Hagit and Carleton were easy to work with. They responded to our ideas and created an exciting contemporary design. They provided expertise that makes our medium sized kitchen feel spacious. They came up with efficient and aesthetically clever suggestions to make the cabinetry and countertop beautiful as well as functional. We also recommend their installer, Brian, who took great care in aligning the cabinets so that we achieved a flawless result.

Given the complexity of the project, it went as smoothly as something like this can go. Hagit developed a very functional and attractive design based around an island that would seat 3, along with a variety of cabinetry. She was very patient when we wanted a number of adjustments. She accompanied us to pick out counters and backsplash, and always seemed to have good ideas for selections according to our tastes. Brian mapped out the engineering, which included moving a support beam, together with an engineering firm. He also mapped out a three-month schedule with the various subcontractors the firm uses, like the plumber, electrician, plasterer, counter people, floor people, etc. They all had lots of experience with this kind of work, and in working with KCF. Brian worked hard to ensure that new wood flooring would match well with existing flooring just outside the new kitchen. The KCF team also took a lot of care to set things up in our condo to create barriers to minimize dust and dirt, and try to ease our inconvenience; they even loaned us a microwave to use in our temporary kitchen in the basement. For the most part, subs showed up as scheduled, and did good work. KCF also coordinated all the town inspections. There were only a few glitches--the biggest one was when the tiles for the backsplash arrived broken, and it took some weeks to get replacements. The tile outfit wasn't very responsive, and seemed not to care much. But KCF kept on with all the other work, and the tiles were finally put in pretty much near the end. We have used the kitchen for a couple months now and love it. The design and craftsmanship all worked well. Going through a kitchen re-do is never a pleasant experience, but KCF made it as painless as possible.

After our in person meeting/measurement session, Sara put together two good designs and then listened to us to build a hybrid of the two designs that we think will work really well. Quick turnaround, and the visit to the Kitchen Center was worth the trek. Payment for our design will be a down payment on cabinetry.

<p>This was about as seamless a kitchen renovation that one could ever hope for. Dave listened carefully to the goals we wanted to achieve in our kitchen, and was patient with the design adjustments we wanted to incorporate as we considered each version of the design plans. One cabinet in particular that was added toward the end of the design process was brilliantly conceived on his part--a cabinet to store large items that looked like a lovely piece of dining room furniture, with exterior shelving and drawers. It is a centerpiece in the kitchen. Dave was careful to preserve important walk ways in our kitchen so as to not create bottlenecks--an important element in this centrally located kitchen. His advice on style and color of cabinetry was also highly valued in our desire to achieve a cleaner and brighter look, yet one that was still consistent with our 1931 Colonial.</p> <p>The Brookhaven cabinets are beautiful and well-made. While they are pricey, Dave was able to steer us to take advantage of a manufacturer's discount. The selection of hardware that was available without incurring additional cost was completely adequate, and we took advantage of this option.</p> <p>Installation of the cabinetry was smooth and timely. We decided to make a last minute change to the placement of our microwave, which necessitated the order of a new drawer. This took longer than we had hoped, but understood that this was not a Kitchen Center issue, but rather one of the manufacturer, as each items is custom made. When the drawer arrived, it was without a front--this added more time. </p> <p>Once the cabinetry was installed, irregularities were minimal. Dave and a service that works with him tended to adjusting hinges, covering screw heads, and painting areas that needed to be smoothed. </p> <p>Overall, working with the Kitchen Center exceeded our expectations. Communication and responsiveness were excellent. They partnered well with our contractor so that there were no glitches or last minute surprises--almost unheard of for a kitchen renovation. The quality of the design and workmanship has made for a space that we are loving, and our only regret was that we did no redo our kitchen sooner!</p> <p><br></p>

The sheer scope of our project demanded extensive coordination between several different contractors and designers - something that has caused no end of headaches in the past. Under the guidance of Hagit, Brian, Mark, and the whole Kitchen Center team, however, our experience could not have gone more smoothly. Our remodel began with discussing design ideas with Hagit and Brian. After providing only a rough idea of what we wanted, they returned to us with designs that went above and beyond what we had envisioned - their experience and expertise were evident right off the bat. Like other reviewers have mentioned, their design included pegboard drawers, spice drawers, and an excellent and versatile arrangement of cabinets - though the highlight for me, personally, was the dead corner organizer. Their design really made optimal use of the space we had available. Hagit responded to our questions and comments promptly and with great insight, and the whole team proved very easy to work with. From that point on, it was largely a hands off experience on our part. We picked out some cabinet colors and designs, as well as the appliances and counter-tops (though we sought their advice on those as well) - but they coordinated all the contractors and subcontractors and established a construction schedule to which they rigorously adhered. Mark and his crew of contractors worked diligently and efficiently. They sealed off the second floor to preserve its livability and afforded us free use of the house throughout construction. His team, as well as every subcontractor they hired, provided excellent work that we are very pleased with. Any issue that arose was resolved promptly and satisfactorily. No project is without its unexpected complications, but the Kitchen Center team handled them with aplomb, and the project was finished well within schedule. Even when we chipped in that we were interested in having central air installed, Brian found a contractor and seamlessly integrated it into the greater body of work. Though they don't come cheap, the Kitchen Center is well worth the money. We are very pleased with the work they've done for us, and it was an absolute pleasure working with them.

