Kitchen Pros had previously remodeled our kitchen and once again did outstanding work for us. Our hall bathroom received a tub to shower conversion, new cabinet doors, new toilet, a new countertop and sinks, and new baseboard and trim. Our master bath received a new countertop and sink, new toilet, new cabinet doors, and new baseboard and trim.

Richard and his crew are wonderful. I felt very much at home with them. He has the same people working for him that worked on my kitchen a couple years ago. Richard listens to what I want and makes it work with what we have. For instance, we found a return air duct in a new bath addition. Ok, let’s make it seem more intentional than that. So now I have a built in cabinet in that bathroom. I now have the house I’d always dreamed of. Plenty of storage space and we just love it.

We've done a lot of remodeling, and this was one of the smoothest projects we've ever experienced. Richard Varga is wonderful to work with . . . he stays on top of the work to be done, is calm and professional, has great problem solving abilities and a good eye for what will and won't look good. He was attentive throughout, helpful with selection of cabinets through to the end. He was responsive to my texts and calls and quick to address any questions or concerns. His people left the work area clean at the end of each day. Jose, the lead carpenter, is a gem! Projects this big will have their 'hiccups', but for us, they were minor, and things were resolved quickly. Very pleased with the outcome!

Richard and his crew did a wonderful job. The cost and time estimate were accurate. It took 10 days; They were on time everyday, very professional, very meticulous about everything they did and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Richard checked in every day and always returned my phone calls and emails in a timely manner. I've done a lot of remodeling and this was one of the best experiences . I would definitely hire Kitchen Pros again.
Richard was a dream to work with. He wasnt the lowest bid but he was without a doubt the best choice for us. We interviewed many general contractors and he was the one we felt most comfortable with.
He detailed exactly what his crew would do, what it would cost and when it would happen. The remodel was not without surprises just like any remodel. Every issue that came up, Richard and crew addressed and came up with great plans to address. The only issue I had with Richard was with one of his cabinet painters. They ended up having to repaint the cabinets and the finished quality was awesome.
I cant say enough about his crew especially Jose who was so so dependable and meticulous. His carpentry skills were awesome.
I has a few other contractors that I hired to do other work in the house and a couple of them were terrible..... but the Kitchen Pros crew was the best there could be and I recommend them!!!

Richard Varga was the contractor. When we got together to plan for the remodel and get the estimate he was always timely. He made very good suggestions on a lot of the details. Each crew that came to do the work were on time and were professional. Richard was always in contact with me throughout the entire remodel letting me know which crew was coming next and to give me their names. He would come by to check on the progress of the work. I was really dreading all of the construction but it was not bad at all. Things went very well. Had a problem with the stainless steel sink. There were rust spots on it. I called Richard he came right over checked it out and agreed that it needed to be taken care of. He reached out to the company that installed the sink and within a couple of days the sink was replaced. The estimate of the job was exactly what he quoted. However I found a backsplash that was a little over the budgeted amount but I was willing to pay the extra. This was a very good experience and plan on using them again next year to remodel my shower.
We contacted Richard Varga about five months before we actually did the work. We explained in general terms what we were hoping to do. He answered our myriad of questions and offered a few suggestions regarding things about which we had not thought. He took a lot of measurements, drew floor and room plans, itemized the parts of the job and submitted a preliminary estimate. He did not ask us our budget range but suggested, based on the things we said were important, that he provide a starting bid and we could discuss ways to lower it or what it would cost to go up in quality on any item. We then set up a series of meetings, mostly weekends but some evenings, to visit tile, granite, and cabinet shops to see options and determine quality level we were willing to accept/pay for. He was extremely patient and forthcoming and several times reworked his estimate as we came to decisions regarding the various parts of the plan.
In the middle of this process we had some plumbing work done which put us on hold with Richard for a few weeks. When we reconnected, we met twice more to finalize our choices and he gave us a "finalized" estimate--keeping in mind and cautioning us that once everything was torn out, it was possible that some unforeseen items could change the estimate. We said "Go", paid the deposit, and he said he could start about two weeks hence.
Apparently he finished a little early because he called about a week later (a Thursday) and asked if we could be ready the following Monday. The crew ( I think three very professional men) arrived on time and started the tear out. They closed off the kitchen as much as possible with polyethylene sheets to keep down the dust. Tear out took 2.5 days. Rough out of electrical occurred immediately--electrician was fantastic--traced old wiring and suggested splitting kitchen circuits. Since we had capacity at the service box and with the walls torn out making it easy, we said yes--add'l cost was less than $200. A couple of days off while waiting on cabinets and, as soon as they were in, granite countertop shop came to do final measurements for the three pieces we needed. It was about 9 days to get the countertops delivered and installed. During that time we did more of electrical work (installation of LED lighting) and installed tile floor. Tile installers did a good job but required more supervision and were less communicative. We had about three days down time waiting on granite.
Once granite was installed, it was about one week of intense work. Plumbing dress out (sink and fixtures). Tile backsplash installation and grout. Appliance installs (hood, stove, and dishwasher). Finish electrical. A little sheetrock patching and some finish painting. Countertop, backsplash, and tile flooring sealing. Whew!! He estimated four to six weeks and it was a shade over five.
Richard was great to work with. This was a big job for us and we thought we knew how much turmoil it would create in our lives but we underestimated it -- it is very difficult living in a house under construction. Richard and his crews made it as easy as it could be. But the final product is better than we even dared hope. We love having our kitchen as a center piece in our lives again. Final total was within $500 of estimate due to the added electrical and a change in lighting when we determined our old eyes needed a couple extra lights. Richard was onsite at some point everyday that work was being done and kept us informed about what we should expect almost every day. He was always available by phone when we had a question regarding something that was occurring or needed advice on selections we were making. He is not only competent and trustworthy but a gentleman. I will hire him again in the future when we move our attention to the other end of the house.

