Kring Cabinet Shop LLC is a small business comprised of caring craftspeople, with a principle goal of providing quality design, construction and installation of custom cabinetry. Initial free estimates are available for budgeting purposes. Drawings and design work are provided for a nominal cost. We regularly work with designers already contracted by our customers. Contracts will be provided by kring cabinet shop llc which include project specifications and payment schedules as required by Pennsylvania state law. We offer quality work at fair pricing.

Kring Cabinet has completed 4 projects in our 1800’s farmhouse - the most recent involved a custom vanity for an awkward bathroom. They have also done custom bathroom vanity and cabinets plus all the custom trim work for a large family room addition. We collaborate with Kevin on the design and he always provides exactly what we want. The workmanship and attention to detail are always excellent. He is a true craftsman!

We had a main staircase with honey oak treads,risers, and handrails, plus a tired looking carpet runner (pictured). We also had a second carpeted staircase with a honey oak handrail (not pictured). We were looking for options to refinish both staircases. Kevin proposed an approach that did not require sanding all of the old finish off the surfaces, which means less cost and hassle. Kevin refinished all the treads and handrails (all the dark surfaces in the photo), and then we had a painter in for the risers and spindles. We couldn't be happier with the final result.

Kevin and his associate Jason arrived on dot at scheduled time. Vey professional in approach - completed the job within suggested time window and to my satisfaction - covered kitchen floor with dirt cloth to avoid any damage - cleaned after the job was done.

Kevin replaced the existing doors with solid wood doors, and repainted the exterior of the cabinets (and painted the new doors) the colors of our choosing (we chose gray on the island and white on the perimeter cabinets). He also made minor modifications to the structure of the cabinets (e.g., added roller trays), installed new handles on the new doors, and installed under-cabinet lighting that we had purchased ourselves. We are thrilled with how it turned out. Kevin's passion for his work, his attention to detail, and his knowledge of his trade show through in the final result. I think it's impossible to tell that our cabinets used to be oak colored -- Kevin even filled in the wood grain so that it's not visible through the new paint. And the fact that we could pick any paint color at all allowed us to customize our colors to match our existing gray tile backsplash. We think the end result is as good as, or better than, had we totally replaced the cabinets, at a fraction of the price.

Kevin came up with a design for the built-in wall unit which had enough shelves for all our books, drawers for Cd's and DVDs, room for the sound equipment as well a flat screen TV. It turned into an amazing piece of furniture which matches the kitchen cabinets as well.

The cost estimate was reasonable and Kevin presented us with samples of the wood and stain that we had requested. There was no "pushing" from his end and once our final decisions were made, we set a date for work to begin. He is a true craftsman, tending to the all of the details, resulting in a high quality product. At the end of the day, we have a "new" kitchen, which those who have viewed, are astonished that the entire cabinetry is not new. I would not hesitate to call Kevin back for future projects.

The cabinet doors and drawers were manufactured by Conestoga and installed by Kring, both having the utmost quality and workmanship you would expect to see in a wood cabinet. My wife and I basically knew what we would like done in our kitchen remodeling-not a major demolition-but cabinet refacing with new doors,some reconfiguration for a dishwasher and an above range microwave,new countertop, backsplash,and the building of a new island/cabinet with good storage. But we had no idea who to turn to for this combination of work.Well we found just the perfect guy,Kevin Kring ! <br /> Kevin took our ideas, expanded some and brought it all to reality. He provided new doors,drawers and a sliding storage drawer to the older cabinets as well as adding a spice drawer and filler cabinets aside of the microwave and stove.He also built a beautiful island/cabinet with 5 drawers and a large storage area with pull out drawers,and we finished with a granite top. And in addition he built a perfectly concealing cabinet front to hide the dishwasher. <br /> He worked each day in a very professional and courteous manner. He was meticulous in completing the many details of this job as well as being easy to work with. <br /> <br /> We did interview several kitchen remodeling places and decided to use Kevin because we had used him in the past and he is neat, professional, and a very talented cabinet maker. And we liked his ideas and we felt his prices were reasonable. He has so much experience, also. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to kitchens and knows where to get the products we wanted in the area. We have been in other kitchens that he has built and they were all beautiful. He works with the individual or couple to figure out what they want and then makes it happen. All "his" kitchens do not look alike. They reflect the tastes of the owners of the house. <br /> <br /> Kevin was up-front with us as far as the cost. He was in touch with us every day during the project; he always answered my emails or phone calls. He was respectful of our time and the need to get us back to a functioning kitchen asap. He and his assistant, Jason, were pleasant to have in our home and protected the other parts of our house during the project. Not only is he very creative, he is industrious. We needed to remove a ten-foot granite counter from our kitchen. Knowing it was would be extremely heavy, Kevin devised a cart to transport the piece to the "Habitat for Humanity- Restore Store." <br /> <br /> We are very lucky to have such a talented cabinet maker and experienced kitchen remodeler in our area. We highly recommend him if you are considering any home project. Every morning I come down to my kitchen, I smile!

After seeing Kevin's excellent review on Angies list I decided to give him a call.I explained that we purchased a new refrigerator for my son as a present and at the last minute discovered that the refrigerator was too tall. We needed to get the cabinet returned as soon as possible.He already had a full schedule and explained that the job may take one or two weeks, but would see what he could do.Much to my surprise I received a call from Kevin after a couple of days and said that he had finished the cabinet and had ordered the new doors which turned out to be more cost effective than shortening the old doors.He said I could pick up the cabinet install it , get the new refrigerator installed and just pick up the new doors after they arrived.Everthing went as planned.The cabinet fit perfectly and the new doors were a perfect match. Kevin is a true craftsman, which is evident in the high quality of his work I would highly recommend him. <br />

Kevin Kring did a great job. He was honest and didn't try to sell me to have my cabinets veneered. He told me all my cabinets needed were a refreshing. It took him a day and a half and he worked with his assistant without stopping except for lunch. I trusted them completely. I would recommend anyone who is interested in having kitchen work done to call Kevin. He was very clean and left no mess for me to clean up. He also does other projects such as bathrooms, woodwork, hardwood floors, restoration and repairs. <br />

The kitchen is not done yet, but I have worked with Kevin many times before. He installed hardwood floors throughout my home. He made custom built in shelves in my den and bar area, and many other small projects. He is very reliable, thorough and professional. He comes when he says he is coming and does what he says he is doing. More than I can say for other contractors who just disappear. He does beautiful work and I highly recommend him for any wood working project.

Kevin and Jason arrived to take the three pieces away. They were very courteous and cautious while removing the items. They came prepared with moving blankets and rope to secure the items. <br /> <br /> Within a week, Kevin called to ask if he could deliver the items later in the day. I was shocked! I had expected to wait for 3-4 weeks or perhaps longer. They arrived as scheduled and placed the items in my home without incident. What a thrill it was to see my vision executed just as I had envisioned. The wood top on the console was beautiful and matched the base PERFECTLY as did the shelves in the TV cabinet. <br /> <br /> The old adage "hope for the best, but plan for the worst" is always in the back of your mind when you trust someone to create what you imagine. I needn't have worried with Kevin Kring. What an amazing man, and what a tremendous work ethic. <br /> <br /> We highly recommend Kevin. If I were building a new home, I would have no qualms using him to make all my cabinets and vanities. Sure wish I had run into him sooner.