This was not an inexpensive project and they were upfront when I first contacted them of what the expected price range would be. They also gave me the option of cancelling after the initial design was complete and only be billed for charges incurred. This was a very invasive project to my home as it required a variety of different tradesmen coming and going during the day. This was mitigated by sealing off the area of the house where the work was done to contain dust and limit damage. There were a few issues with the quality of workmanship as it progressed, but they were resolved quickly and redone to meet their standards. The job was complete within a few days of the original schedule. When a small issue arose a month after the job was complete and paid for, that issue was resolved immediately and at no cost. <br>Most importantly, I now have a new bathroom that I'm happy with.

The Kitchen Center came highly recommended by our designer as well as neighbors who had recently purchased kitchen cabinets. We had an extensive renovation, including a new master bathroom and kitchen remodel. Using quality materials that would endure the test of time in our new spaces was important to us, and after thorough comparison shopping we opted for Brookhaven cabinets from The Kitchen Center. The Kitchen Center had a large selection of cabinet styles/ finishes, attractive hardware and convenient accessories. We were able to find exactly what we had in mind. The staff worked seamlessly with our designer. The cabinet installation was expertly done, with a keen eye to the smallest details. Each staff member along the way was courteous and helpful. Our rooms have been transformed into beautiful, comfortable and very functional spaces, due in large part to the cabinetry. We are very pleased! <br>

Dave was great. We've never lived in a kitchen where the "flow" was this good. The design really incorporates how we live and cook in our kitchen. He also suggested a lot of really nice features- like an drawer right near the stove for our cooking oils, spice drawer, lots of pegboard drawers to store dishes, etc. We have space for just about everything now (including a printer drawer by our desk) in a fairly modest size kitchen. So, no more clutter on the counter tops! <br>Dave also was always prompt, answered questions right away and the cabinets came in on time. <br>I would definitely use him again!

. <br /> I had come to the decision of gutting my 50 year old bathroom and replacing it with a new one and a call was made to The Kitchen Center. <br /> They were courteous, respectable and professional during our conversations. After I chose them to work in my home, details of the remodel were given and all of my questions were answered. .A detailed contracted was issued which included a timetable for the projected work to be done. They continued to answer all other questions throughout the project. <br /> The project began and was completed as discussed. Dust control measures and floor protection was provided which assisted in keeping my home dust and dirt free with all the workers in and out. Another smart move on their part was to put a lock box on my door which allowed the workers to come and go as needed. This also gave me the freedom to do what I needed to do at any time. <br /> I know that there is always a snag during construction projects. In my case it was a tile issue which was taken care of according to the project specs. For this I was greatly appreciative that my best interests were of the upmost importance to the Kitchen Center. <br /> My experiences with the sub contractors,of which were many, were all of a positive nature. <br /> My new bathroom is beautiful and was worth the wait! <br /> I would highly recommend The Kitchen Center Of Framingham for any home improvements that one has in mind. <br /> <br /> <br />

Working with Sara at the Kitchen Center was fantastic. I was nervous about the cost of a new kitchen and overwhelmed with the details of a new layout. Sara was full of good ideas and she was so patient with me as we worked through planning my new kitchen. I compared prices to the kitchen company who originally installed our old kitchen and the Kitchen Center prices were comparable. I gave the price a B rating above only because it isn't cheap to redo a kitchen, but paying for quality cabinets is so worth it! It took me a few weeks to make a final decision on what I wanted, but when I finally did, Sara made sure that the delivery and installation of the cabinets was on schedule and kept me up to date. The installer was very professional. He was a perfectionist and he did an amazing job. Overall, we are thrilled with our new kitchen! We love the Wood-Mode cabinets, the pull-out shelves, and some of the nice bells & whistles that are available with quality cabinets. I would certainly recommend Kitchen Center to anyone who needs a new kitchen or bath and would like to work with a team of designers who are professional and knowledgeable.

