KME Lawn & Tree

A request was placed on Angie's list to have tree limbs removed. I was telephonically contacted by KME Tree and Lawn on June 14th. The contractor advised he could not do a proper assessment of the job with the pictures I provided and would need to see the issue in person. The contractor from KME further advised after seeing the job, he would be able to give me a price and potentially do the job this same day. I advised the contractor this was a rental property I owned and to please notify the tenant of their presence. After arriving, the contractor took a video recording of the task. A negotiated price of $500.00 was agreed upon to complete the job. I was contacted approximately two hours later by the contractor to advise the job had been completed. A video of the tree, with the removed limbs, was sent to me via text. I was the requested to send the contractor $500.00 via cash app to Keith $BSM51. Believing that the job was completed, to include the removal/disposal of the cut debris, I sent the requested funds via cash app. Within approximately one to two days after the job was performed, I was contacted by the company (KRS Holdings) who manages this property for me. I was advised by KRS that the tenant received a citation warning notification about the collection of cut tree debris located at the front of the property and would this be addressed accordingly. I contacted the KME contractor on June 17th, who advised he would be removing the debris as early as Wednesday (June 19th). The contractor also advised he would be in court on Tuesday and to send him a text on Tuesday afternoon to remind him of this task. A text was sent to the contractor as requested. However, no response was received. I contacted the Portsmouth City Inspector (Mr. Sumler) who was responsible for writing the citation warning. Inspector Sumler advised he confronted the KME contractors while they were placing the debris at the front of the property. He told the KME contractors at that time they "could not" leave the debris there and that it had to be removed. Inspector Sumler advised he was told by the KME contractors that a trailer would be coming by the following morning to remove the debris. To date, KME Tree and Lawn have not removed the debris and have failed to return any messages.

KME did an amazing job in my yard. KME listened to what I envisioned for my yard. KME was professional, courteous, always on time, removed all trees, and excess grass etc. All of my neighbors were very impressed with the work of KME and have asked for their number to do their yards.
