Let me provide you my overall experience with this Contractor (Josh Kloos) so that you know what you are getting into if you still decide to hire for his services after reading my review. I hired this guy from this site in March to built new deck. We signed our contract and according to his contract (labor and material) I gave him $4423.55 as mentioned in contract 25% deposit. We had a timeline provided by him to built deck mid June. During march and may he had send messages stating our materials has been ordered. I reached out to him few times in June and he mentioned he is going to stop over to drop the materials, which never happened. Then he mentioned that due to other projects he was not able to deliver materials. At some point after he lapse the deadline of building the deck June 14th thru 18th he texted me on June 24th that he will start sub structure on Monday June 28th. (Yes, I remember all this dates because I have all the text as proof from him). Then on 28th June he texted me that they are going to change how they do projects. I need to buy materials and he will provide labor. Now as you can see he was lying all this time since march that he is acquiring materials. Because of his lies over the time, I was not comfortable with him at all to retain him. I asked him on June 28th to refund my money. He has given me so many dates that the funds will be deposited back to my account and as of today August 14th he still has my money. I also hired a lawyer and they had sent him demand note to refund my money, but he didnâ t. Also in one of his textâ s he threatened me that if I go to small claims court it will take me x number of months to get my money. Obviously he is very well aware of the process as it must have happened with him with other clients. How unethical it is to keep someoneâ s money for months, and why it is not punishable by law. Anyways, I certainly am taking him to small claims court, and he is going to pay legal fees. He is a compulsive lier.

I hired KG Contracting to paint my home. Josh, the owner, was great at communicating and he was on site to help with and oversee the project. They did prepare the house and came back in a few days and painted it. They are easy to work with and care about satisfying the customer. We talked about the project up front and then later walked around the home to ensure all the areas we agreed would be painted met my expectations. Over 2 months of trying to get a few quotes I ended up with 4 exterior home painting quotes. KG Contracting was not as expensive as some of the higher end painting outfits but I mainly chose this company because I trusted I could communicate with Josh and he would be responsive. I am amazed at how many contracts just donâ t show up or respond to calls or emails. I am very pleased with having KC Contracting paint my home and I would certainly use them again and recommend them.
