummings, the owner of the company.  Stuart made two visits to the site to develop the cost estimate.  It was obvious where some of the bulkhead had failed, but Stuart was very clear that he could not assess the full deterioration until his crew started digging.  Some of the area adjacent to the bulkhead was covered by a deck as well.  He provided a cost estimate with unit rates for any additional damage they found upon digging.  He also provided an hourly rate for any obstructions they found, like cement, underground.   <br /> Stuart proposed hand digging around the bulkhead to avoid damaging the bulkhead and boat house.    <br /> Stuart's crew was able to start the work within a day of my acceptance of the bid.   They did find additional damage and a cement plug that a previous owner had used to try to repair the bulkhead.  Stuart called me and met me at the job to explain what they had found.  The repair was to use "gently used" boards to backup the existing bulkhead.  Stuart did not have enough of those and used new boards, at no additional cost to me.  The bulkhead repair was performed as planned. <br /> The drain system installation took longer than expected as the crew had some issues working the drain around some conduit and tieback cables.  Upon completion, I was not entirely satisfied with how the drain looked and called Stuart about it.  He and his crew supervisor responded immediately and came out the next day to adjust the drain lines.   <br /> I was very satisfied with the bulkhead repair and drain line.  Stuart and his crew met every time and work commitment they made.  He had clearly defined the potential for increased costs before the work was started and all costs were as described.  While there was an issue with the drain installation, Stuart responded immediately to address my concerns.   His responsiveness to all my questions and concerns far outweigh the minor glitch with the drain.   <br /> Key Largo also provided an estimate to coat the boat house decks with a non skid paint material.  I am still considering that work.   <br /> I highly recommend Key Largo and would use them on any future work of this kind.   <br /> <br /> <br />

I used Keylargo to install a new bulkhead, build a new dock, Deck-Kote property grading and sod. <br /> Stewart was very involved in the overall project from start to finish and was very through with the estimate and the terms. <br /> He came out on weekends to review the progress with me and was always going above and beyond. The craftsmanship is some of the best i have seen in a long time. Being in the construction business i appreciate great craftsmanship. Stuart was always making sure that everything was get taken care of and and done properly. If he did not like it he would go the extra mile and have his crew redo it. He even made sure my neighbor was aware of any work near or on his property. The neighbor even hired Stewart to do some work for him. After a heavy rain we noticed some erosion and he had Emerson come out the next day to take care it issue. After the project was complete i notice that Stuart install boat bumpers on my dock that was not part of the project. <br /> I will use Key Largo on my next project. <br /> <br />

No problem with company.  They first looked at the problem then emailed me an estimate.  Once approved, company completed work within one week. <br />

Bulkhead and boat slip finished on time. March 1st. one month later I had a blow out. took two months to get repairs done. <br /> In june we had another blow out of the bulkhead. to this day I cannot get it repaired. He uses our picture in his web page. <br /> Looks great after he finished but you should see it now. I just finished building my home and am unable to do any landscaping <br /> because of the washout from the bulkhead. My POA in Wildwood shores is sending me notice that I need to get my bulkhead fixed. He will not answer the phone when I call. He will only text me. He will tell me it will be in two weeks, but two weeks goes by and no workers ever show. It has now been six months since my bulkhead blew out. I just went to a lawyer today. Dec 27 2012.If I can figure out how to post pictures I will. The picture he is posting is the one with the double boat slip and bulkhead. <br />

Everything went extremely well regarding the bulkhead repair. I especially appreciate the quick response I always get from Key Largo. Whenever I call them they are either there the same day or at the latest the next day. Key Largo dug out the sink hole to see where the leak was and quickly determined it was in the side wall at the end of the bulkhead. They added an additional wall next to the side wall which sealed the leak. It was not clear to me where the leak was, given the circumstances but they assured me this was the location and it was fixed. It is now 2 months later that I am writing this review and they are correct; the leak has been fixed and everything is holding well. It is always a pleasure working with Key Largo, for their promptness, expertise and customer service. Living on Lake Conroe, it is not always very easy to get someone out to help with problems that arise, until I found Key Largo where now I'm confident they will come quickly and be able to fix any problem.

Their carpentry work was excellent.......everything was sturdy and had a professional look. The Encore filled in 90% of the cracks in the wood and produced a thick, non skid surface which is suppose to protect the wood for allot longer that just stain. I would recommend Key Largo and am very happy with the work they performed.

Highly recommend Key Largo Construction - owner Stewart Cummings.  Key Largo recently completed three construction jobs for us.  They responded quickly, efficiently and at a very reasonable cost. Each job was completed on-time and on-budget to our satisfaction.  Workers were courteous and knowledgeable and Stewart checked on their progress daily.  He inspected their work at the end of the project and made sure our expectations were met.  <br /> We have found Stewart's estimates and final billing to be very reasonable and accurate. My wife and I highly recommend Key Largo Construction.  We will continue to call Key Largo for future projects and will recommend him to our friends. <br />

THIS IN PARTICULAR IMPRESSED US WITH KEY LARGO AND WE WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR SIMILAR WORK IN THE FUTURE.  <br />

Key Largo tore out our bulkhead, boat dock and boat slips.  We originally contracted with them for just the bulkhead, but they did such a superior job that we decided to have them tear out our decking and boat slips and build all new.  Stewart, the owner, is extremely professional, and has remained in contact with us to make sure that we are still happy with the jobs and if we are having any problems.  We are not.  Everything they did was great, on time, and built to our specs. Key Largo specializes in boat houses, boat lifts, bulkheads (vinyl and wood), pilings, piers, and custom decks.  We would use him again any time.  I have recommended him to other coworkers, and have been pleased.