They used good quality, real wood kitchen cabinet refacing materials. I liked their source of the stained wood cabinets and panels, and everything else that they actually used. I liked the quality of workmanship used in installing the new cabinet doors and drawer facings. After the initial installers completed their work, the owner himself came out and did all the fine-tuning to get things just the way I wanted them. He was there for followup on three separate days, but he had no complaints about finishing up on the small details, and he often did the final tasks himself. All of this work was included in the original quoted price. And he was reasonably prompt in responding to my followup requests. This contractor was probably the best person I have ever worked with as a contractor. He is an unusually customer service oriented person. This is an important factor that people should consider when selecting their contractor. Finally, his prices were very competitive for the quality of real wood materials I requested.

Richard Varga, the owner of Kitchen Pros was great to work with. He had a very professional and calm personality that helped to make this kitchen remodel very successful. Before the work was started, he had a computer drawing done, so that we could see what the kitchen would look like when completed. Richard took us to the showroom to pick out the cabinets and granite that we wanted for the kitchen. We purchased our own appliances, but Kitchen Pros did the installation. Richard also gave us a week by week schedule of what we could expect. His workers were professional, did good quality work, and showed up every day on time to do the job. They were very respectful of my privacy, and also with protecting the rest of the house from dirt and dust. Richard kept us updated with any changes in the schedule , and let us know in advance what sub-contractors would be coming to the house. We were also very pleased with the sub-contractors who helped in the process. For the most part, everyone was professional and hard working. We made several changes and additions along the way, and Richard was very understanding and supportive of our decisions. Just like any makeover, there were surprises along the way, but good communication was very helpful. If we had any concerns, Richard was always available either by phone or text, and he made regular daily visits in the afternoon to discuss any problems or concerns. Going without a kitchen for 7 weeks was hard, but the finished product was worth the wait. If you are thinking of updating your kitchen, Kitchen Pros would be a great choice.
When we first contacted Richard, we thought we only needed a couple of cabinet revisions, and a granite countertop. However, on further inspection, we realized that we needed all new cabinets and a complete remodel. When Richard arrived to look at the job, we informed him of our change of heart, and he took it right in stride - he listened and immediately understood. He paid attention to each of the things we wanted, and responded positively to each one. He brought samples of cabinetry and countertops for us to choose from, he measured that day and sent us a quote and rendering within just a few days. We asked for a few changes, which he quickly agreed to, we gave him a deposit, and he had his guys begin work that day. The whole job was done in about 2 weeks - including demolition of the old cabinets, installation of new cabinets, a new quartz countertop and nice stainless sink, some electrical work including increasing the amps for the new double oven, and installation and testing of all appliances and fixtures. (We purchased/provided all appliances - the price above includes all labor, along with cabinets, sink, countertop, crown molding, and upgraded stainless sink.) The workers were excellent - not only did they do a really great job, they had great input on things like how to design the backsplash and how to trim around the fridge. In addition, they were consistently professional and friendly, and cleaned up after the job. Richard communicated with us regularly, so we always felt like we knew what was happening. We are very, very happy with the work - the kitchen is beautiful, and it was done on time and within budget. We would definitely use Richard from Kitchen Pros again if we ever had a need.
Richard was great. It was a pleasure to work with a contractor that shows up when he says he will. A contractor that works at making sure the desired timetable is kept, and were delays occur, keeps you informed. All work was top drawer.
The job went faster than we expected. Richard went beyond what we would normally expect from a contractor. On one occasion, when we had to be somewhere else for several hours, he even stayed at our house while the new countertops were being installed. We are well pleased with the quality of the work.
We heartily recommend Kitchen Pros to anyone who is considering kitchen or bathroom remodeling. As a matter of fact, we have asked Richard for a quote to remodel our master bath.

Richard is easy to work with, does what he says he will do. I like the communication and follow through. The cost of the final project is less then what he estimated because I forgot to ask him about the 5% off coupon on Angies List :-). The process took little longer then we anticipated because of building the cabinet and we provided defective faucets. We plan to use him again to redo our shower to match with our brand new vanity.

If you’re looking for an exemplary contractor, look no further Kitchen Pros is your contractor. Richard Vargas is the consummate professional. He delivered what we wanted, was always considerate of our schedule, his workers were courteous and always on time. If they were going to be late Richard would call with the time to expect them. Each day ended with work area clean-up, ready for the next day. Richards' proposal was way below others, great value for the money. The best thing is how up scale the kitchen looks now, thanks to Richards' team.
Response from Kitchen Pros
"Because of the tremdous response from Angie's list members we did get behind regarding the free estimates and we sent the quote to an incorrect email address. We have forwarded the estimate and have not heard anything back."

Richard made certain we were satisfied with the work. He made helpful suggestions. Everything but the painting exceeded our expectations. The material and labor quality was excellant . However, while the painting ultimately met our expectations, it was the weakest part of the job. Richard and Jose were a pleasure to work with. The kitchen looks great. I recommend Kitchen Pros.

They were very helpful with the selected tile that had to be custom done, especially with the framing of the tile around the mirrors. They were good, showed up on time, and cleaned up after themselves. All of the surprises were good surprises. They did a wonderful job and we are very happy with their services.