<p>Jan 28, 2016: We wanted vanities for 2 bathrooms and base and upper cabinets for a kitchen expansion. We were hoping to take advantage of free design services from Kitchen Design Center of Framingham (KCOF). </p> <p>The cabinets did not meet our expectations. Instead of getting bathroom vanities we received kitchen cabinets for the bathrooms, meaning the vanities were significantly deeper than normal bath vanities. We provided the cabinet designer with specs for our bath sinks but the designer neglected to check to see if the sink would fit into the cabinet that they designed. After the marble counter was already produced we found out that the sink wouldn't fit and the solution proposed by Kitchen Design Center of Framingham was to cut down the sides of the cabinet and drawer boxes significantly. This solution was unacceptable and would void our warranty. Instead we found a replacement sink which would fit the cabinet and replaced the marble counter. Kitchen Design Center of Framingham refused to take any responsibility for their design error. Reluctantly, Kitchen Design Center of Framingham agreed to split the cost of the replacement marble counter, but insisted that these sorts of design issues happen all the time - yikes! In reality, we paid $580 for "free" design services.</p> <p>The kitchen cabinets installation was also disappointing. None of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts line up as they should. The installers insisted that the cabinets were installed in the best possible way and said that it isn't possible to align the doors and drawer fronts, blaming the situation on the Wood Mode cabinets. During the design process we weren't notified that this would be the case. In fact, we don't believe that Wood Mode would make cabinets which didn't allow alignment of doors and drawer fronts. In fact, the entire rest of our kitchen is Wood Mode cabinets which align very nicely. </p> <p>March 16, 2016: Following our initial review, Dave Bartlett at KCOF contacted us to see what could be done to rectify the situation. He agreed to pay the remaining balance ($580) for the marble countertop that wasn't used due to the sink change. He also agreed to come to the house and look at the door and drawer alignment issues. During his visit, he identified 2 issues and arranged to have these issues addressed. As a result, the alignment on the drawer and cabinet doors is improved. </p>

It was not bad, had many more good days than bad. Started the design at the end of june and got on the schedule the beginning of November. The demolition and rebuild seemed to fly by, then all the cabinets went in the counters etc. The ending of the project seemed slow but probably normal. 4 months to do all we did was expected. And the work is beautiful. Much better use of the space we had. Sandy did a great job designing and Brian and Mark a great job getting it done. I rated price a B since we did not shop around but I don't think we would have gotten the quality of materials at a better price, but I don't know. They made it easy from the start, and we were very comfortable with Sandy so continued on. <br />

KCF did an AMAZING job! Brian, Jasmin, Mark and their team of contractors were professional, courteous and most of all understanding of any changes we wanted to make to the overall project. The punctuality and consistency of their visits were sometimes a concern, but that's only because we have a cat and we wanted to cage her whenever they were there. Other then that, all the work was done while we were at work and we never gave trusting them in our house a second thought. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and certainly use them for any future projects we may consider! Thanks team!! <br />

<p>The Kitchen Center transformed a very ugly master bathroom into a beautiful and much more functional one. Brian Forestal, our project manager and Jasmin Lee, our designer worked with us to design our bathroom. After discussing what we wanted in our new bathroom, they provided us with 3 potential designs to choose from. Brian oversaw all of the work and managed all of the contractors, so we only had to interact with him, and he was very responsive to our needs. Jasmin helped us to select cabinets, flooring, countertops, ect. The contractors did a great job and everyone was very courteous and professional. Prior to starting the reconstruction they set up plastic barriers throughout the house to keep the dust from spreading through the house. The work proceeded smoothly and Brian communicated with us frequently to ensure we were happy with the work being done. The quality of the work was excellent. </p> <p>We are very happy with our new bathroom and grateful to Brian and Jasmin for helping us to design it. </p> <br />

Sara Ibora, the designer, is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She listened to our ideas, showed us different styles and layouts she had done and then visited our home to get a feel for the project and take measurements/pictures. Once we had a basic concept in mind, Sara went back and developed some plans along with illustrations to show us how it would all come together. She worked with the contractors to make sure that our dreams could fit into the budget we planned for the project -even with all the upgrades we needed to bring our home up to code. <br /> The cabinetry she recommended is beautifully made and totally fits our house. From ordering to delivery there weren't any problems - everything was packed nicely and labeled properly - everything arrived undamaged, and the contractor had no problems with assembly. <br /> After the kitchen was finished in April, Sara contacted us twice after to make sure that everything was OK and to see if she there was anything we wanted to change or add. We thought of a wine rack and she had someone in her office drop it off at the house for no extra charge.

