Our experience with Kitchen and Bath World was excellent; we are completely satisfied. We had two full bathrooms completely re-done as well as new kitchen counter tops and laminate flooring installed. Emily LaRose, the designer, is the consummate professional designer. She has a firm grasp of design concepts and gave us functional and beautiful designs. She is a skillful communicator, equally strong at explaining choices and listening to and addressing our concerns or preferences. Emily kept the projects on track and made herself available for our questions. Our initial choice for laminate flooring for the kitchen was discontinued by the manufacturer. Emily immediately contacted us, and we met. She presented other recommended choices that would work with our counter top choice and existing cabinetry. We ended up with beautiful flooring and an on-schedule installation. Emily visited our home throughout the projects and always answered our phone calls and emails promptly. She was extremely helpful and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Further, all the other Kitchen and Bath World staff we met were very helpful, and we felt completely comfortable having them in our home. Greg, the lead installer, has an outstanding work ethic and outstanding construction / remodeling skills. Greg did meticulous work, and our home was always left in pristine condition at the end of the day. We will be recommending Kitchen and Bath World to our family and friends!

We visited Kitchen & Bath World of Albany, NY in May of 2017 as we were planning to remodel our kitchen. We met designer Emily LaRose and she was professional and welcoming. After meeting with Emily we decided to have her come to our home to take measurements and provide a design. Emily visited our home and again was very personable and professional. We visited the design center one more time to review Emily's design. The renderings were detailed and professional. We decided layout was to our liking and we would go forward with the design. As we had also planned on installing hardwood flooring prior to the kitchen remodel we asked Emily to include flooring in the design quote. When the quote was complete we met with Emily again to go over the numbers. At our next meeting we reviewed the quote and the portion for the flooring was quoted at almost $25,000.00. We were very shocked as I knew that price was far above what approximately 1000SF of moderately priced oak flooring would cost installed. We declined that offer and contracted with another local company that installed the floor for less than half that price. I will add the floor is beautiful and properly installed without a space or squeak even in this dry month of February. You'll see why I mention that shortly. At this point we should have said no to the entire project, thanked Emily for her time and left. Needless to say we contracted to have them install our new kitchen, agreed on a start window and paid a deposit. Before proceeding I'll state now that we love the design and everyone who has seen it likes it as well. Also in order to meet our budget we would handle the demo of the existing kitchen, electrical and plumbing preparations. For Kitchen and Bath World this would be an easy remodel in place project. We were given a start window between August 14 and September 4, 2017. August 14 came and went without a call from KBW. I waited a few days then called them. Of course I was given the spiel about we gave you a start date range. What I didn’t expect was the condescending tone and the feeling that I was being a bother. The relationship did not improve from there. During the installation of the cabinets I noticed quite a few of the miter joints on the doors had gaps. When I pointed this out they said it was because wood is a natural product. After some discussion they agreed to replace the doors. When I noticed another door warped the same discussion took place and I needed to insist it be replaced. I will also note in the very beginning our design consultant said she would come visit and check on how things were going. Once we paid our deposit we never saw her again. I had an occasion to contact them again in January of 2018. I emailed the design consultant with a picture of the crown molding installed at the top of the cabinets separating and drooping in one corner. As was typical I did not hear back and needed to call. They are trying to tell me it has seperated due to the dry weather. Remember my comment about the hardwood floor? The floor was installed in August during one of the most humid times year. Presently the floor has no squeaks or gaps due to the dry February weather. This is not a gap due to dryness. It is due to poor workmanship. They told me if they come now to fix it and it separates again they will charge me for another visit. She told me call back in May. I fixed it myself. A couple of pin nails is all it took. In my experience Kitchen and Bath World does not care about it’s customers. Once they have your money they’ll do everything possible to finish the job without concern of customer satisfaction. It’s really too bad as I would have recommended them to two friends as well as considered them for our master bath remodel.
Response from Kitchen and Bath World Inc
"It is always our goal at Kitchen and Bath World to leave our customers satisfied with their new space, as well as feeling they received the best possible customer service. If in any [Member Information Removed] we fell short, I apologize. I do believe that ultimately, KBW did achieve a successful installation and I hope you will enjoy it for many years to come. I would like to address some of the issues mentioned in your review and clarify them more thoroughly: I am aware the floor quote may have seemed more expensive than a professional who installs flooring only, on a full-time basis. We specialize in many phases of construction and installation but the quote we provide is all encompassing of the entire work to be done (i.e.: ripping out old flooring, disposing of it, including all rough materials, preparing the sub floor, new baseboard trims, thus installing the complete end product.) I also cannot comment on the quality or type of flooring you received in comparison to my quote, as that information has not be provided to me. We did try to move your project forward and we contacted you at the end of July to try to move your project ahead of schedule, however you had declined. Per your request, we began your project after the Labor Day Holiday. One of the other designers here at KBW was able to reach out to one of her clients and pulled them ahead and we placed your project in their slot to accommodate your request. Construction is not an exact science and we always ask for flexibility on start dates whether it will be a week or two prior to the anticipated start time to a week or two after. It is policy for us to address that at time of sale. We are a unique company, in that we do not utilize sub-contractors. We have eight teams of installers who are part of the Kitchen and Bath World team and we keep them installing all year round. Therefore, it is extremely important we have flexibility in start times as we will give each customer the same consideration to complete their project before beginning any new projects. Unfortunately, there were some doors that needed to be replaced by the manufacture. We agreed that they were not up to our standards, and ordered replacements promptly. While we always strive for perfection the first time, sometimes there are touch-ups that need to occur after the fact. I do apologize for not stating in the beginning of the project that when I visit jobsites the timing may vary due to the installation schedule. I did visit the job site two times, however, our schedules must not have aligned, as I did not see you there. It was a quick installation project as you have mentioned and only required a couple visits to go over the plans with our installers. I should have reached out to you to let you know that I was planning a visit ahead of time. Regarding the fact that wood moves due to expansion and contraction and changes in humidity in our climates is very true, unfortunately. The fact that the wood floor has not moved probably is due the fact that it is a different type of wood, oak compared to the solid maple that is your crown molding. Wood is a natural material and can have varying moisture contents. That being said, I should have more eloquently explained our suggested service procedure when dealing with expansion and contraction. Of course a service free of charge was in order to remedy the problem. We do prefer, but not require, to do this type of service in-between seasons when the relative humidity is closer to a year-round average. This often prevents it from being an ongoing problem. I only hope that you continue to enjoy your beautiful new kitchen. I would like to reiterate that should you have ANY questions or concerns, to not hesitate to contact us for any reason. Thank you for your feedback as all reviews assist us in striving to create to ultimate customer experience. Regards, Emily Larose Kitchen & Bath World"

