Kitchens of Fredericksburg is a veteran owned kitchen remodeling business. We will perform small remodels of just cabinets and countertops, to full remodels that include redesigning or enlarging your kitchen, altering load bearing walls, flooring, lighting, moving and/or replacing appliances. We offer a free estimate and design visit where the owner will meet with you to discuss your project and create 3d renderings of the kitchen so you can visualize your project selections.

How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because I have always enjoyed design, remodeling and working with people. I started this business just after retiring from the Navy (Submarine Captain) after 33 years of service. I have been a lifelong woodworker and remodeler following in my fathers footsteps as a builder..

We started in this industry in 1985.

Remodel a Basement

First and foremost, the transformation of my basement is nothing short of amazing. Pete and his team demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail in every aspect of the project. What was once a drab, underutilized space has been turned into a stylish and functional area that I now love spending time in. He was able to give me a wine area with a glass door, and it is AMAZING! Even from the carefully installed flooring in the laundry room and the newly created office (which was just unfinished when we moved in), adding a hidden door (where the pool cues are) to the expertly installed recessed lighting, the new ceiling (which was a drop-ceiling at first) every element of the design reflects their commitment to excellence. One of the most impressive aspects of working with Kitchens of Fredericksburg was their reliability and punctuality. Moreover, Pete was an absolute pleasure to work with. His friendly demeanor and positive attitude made the entire experience enjoyable, and I felt confident that my project was in good hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Kitchens of Fredericksburg to anyone in need of renovation services

Remodel a Kitchen

Kitchen of Fredericksburg is a 5-star company! Pete, Kenny & Adnan were great! We had a pantry wall and a new shower put in. We could not be happier with the results. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We have crazy dogs & every morning the guys went through a dog a routine so that my pups were comfortable having them in the house. When we came across problems, which you will have when renovating, Pete came right to us, explained the problem, and gave us a reasonable solution. I would highly recommend using Kitchens of Fredericksburg if you are looking to do any renos! You won't be disappointed! They should be our only call for any upcoming renovations we would do. 5-STAR COMPANY!!!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