Kitchen Center was excellent! They were completely professional and patient with inexperience. In a matter of a few meetings, we jointly converged on a beautiful set of cabinets and vanity that met and surpassed my needs. <br /> The design work was complete and detailed (no surprises on delivery). <p>I wanted to renovate my kitchen for a long time! When I finally decided this was the time I visited 3 kitchen design centers. I did not connect with any of them. I was very nervous about the project and was looking for a sales person who genuinely cared about what I wanted to accomplish. I was very discouraged after my 3rd center. On my way home from work one day I heard a radio advertisement for The Kitchen Center of Framingham! It was only a few towns from mine and thought to myself "I should give this one a try!" I called when I got home from work and spoke with Sara. I explained what I had been through and what I needed. She really listened to me and I made an appointment. I knew once I met her that she was the one I needed. Sara knew everything about the newest conveniences for a kitchen. She was extremely knowledgeable and not at all pushy or intimidating. She came out to my house and spent a long time listening to me and taking measurements for my addition. She made several suggestions about where to put the appliances and cabinets. She drew up a few different designs and spoke with my builder on several different occasions. She was very easy to work with and to get in touch with. She knew I was overwhelmed with all the different choices and was very supportive and gave me plenty of time to change my mind and decide! After many hours of meetings and discussions I made my choices! I ordered the cabinets and they came in a week earlier than anticipated which was great! When the hardware was delivered it was the wrong size. I called right away and she had someone drive the right ones over the next day! Fantastic service all around. She made a very scary process the best that it could be. I had total confidence in the Kitchen Center. </p> <p>I recommended them to some friends and they had a very similar experience as I did. I would recommend them to anyone! My builder does several kitchen renovations and he said the cabinets were the nicest he had seen...excellent quality! I am so happy with my new kitchen and The Kitchen Center of Framingham!</p>

We recently remodeled our 1960s kitchen and wanted to work with a local kitchen center that offered high quality semi-custom cabinetry. Since Kitchen Center carried Brookhaven by Wood-Mode cabinetry and were only 15 minutes from our house, we decided to give them a visit. We set up an appointment with Sara to discuss our kitchen project and got things kicked off right away. We visited Kitchen Center a couple more times to work with Sara on the design (we already had a layout in mind and she helped us tweak to optimize the space) as well as selecting our cabinets and hardware. <br /> Sara was great to work with - pleasant and precise - two requirements for a kitchen cabinet purchase. She also recommended a couple contractors that she'd worked with in the past, which ensured we had a flawless experience all around. After the installation, Sara stopped by to make sure everything was right - great customer service! Overall, our experience with Sara and the Kitchen Center was seamless, high quality and still relatively affordable. I would recommend them to anyone working on a kitchen remodel.

It was a pleasure working with Dave Bartlett and others at the Kitchen Center to select and develop the design for our kitchen and mudroom cabinets . We never felt rushed as we considered all of the possible styles and finishes and the optional items to make the cabinets and drawers even more functional. They considered our needs and gave us good practical advice to help us make our selections. They were also gracious about helping us coordinate the items that we decided to purchase from another source (some of the hardware and specialty glass for the doors) . The cabinets arrived when promised , allowing our contractor to keep on schedule with the job. We love our new kitchen and mudroom cabinets. <br />

<p>They did two bathroom and then did one bathroom so that we'd always have one bathroom to use. They were very organized. They laid out a schedule for us for each phase of the project. They did design sketches. They helped us with product selection: cabinetry, tile, granite and fixtures. They brought the plumbing up to current code.</p> <p>They set up dust barriers to keep disruption to a minimum. And since I worked out of the house, they accommodated my need for quiet when on conference calls to clients.</p> <p>They cleaned up all debris at the end of each day. And they were responsive in dealing with our punch list at the end of the project.</p> <p>And they kept their sense of humor.</p> <p> </p> <br />

We worked with Hagit Belfer who was phenomenal to work with! We purchased an older home that needed a gut-job renovation. Of all the things that we needed to select and buy, the kitchen was the easiest and most seamless selection - in large part due to Hagit and Kitchen Center Team. <br /> Hagit understood the style we were going for and helped us make selections that not only fit our lifestyle, but also helped reduce our budget. She was a dream to work with and extremely responsive. It was very rare that a question I sent to her would go unanswered for more than a few hours! She would also come and check on the installation progress to make sure that everything was as it should be. <br /> Our kitchen, master bath and master closet came out beautifully and we really have Hagit to thank for that! <br />
