After much research and going through 3 other bids, I chose Kieran Brothers. The reviews were all glowing and my contact with Danny in Sales and Kim the office manager was stellar.
Once the demolition of the bathroom started it went down hill instantly. The wrong materials were ordered, installations had to be torn out and redone several times and they were missing in action for weeks at a time. Over the course of 10 weeks I had to write 3 detailed letters outlining the corrections that were needed and then follow up with text messages and phone calls. The one positive thing is Olga and Jim, the owners, did respond to each of my letters.
Then one day I got a phone call from Danny in sales telling me they were out of business! In retrospect I'm glad I hounded them so much because I got most of the work done. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because most of the work has been done, but now what? Who will finish the job and what about the 5 year warranty.....
After doing a little more research, evidently claiming bankruptcy is part of their MO. I wouldn't wish this on anyone......
The start of the job went well with the estimate, ordering cabinets, etc. The first week of work went well with the demolition. Then in the 2nd week and onward they would not show up daily and when someone came it was for 3 or 4 hours only. This became bothersome. Difficulties noted: they had a serious labor problem with people quitting and doing the work incorrectly. The back splash tile had to be redone 3 times, their shower door contracted company installed bathtub doors incorrectly and they had to be redone, the painting had to be redone as the wood surfaces were not scraped prior to painting. I only got prompt service when I became demanding that the job was done correctly, wouldn't take their excuses, and send daily letters to the the owner and foreman with punch list items. Unfortunately, I had to take off work to supervise the end of the project. The job took 6 weeks longer than estimated. Excellence noted: the electrician was superb, the plumber excellent, and Joe fixed tile that needed to be redone. The contractor was responsive but clearly juggling too many projects with griping customers. The house looks beautiful, but after 3 months post-completion, some concerns appear - grout is cracking or coming out on some areas and paint touch ups are needed in several areas. I think the owners and foremen have good intentions, but the the company has a serious labor problem and they have too many jobs they juggle. Would advise hiring someone else to do your remodeling who has a stable work crew, will adhere to the schedule, and does quality work the first time.
Everything was going well until the project was 80% completed. I did have to push for communications, but nothing out of the ordinary. Until Monday, 10/25/15, I thought we were on schedule. It was that morning that I found out that Kieran Brothers closed their doors over the weekend. They are filing for bankruptcy.
I hired Kieran Brothers because of the high reviews on Angie's List. I want to point out that Angie's List could have never known that Kieran was not doing well financially. I wanted to post this as a warning to the rest of Angie's customers that you need to look at more than just the reviews. Talk to the provider about their financial future, too.
They were extremely cordial and nice people to work with. They completed the demolition portion of the project but that's it. ?I got a call from them saying they would not be able to complete what they started because they are in financial trouble. ?They are refusing to return the money we have paid them and said it was up to the court. I asked for specifics of what my money paid for, and they explained my money just went into a fund for the project and didn't really pay for anything specific.

So far I have paid them $7311.93. I have a glass enclosure for my shower that was supposed to be installed. The cost of the glass was $1650. The glass was supposed to be installed on the 21st. They were also supposed to complete painting the bathroom and hang some cabinets. That work was scheduled to be completed today, Monday 10/19/15. When no one came to complete the work I was unable to reach Kieran Brothers. I called the super intendant, of my project, and he said that Kieran Brothers was out of work. He said that he had his men ready to go to my job but was told over the weekend , by one of the owners, that Kieran Brothers was out of business. I immediately called the glass company and was told they received notification from Kieran Brothers that morning, they were going out of business. I asked how could I get my shower glass enclosure install and they said I had to pay $1053.41, the amount Kieran owned them for the glass enclosure. I paid Clayton Glass the $1053.41 and they installed my glass shower enclosure on October 22,2010. I hired a man to finishing the painting and hang the cabinets in the bathroom for $125 and the bathroom remodel was completed. I have since tried to contact Kieran and left voice messages several times, and have not received a reply. Since I paid the additional money, hired a person to complete the painting and hanging cabinets, my project is completed. Kieran Brothers owes me $734.35, the amount of additional money I have paid to get my Bathroom Remodel completed.