Beautiful showroom, great help with design, on time delivery, and excellent installers! Did a total kitchen redo and looks beautiful! All questions or concerns answered and handled right away and the installers were always early or on time, and very unobtrusive, neat and polite. Project finished ahead of time and we would use KBW again in a heartbeat. One issue was receipt of a damaged cabinet which they rectified right away and are replacing. Thanks Sara, Jim, Ed and Matt!

The work was shoddy, with trim constantly falling off. My kitchen sink cracked, and they say I'm on my own. They do not stand behind their work, and have been no help with repairs. Before the sale, they can't do enough for you. Afterwards, they don't remember your name. Stay away!!
Response from Kitchen and Bath World Inc
"Mr. [Member Name Removed] purchased from us on [Member Information Removed]/29/2003, nearly 14 years ago. His purchase included a solid surface counter with integrated sink. Several days ago Mr. [Member Name Removed] contacted Kitchen & Bath World to inquire about repair of his cracked sink. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the product manufacturer has gone out of business and the material no longer available. In addition, photos were provided of the crack. In the photos it is abundantly clear the a garbage disposal was recently installed and the screw securing it was drilled through the sink, hence causing the crack. Since KBW is not a solid surface fabricator it was suggested that Mr. [Member Name Removed] contact a fabricator directly and suggestions were provided as a courtesy. Of course, KBW always tries to accommodate clients whenever possible, even as in this case when the warranty has expired and the damage that occurred was NOT due to KBW . Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of the product no longer in existence, there was nothing KBW could have done to accommodate the homeowner. To address the concern of the cabinet trim, I do not have any records of an issue or request for service, however since KBW does stand by its' workmanship, we would be happy re-secure any molding that may be an issue."

They were terrible. We had an issue where the tile in the master shower is peeling. Tile shouldn't peel. I spent a lot of money. It was partly the sales woman, her name is Sara Bouvier. I don't have any idea where to begin, I need help. My daughters could see that she just wasn't ....... I got a new faucet, sink counter top, back splash. With my master bathroom, it took too long. The guy on the job was brand new. I wanted something more than squares, like maybe diamonds, but he was so new. He lost his job. They had to redo the floor in my shower, because the pitch wasn't right. It was flowing onto the floor. There are 2 Justins, Justin 1 and Justin 2 and Justin 2 is the one that corrected it.

I had all new shower stall put into the girl's bathroom, all new tub and the tile, I like it, it looks good. So when the guy that was putting the tub in, he said I'm gonna tell you something, this is not gonna look good, the existing tile you have. She should have said something, the sales woman because the original tile I had, it's a Merina built home, because my other tub came out further. That part of the tile was chipped which you couldn't see it with the original tub. So I had to have new tile.

Then the bathroom sink, one of the guys chipped the original, we have dual sinks with the quartz counter tops. We were going to keep the original cabinets and he chipped the wood. Then he tried to say it was one of my girls.

It was horrible. I'll never use them again. It took a while also. I ordered an island because I like to cook, it's a Medallion island. I wanted Antique white. It didn't look like antique, I paid extra and it was white and it wasn't level. So they sent it back. I got another one. Then, I have wood floors, and the guys dragged the new one to put it in place. I said you just scratched my floor. I had to take pictures of it, my sons an attorney, because she wasn't going to come out and fix my floor. I think this was the third island, she really gave me a hard time. But since he's an attorney, he told me how to do it. I won on that one.

