They were on time, worked through the day to complete the job and went a step further by replacing a separate piece of linoleum without additional cost.  Very professional, friendly and did a great job.  Would recommend them to anyone.  Having them back to quote on two other rooms. <br />

I was in need of some repairs to ceramic tile, hardwood floor and carpet. They came out and gave an estimate for all three repairs. They were lower than another company. I had cracked tile on my hearth, they came and removed the tile, put cement board down and then installed the tile and put a trim around the edge as it's higher than the previous installation. The hardwood floor we thought we would have to replace 7 boards, but after sanding, it's salvagable without replacing it. The carpet repairs were to some damage areas between rooms. I had pieces of new carpet from the original installation. They put in a new section and then used that part to replace some smaller spots.  All the repairs were done quickly and professionally.  They were very protective of my floors and put carpet padding under their tools.  They cleaned up quickly when done.  I would use them again for repairs or installation. <br />

I found this company on Angie's list and they had pretty good reviews so I gave them a call for a free estimate on carpet for our new addition. Rob showed up as scheduled and was very personable and easy to like. He brought quite a few samples and on 11/25/13 I went ahead and contracted for carpeting and paid 1/2 down in cash. I got a discount for Angie's list, but only by paying cash, he said he could not give a discount if I used a credit card. The carpet was not in stock and it was noted on the contract that install would not be for 7-10 working days. On 12/12/13, Rob was here with the carpeting which was quite heavy commercial grade, very difficult to install with one person doing all the work. He persevered to finish the installation and left about 9:30 PM that night. He did not have anything for a receipt and no paperwork on the warranty on the carpet, but said he would forward it to me. No problems so far..... <br /> Over the last 3 months I have spoken with Rob 2 or 3 times regarding the warranty information AND about purchasing more carpet for an adjoining bedroom. He did come over and measure, gave me a rough estimate and left two sample boards, saying he would return the next week. We also discussed a problem area on the installation (a step up in the bathroom that has staples showing) he said he would take care of it when they installed the bedroom carpet. About 3 weeks later he called and said he couldn't remember where we left off, I refreshed his memory and he said he would be over today 3/28/14, and possibly bring more carpet samples. In the meantime, he would e-mail me the warranty info.  He showed up, but didn't bring any more samples. I asked if I could possibly come to their showroom and he said they didn't have one. I said I never got the warranty emailed to me, he said he was sorry he forgot, but would email it from my driveway before he left. That was 2 hours ago and I haven't received anything so far. I honestly think the only reason he came here today was to get his sample boards back. <br /> If I have any problems with the carpet, I have no idea who manufactured it or who the distributor is, the only contact I have is Lake Carpet & Flooring and my relationship with them is strained at best. Bottom line is, customer service after the sale is not good....no warranty info....never mentioned the problem area in the bathroom...didn't seem interested in any further business with me. <br /> <br />

It went extremely well.  Rob was very responsive to my first call.  Brought out samples and advised on best choices.  We agreed on the price and by the next week the materials were ordered and installed.  No fuss and no muss.  This was for a rental condo that I am selling.  I have some additional flooring needs in my own condo, and I will be seeking out Rob's assistance for this work as well.  Quote for materials and installation was the most reasonable one I received. <br />

It went beautifully!  There were some minor delays due to the weather down south, but Rob at Lake Carpet & Flooring was always right on top of everything. Rob was very prompt in returning emails and phone calls  -  always professional and cordial, he made sure to keep me updated each step of the way - something I don't always get from service providers.  <br /> I love my new carpeting!  Rob and his associate had the carpet installed and vacuumed and furniture put back in about 5 hours.  <br /> It was a pleasure dealing with this company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in flooring. <br />

I hoped to get the flooring in over half of my house replaced before a party I was planning a month away. Rob made several trips to my home to show me carpet and linoleum samples before I made my choice. When the supplies came in, we chose a starting and finishing date. All promises were kept, the house looked great for the party and the price came in below the quote because the much of the sub floor was in better shape than expected. There was one minor issue in that I wanted the linolium to extended a couple of feet from the kitchen into the living room where there is a lot of traffic. They extended it a few inches further than I expected, so they made the correction without any problem or hassle. This is the second time I used this company as I had the master bedroom carpet replaced three years ago by them. I would highly recommend them. <br />