Both of my bathrooms were remodeled by Kieran Brothers. I also had work done in the laundry room as well. All of the different work crews were highly qualified and very efficient. There were four standouts during the time that Kieran Brothers did their work at my house. Danny - he was my initial contact and helped with design and material selection. He was very thorough in his work with me, and the computer program he used to show what my choices would look like in my bathrooms was very helpful. Tony - he was the foreman over all of the different work crews (demo crews, plumbers, electricians, drywall workers, tile installers). He was always accessible, was quick to respond and kept me informed about what was going to be done and about what time the different jobs would begin. I found him to be very respectful and courteous throughout the whole time. Matt and Joe - they did the tile work in the bathrooms as well as other work that needed to be taken care of. Very careful, thorough and precise in their tile work - expertly done! They showed the same professional workmanship in the other things they did as well.
I would definitely work with Kieran Brothers again!

It went very well. They are a great group of people to work with. First contractor to ask what our price point was!!! Very professional and responsive to questions and concerns. The salesman, job supervisor and scheduler all came to the house a few days before the work began to see what we wanted done and make sure we were all on the same page. The supervisor came out to view each stage of the job and was very particular. The actual floor installation was done by European Floors who were also very professional and once again the supervisor came out. They also did some minor tile installation for us as well.
It was so nice to work with people who showed up on the right day and time with the right equipment who did not have to be phoned every day in order to meet a deadline.
While the floor was being installed a lady who was driving by stopped to ask if she could see the floor. She was so impressed she asked for a business card as they were redoing a kitchen floor. Nice to generate some new business for a super company. We plan to use them again. They get an H for honors rating from us.

We started Feb 26. I had planned a basic remodel. My big splurge was to be granite counter tops which I bought from them and shower rebuilds. But my microwave had died and my bathtub was backing up for 3 weeks. My sower was leaking into the kitchen too. Drano no longer worked. The back up messed up my tub, tile and walls. So Nathan recommended to tear out the tub and pipes based on the drainage issue and we went shopping. I told them to stick to my budget since I was not sure what problems my old house would have. But I picked out the fixtures and new appliances.

I was not prepared for the pipe damage but they listened to me, when I agreed to have the pipes replaced and suggested the shortest route in the house. Thankfully my baths and kitchen are interconnected. Within a week they tore up the foundation and the next week replaced the pipes and plastered the floors. At 4 weeks they did the new floors. At five weeks the plastering and painting for new walls. At five weeks the new cabinets went in while the bathroom showers were completed. Several times they went beyond the contract and painted the hall, repaired plaster in the living room, installed hosing for the ice maker, towel racks in the bathrooms, shower rod, and extra cabinet in the family bath with no additional charge. Now they are finishing the final details, so it will be easy for me to put in a backsplash, under cabinet lighting and new curtains myself.

I have a lot of trust that they will the job well. If I have any feedback, they listen to me. If I am not happy, they work to fix the issues. I picked out the cabinet colors, tile, and countertops from their showroom. I am really happy with the quality of the work.

From the first moment I met with Keiran Brothers, everything was very professional and communication was excellent. The owners stopped by several times to look in on the project and talk to us about options for our project. Our entire project was done in a timely manner and came in under budget! After trying to contact several other re-modelers who were not interested in a smaller project, I am very happy that we found Keiran brothers! We will use them again for sure on our next bathroom remodel. A+!!!!!
I researched numerous K&B contractors in the general Phoenix area and found Kieran Brothers. They had excellent ratings and reviews by people who had hired them for either small or major remodeling projects. I found them to be very easy to do business with; no pressure, but extremely knowledgeable and willing to spend the upfront time with me to plan a design that met all my requirements. I also got a quote from a big box store's kitchen design service. Since both companies were in the same ballpark for pricing, I decided to go with the independently owned business whose life's work is K&B remodeling.
The actual work was started in January and completed within six weeks. The two key people I dealt with were Patrick (one of the owners) who patiently worked with me on the design of both K& B as well as selecting all the materials, fixtures etc. - and Nate who was an outstanding project manager. Nate kept me up to date on each aspect of the work and helped me with some last minute items I decided to add to the project. All of the trades people were extremely professional and polite, taking care not to disrupt our living areas any more than necessary and cleaning up their work area at the end of each day. I received daily calls from Kim in the home office as to who I could expect the following day at my home. The name of the person(s), what time they would arrive and what type of work they would be performing.
The work was completed within the time frame and budget quoted. I am very excited about the our new kitchen and master bath!
I would definitely recommend Kieran Brothers for K&B projects.
