Kol Marble & Granite

An excellent experience from picking out the countertops to installation. The customer service reps and installation crew were courteous and knowledgeable. Pricing was excellent. We actually thought we were going to pay double the price. The job took less a week from beginning to end. Our kitchen looks beautiful!! We would recommend KOL Marble and Granite to anyone looking to purchase new countertops.

The counter top slopes up at the corners from both sides a quarter of an inch in a span of just 41 inches. They said nothing can be done about it. The other problem was that at the left side of the stove the counter was low by a quarter inch compared to the right side. They did fix that .

Beautiful job! The kitchen counters have nevaska granite, and perla venata quartzite for the kitchen bar. Went in one Saturday, founds the ones we liked, took samples home to test for staining, etching, scratches - both passed with flying colors. Went back the next Saturday to pick our slabs, they came and measured, went back for placement on the stone and they installed the following Friday. They were in and out in a little over 2 hours. Very nice bunch of guys who did a beautiful job, didn't break or ruin anything - it was a pleasure to have a job run smooth and everything look better than when they came. We love the new stone, it looks like we have a bigger kitchen and the stone is so beautiful - we couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend KOL - they have an extensive selection, will answer ALL the questions you may have, and do a wonderful installation.

The communication and timeframe to fabricate and install the bathroom sink were excellent but the final result was not perfect. They broke the first sink while they were trying to install it so I had to go and pick another slab. They managed to install the second one without breaking it but the mitered edge was not filled properly, the color was not a perfect match and it was obvious where the seam is. They did come and tried to fix it, it looks better now but still if you find a lot of spots where they did not do a good job. The cut for the sink was not as it was specified and the edge is not what I wanted. They might be good if you do a regular countertop but if you want a mitered edge that is sharp and straight that is not the right place to get it. They use wood strips to make the template, it is not a digital template and as I can see from the final result they cut the stone manually instead of using CNC. I would not use them again.

They had to come back and did. The quality is fine but hasn't really satisfied us.

They are very efficient. I picked out the granite on a Saturday and by Thursday they were installing the countertop. Other granite places were at least two weeks for installation and were more expensive. I even got a free sink. I hired their plumber (Sal) at an additional $250 and it was worth it; he was very nice and knew what we was doing. The granite countertop is beautiful and I recommend Kol's.

Everything was excellent. They measured one day and came out the next week to install. They came on time, cleaned up well and I would recommend them.

When I called they were very professional, they gave me an excellent price. They came to the house on time, when they said they would be here. They were great here at the house and they clean up after themselves. I was very happy. I would use them again.

<p>STAY AWAY!  The "Manager" told me I was a horrible person and HUNG UP the phone on me when I asked for an issue to be resolved!!!</p> <p>We had our kitchen counter tops replaced by Kol and paid an extra fee of $250 to have Kol Marble & Granite's plumber come in after the counters were completed to re-install the plumbing under our sink.  While the plumber was there, everything seemed fine until near the end he started grunting and telling my husband that it was not his fault but our faucet was leaking under the sink.  He left our house with bowls and towels under the sink to catch the leaking water.  He then asked for my husband's cell phone number and within hours began texting him pictures of new faucets that he could "replace on the side" to fix the issue.  This plumber also tried selling my husband on updating our recess lighting - WAIT isn't this guy a plumber, now he's an electrician!?</p> <p>I contacted Kol Marble directly to resolve the issue and I am SHOCKED at the poor level of service I received.   I spoke to the "Manager" of Kol Marble, who told me that if I could "prove" his plumber created the leak, that they would fix the issue. (How am I supposed to prove this?  I don't have videos of my sink not leaking before they came).  Otherwise, I was responsible to purchase a new faucet and have it replaced.  (He kept telling me my faucet has a lifetime warranty and I need to contact the manufacturer of my faucet and they will send me a new one.  I explained back to him that Kol Marble is responsible for breaking my faucet, and they should provide me with a new faucet and they can take my old one and retain the warranty, but that I SHOULD NOT have to be dealing with this issue at such a level.)  He said that faucets have defects and my faucet has a defect, and they have nothing to do with it leaking.  However, there was no leak before Kol Marble un-installed our faucet and then re-installed the faucet.  Comparable faucets are nearly $200, and I do not think it is fair that as the homeowner, we should have to now replace a faucet that was perfectly fine before being handled by Kol Marble.</p> <p>After dealing with this very aggressive "manager", on the phone for about 15 minutes, going around in the same circle that they would not be replacing my now broken faucet, I told him this was BAD BUSINESS and I would be reporting them to the BBB.  He then told me I was a "HORRIBLE PERSON" and hung up the phone.</p> <p>I work with contractors daily and I have never experienced such poor customer service.  All I expected was that after paying nearly $3000 for counter tops (including the extra fee to have their plumber come in and re hook up all of our plumbing) with Kol Marble, that they would take responsibility for my now broken faucet.  I thought this would be an easy conversation, but it was the exact opposite.</p>

Day of estimate, no one showed up so waited 1/2 hr to call and about 1/2 later he showed up. Would have been nice to receive a call that they would be late. Granite guys were good. The granite windowsill was supposed to be replaced same day as countertops but I guess they forgot to template it. Windowsill wasn't replaced until the day the backspash was being replaced so they were all tripping over themselves in my little kitchen. Backsplash took two days to complete. Major complaint was the tile was not installed the angle I asked. I asked for diagonal and he installed the tiles straight. Two walls were already up when I noticed. Miscommunication between KOL and the installer. Minor complaint there was some of the electrical outlets were not cut out of the tile big enough, so can only screw one end of electrical out back in.

Great! They are VERY responsive and actually cared about making me happy. There were issues b/c our house was built in 1750.

The Granite has milkey white color in some places
