I paid for 4 hours of work. Matt replaced two posts on the front steps (which took about 30 minutes) and said that he needed to buy more materials to do the rest of the work. He was supposed to replace the rotted wood on my front deck/porch. He asked me for $100 cash to purchase more wood/materials and never came back. This guy is a thief and should be put in jail. <br /> I have tried to call and email him for almost 2 years now with no response. <br /> $149 for Four Hours of Wood Rot Restoration/Repair or Exterior Carpentry <br /> Purchased on: March 1, 2014 <br /> krakbuild Construction <br />

<p>Mat Bujak came out to give an estimate an hour later than stated time. Then on the day he was to start work, did not show up or call. I understand that it was raining, but he should have called to reschedule. When he finally came out, he was an hour late again. He performed the work rather quickly and didn't clean up very well. Also, there was a part of the door that he had to come back for and left a gap so when it started raining, the rain came into the house. He did come back to finish the work and was more timely this time around, but the overall workmanship was not quality. The painting on the baseboard was very sloppy as well.</p> <p>Update 1 year later: the door frame part that was replaced is starting to come apart already. Will probably need someone to redo the job soon. Better to pay more and get it done right. Pretty disappointed as this was my first time working with a contractor on Angie's list.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <br />

<p>This firm sent an estimator on August 6th to see what needed to be done. On Aug. 12 or 13th I sent another email to see whether the work could be done and what the estimated cost would be. I received an email the next day that said they were very busy and asked what my schedule for the following week, this week, would be. I told them and I have not heard from them since. If they cannot even tell me what the cost would be or respond to my email, I don't care how good he is, I don't see how I can work with them. This is no way to run a business. I would like Angie's list to return my $199.00 that I paid for 6 hrs. of labor for Krakbuild and I will find someone who cares. Please let me know when I can expect my deposit back.</p> <p></p>

i was in the process of replacing the subfloor in my kitchen. the <br /> joyces of the floor were not level and i took care of the majority of <br /> the work prior to his arrival. i left two corners for him to cut pieces <br /> of plywood for and to level using the ample materials i provided. he <br /> finished the task in approx one hour and was on his way. upon <br /> inspecting the work i could see little effort was put forth to make the <br /> floor level. It was so noticeable that I decided to remove the pieces <br /> of plywood to inspect what what done underneath to support the <br /> subfloor. Shims were just laying not secured by glue or nails. I then <br /> properly leveled the joyces and secured the shims before screwing the <br /> plywood back down. It was clear to me the main priority was to get the <br /> job done quickly as he was also frequently taking phone calls regarding <br /> other jobs he had going on. Some even caused him to have to go outside <br /> to devote full attention. Basically I paid 99.00 to have two pieces of <br /> plywood to be cut. <br />

"I'm sorry to hear that , but she did the subfloor by her self for save money and it was disaster what she did , she expecting from me to do miracle after her very bad job . I did my best for fixing her floor I did very good job and I couldn't do different way . Before I'm start i told her this floor what she did must be remove and re-done in different way but she told me just cover it like it is . I have no idea what she expecting from me but I'm not miracle worker"

In overall he did decent job, but did not finish it properly. installation of sump pump is completely waste. It did not solve the purpose, it was not tested the day he installed as it was very late and he promised that he will come after a week, after his different project completes and the weather would be better. However after many attempts to get hold of the seller for the psat 4 months, giving up. He continue gives vague answer, did not tell that he will not fix, just dragging. <br />

Very professional service. Two contractors arrived on time with all materials and completed the job in a timely matter. Actually the work was done so fast on a Saturday morning, by 1:00 p.m., I was able to go out the shop. Thanks, guys. We love the price, the job, and most of all your kind professionalism. The contractor came and removed beams, leaving two big openings to my garage that animals could have (or may have) entered through. Said he'd be back at the end of that week. At the end of the following week I called the contratctor to ask when he was going to complete the work and was told that "he forgot about my job". Said he would come the following week but didn't then either. When he finally came and did the work he didn't clean the mess of mortar on the ground and on my outdoor furniture. Didn't throw away the rotted wood although the work was completed 12 feet away from the garbage containers. Then had the audacity to charge me an additional $125 dollars. <br />

"Before we start the job I'll tell my customer it's going to take more than time at the deal , she said ok , I paid for material and I have receipt , I spend 2h more doing the work plus time what I have to go to store for mortar and bricks , I charge her 50$ for material and 75$ for time , when I start ask her for money she start complaining , garbage i stock by the wall and she knew I'm not taking it . Always I trying to be clear with my customers"

Purchased Big Deal for 3 hours of contractor service. Had 3 interior doors hung perfectly within the 3 hour window with removal of debrie and light clean up. Very Happy. Will call back when the rest of my doors arrive. <br />

First, if you have anything nice, do not use this man, he is dishonest, and will freely lie to your face. Now, he was rarely at the job site, instead leaving his "crew", who actually asked me to pay them, as he failed to pay them week after week. The quality of work was horrible, paint all over the floor, baseboards, crown molding, everywhere. The flooring, ceramic tiles throughout are crooked, leaving my chairs and tables to wobble all over. When I asked him why, he claimed we did not pay for the "good" work. Obviously shocked I walked away. I then noticed that , rather than use a latex paint in the bathrooms, he used flat, thus allowing mold to collect. We had to hire someone to repaint after the contractor refused to honor his work. <br /> The most disturbing part of this contractors work was the manner in which things that belonged to us simply disappeared. When removing our kitchen faucet, a $500 Moen touch, the contractor left with the item. When I realized he took it with him, he claimed that he assumed it was trash, a brand new faucet! He did bring it back, but without the power pack, and destroyed. Our garbage disposal disappeared, never to be found, plates disappeared, towels were destroyed, as his crew used them to clean up concrete and paint, these were bath towels. All of the towel racks, and tissue holder were also gone, never to return. When we looked in our fridge we saw that the crew and the contractor helped themselves to any food that was available, it was troubling. <br /> I finally cut ties with this man after waiting weeks for him to come back and "make things right", something he never did, and have now been told by American Express that he signed my name, without my knowledge, for payments. <br /> I have pictures for anyone interested in seeing what this mans work looks like. The house is a disaster! <br /> He should be removed from Angie's List, as this experience leaves me hesitant to find any service on here again.

"I'm very sorry to hear that ,because we did good job # 1 contract was for 22000 $ #2 we was working for 5 weeks and they was happy and keep paying me #3 if I was doing bad job why they was waiting untilI I finish my work , why they didn't stop me earlier #4 I was honest from begin I told them this floor needs to be straight up and this going to cost more money and he said that's ok go follow the floors and when he asked me why this floor is not perfect even I explained him he didn't want to straight the floor , but anyway I straight as much I can ,I never lie to them . From begin I was honest and clear ,never used his card without permission, he always had a card in wallet , this is scuttlebutt . #5 when I asked him what he wants to save he never told me about faucet , probably faucet was bad and that way he never told me to save them ,same thing to garbage disposal he try to get new sanitary ware for free .#6 we never eat from his refrigerator because he didn't live there for 5 weeks and I don't think so he was buying something to refrigerator , he tread people like a slave #7 after we finished 90% of the work and after he paid me $15000 I asked him for more money and than problems start , after view days waiting for money I said sorry but I can't continue the job without money and my guys don't want to work he said fine and he throw me like a garbage from his condo plus he called to American Express for claim last payment, I felt screwed ,I almost finished his condo in 95% and he never complain for quality of work until I asked for payment . I have over 20 years construction experience and a lot of happy customers if someone needs to see my other reference I can give it like 100 more ."