They were here early like 8 o'clock. They were on time. I had a man look at my master shower and I have extra tiles, but he said wow, the tiles are not lined up right and the pitch is not right and he doesn't know if he can get them to line up right.

This is the second job we used this company for and they were again excellent. We had a decaying, out-of-date bathroom and Kitchen and Bath World completely gutted and replaced it. Sara was a big help in helping us to choose new stylistic and space-saving features, and Mike, who did all the work, was again the consummate professional. If more were like him, no one would ever complain about their contractor. I recommend this company without reservation.
Every room has flaws. faucets were not properly placed, so drain stops don't function properly, kitchen cabinets doors don't close uniformly, pot lites are centered in ceiling panels, both toilet seats are defective, shower pipe was defective causing leakage in new wall and the bathroom door was shimmed at the top and the the piece was glued back on in hopes I wouldn't notice.

Driving around Albany, Ny, we passed Kitchen and Bath World and dropped in to see the displays. It was our first time there. We met a designer named Emily LaRose and spoke with her about our vision to restore an old home. Emily immediately understood that vision. She was full of ideas and always so positive. Through months of planning, selections, ordering, and installing, the entire KBW staff has assisted, cheered, and accompanied us. This was the best remodel experience we have ever had.
The entire project was huge and required professionals who would carry the vision through to completion. KBW, especially our designer, Emily LaRose more than fulfilled that requirement.
My old bathroom was in bad shape and really needed a fix. I worked with Jessica, who asked me questions about what I wanted, and then she came up with a computer generated design which gave me a really good idea of what the finished project would look like. After that we selected the fixtures and hardware and they order everything for you.
In this remodel, the bathroom was stripped to the studs and completely redone. The materials used were high quality and all the prep work for the walls and floor were done very well. Chad did most of the work and especially the tile work and he does a great job. The finished product looks fantastic - like a spa. I had them install a heated towel rack and a heated floor, which upped the price of the remodel.
stimate was detailed, and accurate. The experience with Kitchen and Bath World was excellent. We met with four companies that did this work. K&B was not the cheapest but fit in our budget. Micheal was excellent at designing the project and helped us select fixtures. The presentation was detailed and accurate. Financial terms were spelled out. Everything went according to plan. Michael and the owner came to check on the progress frequently. We are more than satisfied with the final results and have received many compliments. Three years later, I am still in aw as to how the family room and bath rooms look. This company took out dated rooms and made them modern and beautiful.
We were very happy with Kitchen and Bath World. As first time homeowners, we were intimidated by all the decisions we had to make, but they made it easy. Work started and finished promptly, and there were no surprises with the cost. Sara, the designer, was great throughout the whole process; she came up with ideas to maximize space and visual appeal (without pushing for the most expensive options) that we would never thought of on our own. Mike Church's skill, professionalism and work ethic was impressive; everything looks great. Hope these guys are still there when we get our kitchen and other bathroom done. I recommend them without reservation.
We contacted this company on referral from a neighbor and because they had a big showroom.
At first, we were apprehensive, because the price was over our budget. We now believe that no one could better have
provided us with the basement of our dreams.
Phil MaQuire and his team took our dark and musty basement and turned it into the family's favorite entertainment area.
We now have a new bedroom, bathroom, workout room and IMAX like theater with a wall to wall screen and two seating levels.
(this is our favorite).
their workers were prompt, professional and did beautiful work. They also cleaned up every day. they also did everything and we did not have to hire anyone else.
We really love the way it turned out.

Phil was a great help in the design of our new kitchen. He took our ideas and implemented them into a design that met all of our requirements and exceeded our expectations. He was involved in everything from start to finish and was available if we had any issues. When construction began the crew showed up when scheduled and were on time each and every day. The employees were very approachable and willing to make any changes that were needed. They took care of any problems they came across. The finished project was done on time and looked perfect. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to do a kitchen remodel project. We intend to hire them again to do our bathroom in the near future.

Kitchen and Bath World did a wonderful job. Their professionalism, attention to detail, craftsmenship, and cleanliness can not be surpassed because they performed flawlessly in all respects. Durign the initial design process they were respectful of our tastes and desires as well as our budget. They walked through the selction process for tiles, fixtures, etc. with patience and contributed great ideas while providing alternatives for us to consider (never trying to up sell). Installation team was supported by many people behind the scenes to keep them properly supplied with materials so that schedule was maintained. Installation crew were true craftsmen highly skilled at their trade. They were also respectful of our home, laying tarps in rooms and halls they needed to pass through as well as cleaning up at the end of each day. We would (and have) recommended Kitchen and Bath World to our friends and family. There is no one better!

Project turned out all right in the end, but required us to provide constant oversight. The carpenter handling the project had difficulty sequencing tasks, and foreman was spread too thin to give much direction. To their credit, they did re-do items that were unsatisfactory, but there were too many times when that was necessary. This firm does offer design, material and installation under one roof, and can be satisfactory if the homeowner is able to provide ongoing supervision.