Rob and his installation crew were very easy to work with and very understanding of my situation. My condo had been flooded by a pipe problem during a heavy rainstorm and it was a real mess. The water extraction team had removed all of the carpet tack strips from the concrete subfloor, which added extra time and work to the job, but Rob made sure everything was put back in order and in good time. The whole job was completed in just one day and I was very pleased with the result, as the new carpeting looked better than what was replaced. The carpet crew was very cooperative in moving my furniture and other stuff, most of which was still piled up in the middle of rooms. They even reimbursed me for a broom that was broken while they were sweeping. All things considered, Lake Carpet did a fine job and they would be the first people I would call in the future for any flooring needs. <br />

Robert was professional, knowledgable, and timely from start to finish on this project.  He walked me through the install process, and came up with alternative ideas I had not thought of based on my needs.  This saved me time and money.  I would definitely recommend Lake Carpet and Flooring. <br />

I had purchased a big deal for the service.  I was impressed with their responsiveness, they were very easy to work with and they very friendly. I would recommend them to family and friends.

They did a good job. I was happy. He did what he said he would do, and he did it in three hours like he said he would.

Rob was GREAT to work with!!!  He was able to meet me at my house for the estimate within two days.  He came with many samples, as I was not sure what I was looking for.  He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions so I could choose which carpet was the best for us in that room.  He completed the job within a very timely manner and it looks FANTASTIC!!!  And the prices just cannot be beat. <br /> I am so pleased with the work and Rob was very easy to work with.  He was always professional and did everything that he said he was going to do in the time frame that he gave me. <br /> I will definitely use them again when the time comes to do the rest of the house.  I recommend him to all of my friends and family. <br /> <br />

We had a good experience with Lake Carpet.  Rob was very knowledgeable about each type of carpeting. We had a hard time choosing carpet based upon a small swatch so Rob had a few larger ones FedEx'd right to our house in a few days straight from Mohawk. Rob was always on time for our meetings and communicated very well.  Installation was done right on schedule and went well.  They did ding/scuff a few pieces of new woodwork, which they state in the contract may occur. One of the black scuff marks was easy to remove, which I think they could have done themselves. So far we are very pleased with the carpet and would hire them to do the rest of our house when the time comes. <br />

we changed the basement carpeting (~1600 sf) on a short notice. this was for our out of state property and I was in town only for few days. Rob met with me at the property the day after I called their office. He brought samples. I collected pricing from three other area carpet businesses. Their pricing was the lowest for the same carpet. They installed in a few days. They left the house clean. they were very professional. It was a good experience. I will use them again in the future for upstairs carpeting.    <br /> <br />

They did the best job that they could do, and the gentleman was very nice. They did have to come back, but they did it the same day, and I was very pleased with their work.

The salesman came out to our home to show samples after I described over the phone what I was looking for. He had an appointment out our way which ran long, so he ended up getting there pretty late at night. I needed the process to be a quick one as it was one of many decisions I had to make before moving into the house. The choice was made, the rug was ordered, cut to size and the edges were finished off in time to be delivered on moving day, which worked out perfectly. Rug and pad were placed, any ridges from being tied together during transit were pointed out and explained that they will settle down which is fine.

I had been through a nightmare with getting the remodeling done through a construction company. The carpeting part of the remodel was delayed because the contractor's check to Painesville Flooring bounced. Rob waited until he had been paid before he would come out (smart guy.) When he started, he called me to let me know when he would be coming and kept me updated on every phase of the job. He was very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. He was easy to talk to, and willingly answered all my questions. The quality of the carpeting seems to be what I had selected early in the whole project. He cleaned up so there was nothing laying around for me to throw out. I know that sounds like common sense and standard practice, but you'd be surprised how often it doesn't get done.

I was referred to Painesville Flooring from a family member. I gave Rob a call he came out to the house and gave us a free estimate. His price was nearly 25% less then other local companies and he carried the same brands of carpet. He seemed very professional and we could tell he had years of experience so we decided to use them. We had our carpet installed within the next few days. The carpet looks great and the guys were very friendly. They even moved our furniture around for free.
