This project went very well. I would definitely use this company again. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job.

We had a technician out for maintenance on our old AC unit. He cleaned the unit, added coolant, and added a kit to reduce the unit’s hard starting noise. Two days later, the unit was no longer producing cold air. Another tech came out and explained that the previous repair had compromised the system and all of the coolant had leaked out which would require additional repairs. I’m not sure if that’s true or simply a way to get more money out of us. We moved on and went with another company.

Christmas Eve morning and no heat! I submitted a request and received a call within minutes. We made arrangements for a service call that morning. When the service guy was running late, I received a call explaining the delay. My furnace problem was fixed quickly and the price was reasonable. I will definitely call them again.

My a/c broke at 9pm and I called Lakes One Hour and actually got a live person! They got to my home early afternoon the following day and diagnosed the problem and fixed it in short time. A part needed to be replaced and they recommended a proactive installation of an additional part to prolong the life of my unit. All in all I was only without air conditioning for less than 18 hours. I'm pleased with their responsiveness, communication and professionalism. I would use them again.

The entire interaction was great! It was almost 100 degrees outside. Our ac just wasn’t keeping up. I called at 10 am and someone was out by 1:30-2:00. Had it up and running within 20 minutes!

Great, although I had to wait 8 days for the installation. It was one of coldest weeks in December and it was a good thing I had a fireplace. The installation was quick, it took less time than estimated. Installers were professional and they cleaned up the area.

It went very well. It was very good. He was very good. He was right on time. I am still thinking about the service contract. He did a good job, they are close by which is a perk, especially in an emergency. He was extremely thorough in explaining things, probably more than I needed to know.

Tech found cracked rivets in heat exchange. No issues with that. Problem was he told the occupants they should NOT use the furnace. They were very frightened. A different company verified finding noting that "should" be addressed by no need to immediately stop using unit. I did not appreciate the scare tactic.

I would recommend LAKES HVAC every day of the week Phil was on time, friendly and very informative. he offered maintenance contracts with out being pushy and let me make a decision

Phil noticed the furnace was short cycling. He then realized that the original installers put in a 100k BTU unit when the invoice called for 75k BTUs. I called the original installers and the owner came out check it out. He came back a few days later and adjusted the unit to 80k BTUs and the unit has run better ever since. Without Phil I may never have realized I had the wrong unit installed. Kudos go out to Phil.

They never cleaned it or tuned it. They immediately tried to sell us a new one or tried to get us to buy a $500 part.

Great. The guys were professional, cleaned up after themselves, answered al my questions. I don't know if I got a decent price on the furnace or not, as it was kind of a "You need to turn this off because there could be carbon monoxide" type of problem and, as I said, it was below zero. What's a girl to do? Good thing I had a friend, a general contractor, stop by that morning that the inspection was scheduled. He verified that the replacement was needed but didn't offer me advice on the price. So I still don't know if I got a good decent price or now.

Very well. At $29, a bargain. They did identify a furnace part that was showing signs of wear, but there was no pressure to buy now or replace by their company.

Outstanding! I called Lakes HVAC on a Saturday morning and Phil came out within a couple of hours (it was raining so he had to wait). What I appreciated the most is his honesty. Phil was knowledgeable, honest and no hard sell. My home is 19 years old and it is obvious the builders cut corners on the HVAC/AC. Although my AC is 3 tons, it is probably too small for the size of my home - I really need zoned HVAC. Phil came out, provided me with options, including new install, and did not try and force me to buy a new unit. Because of this, when I do replace the AC and furnace next year, he will get my business! To show you how honest and upfront Phil was, I never told him I that I was a professional purchaser and have been for 30 years. I know all about HVAC - built buildings, so I KNOW he was being honest and straight forward including the prices he quoted. What drove up my costs was the freon. As you know, this is being phased out and is hard to get. Based upon that, you have to pay a premium for it. Please do not hesitate to use this provider. I expect that next year when I call he will be pretty busy and I may have to wait, but that's okay - he deserves it! Great contractors like Phil deserve to be busy!
