"It is always our goal at Kitchen and Bath World to leave our customers satisfied with their new space, as well as feeling they received the best possible customer service. If in any [Member Information Removed] we fell short, I apologize. I do believe that ultimately, KBW did achieve a successful installation and I hope you will enjoy it for many years to come. I would like to address some of the issues mentioned in your review and clarify them more thoroughly: I am aware the floor quote may have seemed more expensive than a professional who installs flooring only, on a full-time basis. We specialize in many phases of construction and installation but the quote we provide is all encompassing of the entire work to be done (i.e.: ripping out old flooring, disposing of it, including all rough materials, preparing the sub floor, new baseboard trims, thus installing the complete end product.) I also cannot comment on the quality or type of flooring you received in comparison to my quote, as that information has not be provided to me. We did try to move your project forward and we contacted you at the end of July to try to move your project ahead of schedule, however you had declined. Per your request, we began your project after the Labor Day Holiday. One of the other designers here at KBW was able to reach out to one of her clients and pulled them ahead and we placed your project in their slot to accommodate your request. Construction is not an exact science and we always ask for flexibility on start dates whether it will be a week or two prior to the anticipated start time to a week or two after. It is policy for us to address that at time of sale. We are a unique company, in that we do not utilize sub-contractors. We have eight teams of installers who are part of the Kitchen and Bath World team and we keep them installing all year round. Therefore, it is extremely important we have flexibility in start times as we will give each customer the same consideration to complete their project before beginning any new projects. Unfortunately, there were some doors that needed to be replaced by the manufacture. We agreed that they were not up to our standards, and ordered replacements promptly. While we always strive for perfection the first time, sometimes there are touch-ups that need to occur after the fact. I do apologize for not stating in the beginning of the project that when I visit jobsites the timing may vary due to the installation schedule. I did visit the job site two times, however, our schedules must not have aligned, as I did not see you there. It was a quick installation project as you have mentioned and only required a couple visits to go over the plans with our installers. I should have reached out to you to let you know that I was planning a visit ahead of time. Regarding the fact that wood moves due to expansion and contraction and changes in humidity in our climates is very true, unfortunately. The fact that the wood floor has not moved probably is due the fact that it is a different type of wood, oak compared to the solid maple that is your crown molding. Wood is a natural material and can have varying moisture contents. That being said, I should have more eloquently explained our suggested service procedure when dealing with expansion and contraction. Of course a service free of charge was in order to remedy the problem. We do prefer, but not require, to do this type of service in-between seasons when the relative humidity is closer to a year-round average. This often prevents it from being an ongoing problem. I only hope that you continue to enjoy your beautiful new kitchen. I would like to reiterate that should you have ANY questions or concerns, to not hesitate to contact us for any reason. Thank you for your feedback as all reviews assist us in striving to create to ultimate customer experience. Regards, Emily Larose Kitchen & Bath World"
"Mr. [Member Name Removed] purchased from us on [Member Information Removed]/29/2003, nearly 14 years ago. His purchase included a solid surface counter with integrated sink. Several days ago Mr. [Member Name Removed] contacted Kitchen & Bath World to inquire about repair of his cracked sink. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the product manufacturer has gone out of business and the material no longer available. In addition, photos were provided of the crack. In the photos it is abundantly clear the a garbage disposal was recently installed and the screw securing it was drilled through the sink, hence causing the crack. Since KBW is not a solid surface fabricator it was suggested that Mr. [Member Name Removed] contact a fabricator directly and suggestions were provided as a courtesy. Of course, KBW always tries to accommodate clients whenever possible, even as in this case when the warranty has expired and the damage that occurred was NOT due to KBW . Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of the product no longer in existence, there was nothing KBW could have done to accommodate the homeowner. To address the concern of the cabinet trim, I do not have any records of an issue or request for service, however since KBW does stand by its' workmanship, we would be happy re-secure any molding that may be an issue."
